This video assumes you have other dash pieces out, and therefore misses some of the screws you have to remove to get the console out. It's not as easy as this makes it seem.
hey, you are making great DIY thank you, by the way that is not the climate control unit, it is the on board computer OBC. I am using ths DIY to replace my center console!!! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for sharing this sir this video was very helpful I didn't realize that this center console trim panel was held in by screws I thought they were just clip fasteners and I didn't realize I had to take out the on board computer thanks for the details I'll be able to get mine done now.👍
I changed my trim out of my 93 325is, from a junkyard one of a different year I believe. My auto/manual selector fit up good, but my original trim had an ABS connection on it that doesn’t line up with my new one, the new one has a diff connection. Why would abs connection be on my shifter trim? Pls help. Worried about what’s missing with it not connected
I tried twice to remove the center console and gave up. LOL Now, I know how to remove it, thanks to your video!
Glad we could help.

is it true that having the a/c repaired is a major job not worth fixing? seems to be a leak in the lines in mine.

👍
Thank you for watching our channel.
I broke my windshield removing that shift knob.
+Sigma Octantis Almost broke my nose first time i removed shift knob. Not fun.
bimmermerchant I'd rather hit myself than a costly windshield though :( Apparently it only takes a bump to the rear-view mirror to do so.
Since when does the e36 m3 have an auto?
Nicolae Zota the U.S. ones do :(
my shifter plate won't go back on?
might be that your metal clips that retain the shifter plate in place are broken.
+bimmermerchant they are fine, the yellow part is stopping it from going down
+bimmermerchant do you mind making a short video so I can see how you put it in please?
Bruh you skipped the whole arm rest
"for the climate control"
you mean OBC right lol
