Finally, a beginner European Portuguese video that goes slow enough, and repeats the same sentence a few times! Thank you so much! I was getting extremely frustrated with other channels. So happy that I found this channel! ❤

Addressing someone with Você in Portugal is rude isn't it?
@@simononeill1157
In European Portuguese, "você" is often used as a formal or polite way to address someone. It's equivalent to "you" in English, but it's considered more formal and respectful than "tu," which is the informal form of addressing someone. "Tu" is commonly used among friends, family, or in informal settings, while "você" is used in more formal or respectful situations, such as addressing strangers, elders, or in professional settings.
@simononeill1157 actually call someone of você is very polite and correct, eu sou nativo do brasil
É só você configurar a velocidade do vídeo.

I love this channel I appreciate you say the phrase 3 times, increasing the speed each time.
More videos of this type would be a great help . Muito obrigado
I have been learning European Portuguese from youtube for about a year on and off, this is the best channel👍
About "I need to go -> Eu preciso ir", isn't it "precisar de"?...so you have to use "de" also? Is this one not the correct way to say it..."Eu preciso de ir"?
I have a beginner question, maybe someone can answer. In this video they use Voce. Does not it mean it is Brazilian Portuguese? Thank you. I am confused about Voce a lot.

This is Portugal Portuguese
@@learnportuguesetodayisn't "Tu" used more instead of 'Voce" in Portugal?
@@hassanrs I am from Brazil and I think so. But even here in South of Brazil " tu" is more used, but in general in Brazil " você" is more used
thanks you very much. muito obrigado

Hello, can you clarify the use of “você “….as I understand in Portugal it’s somewhat impolite and not used as much compared to Brazil, yet you use it often. Is it a regional usage? Thank you.
Hello!
In European Portuguese, the word "você" is a formal way to address someone using the third person singular pronoun. It is used to show respect and politeness.
This form of address is commonly used in formal situations or when showing respect to someone older or in a position of authority.
Hope this helps.
I saw someone's say that too, " você" is unpolite, I have never head that here in Brazil. Where did you learn that? Você is the correct way to call a person
Very good teaching ❤

wht is the difference between liga me and ligue me?
They are both commands that mean “call me”.
“Liga me” is the command for “ call me” addressed informally to someone who is your equal. For example, “Liga me depois “ to a friend, which means “call me later”.
On the other hand “ligue me” is the command for “ call me” addressed formally to someone who is your superior or someone you don’t know very well. For example, “ligue me quando puder” to a business associate or someone you just met, which means “ call me when you can.”
So the difference between both is a matter of formality and the grammatical person used in the command.
Hope this helps 😊
