One of the most profound statements you made; "Even the dealership don't know the difference..." We sometimes expect the dealership to know all when they don't. The technology is forever changing and the staff just cant keep up with the changes. This information will save a lot of DIY'ers time and undue stress. GREAT INFO!

I just picked up 2 of the 2007 Seadoo Wake JetSki with the 4-tech engines. I’m trying to do a little maintenance first before taking them out on the water.
The 2nd JetSki - I installed new spark plugs, fresh ethanol free fuel, fuel stabilizer, fired it up for about 3 mins. Went to change the oil and had found Milky oil 🫣🫣🫣.
I also drained the Coolant in which oil found its way into that as well. Orange antifreeze with milky spotting of oil in the mix 🤮.
Any suggestions on where to start to troubleshoot?
FYI - hours gauge doesn’t even have 30 hours on it. 🤨
Possible head gasket? Maybe Oil Cooler internal rupture?

Start with the oil cooler. easier to check.
Can pressurize the cooler and check for leaks and check the o-rings.
if that checks out then head gasket is likely.

@@865-customz I definitely will. I appreciate your info. I work on many different things HVAC, Compressors, small engine equipment, dirt bikes etc. These Jet Skis are new to me.
I subscribed to you and I’ll let you know what happens. 👍
      Have a good night.

I am working on a 2013 GTI 130SE and the engine oil leaked into the coolant that made icky mess throughout the entire system, but there is no trace of coolant in the oil. Do you think it's a blown head gasket or a leaking oil cooler? Also, what's a fast way to flush out all that mess from the cooling system?? Thanks for making great videos!

      Would pressure
check the oil cooler first then look at head gasket if the cooler
is ok. Pull the drain bolt out
of the back of the ride plate and hold the coolant bottle high as
it will go and flush it a few times.

Most likely a bad sensor. Replace the sensor first.

Engine is under load in the water and blow by will show under load. I would check compression and oil level. A high oil level add oil to the intake.

What are the ways oil can enter the coolant reservoir? I overheated this weekend and my coolant tank had oil mixed in.

    • @865-customz

Most likely the head gasket. Have seen oil coolers leak also but overheating leads to head gasket.

Will need to to inspect the cylinders and head for cracks also.

At the beginning, where it shows the oil pump turning, they don't mention that the oil pump drive rubs against the aluminum case and shaves off metal creating metal particles that then flow through the engine. It says the filter keeps the oil clean. What about the 1,000's ofmetal particles that miss this? The particles pit and score the oil pump drive cog and it's housing, and also degrade the water pump seal to the point of leakage. Forums state conflicting comment s on this. Some say it's completely normal, some say it is not. Of all the members that I've seen that say it's normal, none provide factual evidence to support this, nor professional expert opinions from seadoo service managers, engine rebuilders of any sort, or mechanics outside the influence of seadoo. While any of these professionals I've talked to say this is not normal and not acceptable.

i did read about jetski rentals who have ski's with 600 up to 1200 hours on them, and with no problem at al, and that kind of hours are a lot,
because normal owners don't put more dan about 200/400 hours on their ski's, so they are very reliable engines then.

3DPeter yeah those rentals are typically naturally aspirated engines.

Personally I have seen very few Seadoo SC ski past 400 hrs. Most rentals are Yamaha NA
