This is my daily beater and i work in dark and bright environments and have ZERO problems with telling the time at a glance. The red light is also easy on the eyes in the middle of the night. Your negative view on this watch is only yours, any real horologist appreciates this for what it is. Disliked the video.
Three years ago I bought a £12.70 large display digital watch with light, timer, day, date. Thought it would last a couple of months. Word it through a lot of outside di y work. I mean heavy graft, mixing conctete, putting fences up, digging drive drain, with 9 inch concrete cutter etc. Still going strong. Oh, by the way, keeps better time than my 18K Rolex!
My Rolex Air King has a hour hand, a minute hand, and a second hand, and it cost 7850 euros, what a bargain, I cant wait for his review. My G-shock has a list of functions to big for this post, but cost 99 euro, and guess what, I really love the look of this 30 euro watch. Everyone should have one!
I picked this up today for a tough beater work watch. I work outdoors mowing, tree trimming and doing light construction. I’ll see how ell it holds up. The display looks sharp outside for sure.
Its an aaamzing watch, I have been using it from last 3 yrs and also swimming daily 1hr. You bought a wrong display, It was your mistake as the negetive diplays on all other watchs are pathetic... But this watch is an amazing watch with notmal display...
I have the positive display one. This watch is as basic as it come. While I do agree that negative displays are bad on most casios, I would vouch that this watch is one of the more usable negative display available thanks to the larger numerals. Now, do I love this watch? Not really, I'd rather wear the ae 1200, 1300, or for the big one, the pro trek. But I sure as heck going wear this one for work as the most beatable watch, and it sure proven itself tough as nails. As for the absence of the back button, just hold it down and it would cycle faster. Not that I use timer functions that much on these, as most phones already have that function and does much better job at it.
Not having a reverse button is absolutely a deal breaker for me. Thank you for pointing it out. B640 is the same way and there is no big youtube reviewers talking about it. It's really pain in the bottom to use the timing function of the watch.
I agree, the negative display is bad. A positive display one would be good for certain uses. I ride my bike a LOT. A big display would be nice for a quick glance. Also maybe camping, hiking, rock climbing, etc. Something active, but for daily wear or casual wear it is WAY too big.
I like mine as well. What do you expect from a $27 watch?

Nowadays people criticize freebies even. It's $20 and it's gorgeous. Best budget watch ever.
I have a watch collection and this is my favorite daily, never let me down yet, comfortable, light and cheap

I've had mine for 4 years now I love it
Why did you buy it? I try to avoid negativ displays anyway. I can't read most of them.
Simply buy positive displays or the GBD-200... 🙂

My watch has lasted over 10 years and it works well. Mine has the black numbers on a white background.

Yup... What the hell Casio :(
Great watch, you don't really have to consider that as a deal breaker. This watch more or less looks like g shock and is cheap and it's durable too.
