Nemophila is probably my favorite metal band right now. I would highly suggest checking out a few more of their songs: Adabana, Oiran (live at Naon Yaon), Raitei, and my personal favorite, Hozuki. 🤘🏻
All the best Metal is being made by female, Japanese master musicians and it means that the world's Metal scene is at its best since the 70's and 80's. They released a superb new song 3 days ago, Now I Here - th-cam.com/video/vmbE1gikVtQ/w-d-xo.html
01. ADABANA - 徒花 - "Fruitless flower" 02. Another Story (ballad) 03. A Ray Of Light 04. Back into the wild 05. Blooming 06. Breaking Out 07. Change the World 08. Creature 09. DISSENSION 10. ENTEN - 炎天 - "Scorching/blazing heat/sun" 11. Fighter 12. GAME OVER (ballad) 13. Hōzuki - 鬼灯 - "Demon Light" - "Winter cherry" / "Japanese lantern" plant 14. HYPNOSIS 15. Life (ballad - their "official anthem") 16. MONSTERS 17. Night Flight 18. now I here (ballad) 19. OIRAN - "Courtesan" 20. RAITEI - 雷霆 - "Thunder" 21. REVIVE 22. RISE 23. Rock’n’Roll Is? 24. maybe you need to hear "Raitei", you will love it. One of the fewer with no screaming, high-pitched whistle fry tone. Mayu uses her singing voice, and in that particular song...guitar playing is way better and more sophisticated))) so, good luck learning how to play it)))
You should definitely check out their latest live video for the song, Now I Here. I think you’ll both dig that. More of a ballad with super clean sounds and some great vibrato in Mayu’s vocals. Beautiful song.
I love this song. And yet I understand why, um, I don't know her name, will call her Lady Reactor, doesn't like Mayu's harsh vocals. I didn't like them at first, either. It took several different songs, and repeated listening to warm up them. They are much more shrill than, say, Yukina of Hanabie. Yukina's growl is like a grizzly bear and Mayu's growl is like a mountain lion. 🐱🐻 Keep trying, you might just come to enjoy Mayu's banshee wail after awhile. Maybe try the song 'Style', as it is quite different from most of their other songs. It's one of my favorites, anyway. Cheers!
Motivate your self to start playing a 7 string like Saki and Hazuki LOL i did .Not all are this heavy but all are awesome . Try Adabana or Hypnosis or Style next
I downloaded a Playlist I made of the 40 some covers they've uploaded and listen to them regularly too. Some GREAT covers that have also gotten me into other bands like Maximum the Hormone, Passcode, Hanabie
Great reaction. Should really try them live like the so ng Oiran Official Live. Oiran is another banger and their first recorded song they did and is usually the show closer. Revive is another banger and kick ass. Adabana is amazing too and Hypnosis is very cool But if you want to try some without the screams try Raitei, Monsters, Fighter,. There is also Style which she raps in some reminds me of numetal. They also released live video this week from one of their concerts of them performing a slow ballad called Now I Here., Beautiful ballad with killer solo. Also another slower one is Life. amazing song. These ladies are kick ass musicians and have a variety of songs to pick from for sure. But they are mostly metal and hard rock. they also have done some killer covers in the past like Iron Maiden .AC/DC and many others.
I like all of those. Asterism is three child prodigies who play instrumental metal full tilt professionally for about five? years now and are just reaching legal adulthood. In this case their phenomenal guitarist Haruka/"Hal-Ca" is female and the youngest; the bass/rhythm guitarist and drummer are male - brothers actually. Lovebites does power metal/speed metal insanely well, in white dresses yet. Two guitarists can each play anything but do amazing duets. They almost always sing in English. Band-Maid is hard to classify. They are metal-CAPABLE. Fans more often regard them as mostly hard rock. Lead singer Saiki has a wonderful full voice with great expression and regal stage presence while rocking the hell out. My #1 band since I heard them around 2016. Fantastic guitar work, a bit complex, super bass player, crazy good drummer (Jimmy Page is a fan and asked a picture with her), engaging personalities. They occasionally sing in English. Bridear has a bit of everything. At first lead singer Kimi struck me as more garage-punk than metal, but grew on me, and has matured. Occasional harsh screams. At their best, they're a headbanging wonder. Sometime English - Daybreak for one. Aldious has been around longer than most; the name is derived from "Ultimate Melodious" (metal). Great talents all around. Right now they don't have an OFFICIAL vocalist, but Maki Oyama has been guesting lately and she is a powerhouse clean metal vocalist. Scandal I would differ on being metal. More like a fun rock girl band. Which is not a bad thing. Lemme add one. Japanese rock and metal has some unique genres. One is "visual kei" (look it up). They include fluid genre hopping and blending, and usually crossdressing (don't assume their personal preferences from that, it's stagecraft). "Exist-Trace" has been going for about 20 years, is all female, but 4 out of 5 wear "masculine" type outfits, while lead songwriter and rhythm guitarist Miko is the feminine one usually in a dress. Bassist Naoto goes for Bizarre and often a zombie/undead look... Lead vocalist Jyou delivers usually strong, often strident sound with considerable emotion. Can you tell I'm impressed?
You might both like NEMOPHILA / 鬼灯 [Official Music Video] (translates as Hozuki, meaning the Chinese/Japanese lantern plant), it's still heavy but is dialled back a bit on the vocals.
Nice! I love 《dissension》. the harsh vocals part, maybe you don't like it because some effects were added in the studio, but the live performance sounds much better than the studio, anyway I recommend 《adabana》 as the next song🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
when I see the young women playing there, I wonder what their parents put in their tea :) You can hardly believe it, the singer not so long ago, become a mother and the drummer has 2 children.
I hope you do do more Nemophila. They have a ton of great songs with no screaming too. I'm usually not a fan of the screaming either but I've grown to like it when Mayu does it at least :) Check out Raitei, Life or Sorai
I can understand not liking screams and growls in general. Not everyone's thing. I'm surprised you're rocking a JINGER t-shirt, and have issues with Mayu's vocals though. Mayu is hands down my favorite harsh vocalist, and her raspy cleans are even better (IMO).
Jinjer is the first band that I listened to and liked the growls. I have not heard all of their stuff, but from what we listened to Pisces, Vortex, and I speak astronomy are what I have added to my playlist. I am slowly getting there, but not all of it is for me. Thanks! :)
This is one of the heavier ones from them, but they do have a few that are too much angry banshee vocals for those that are not into that. For pure contrast you could do the recent live video on their channel "Now I here" which is at the other end of the heaviness scale for them.
I bet you haven't watch the making of this MV... watch this and you will see how playful each of the members during the shooting of this MV. It is hard to believe these all girlish ladies able to play such as hard core music like Dissension. th-cam.com/video/TLryxytS0e8/w-d-xo.html
NEMO HAS MORE THAN JUST METAL MUSIC. I BELIEVE IT IS IMPORTANT TO AVOID THE "P" WORD WHEN TALKING ABOUT MUSIC. YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND MORE I THINK IF YOU SAW SOME OF THE TRULY SADISTIC JMETAL HATER-REACTORS OUT THERE. THERE ARE SADISTIC RACIST/MISOGYNIST SO CALLED "REACTORS" OUT THERE THAT USE THE "P" WORD SO HORRIBLY THAT THEY HAVE RUINED THE INNOCENCE OF THE "P" WORD, IMO.
Here's a suggestion for the Mrs. Li-sa-X " Looking up to you" It features Hazuki from Nemo. And is softer + more technical. Li-sa-X is a child prodigy and only 17 at the time of her video.
Nemophila is probably my favorite metal band right now. I would highly suggest checking out a few more of their songs: Adabana, Oiran (live at Naon Yaon), Raitei, and my personal favorite, Hozuki.

Nemophila's recordings do not remotely prepare you for how hard they hit live! I saw them on their recent US tour and am still recovering... 🤘🥴
Hell Yeah! SGBC supported them from coast to coast!
Jinjer and Nemophila are hands down my 2 favorite bands, totally different and both awesome. Nemophila is THUNDEROUS live and ooze charisma.
maybe you need to hear "Raitei", you will love it. One of the fewer with no screaming, high-pitched whistle fry tone. Mayu uses her singing voice, and in that particular song...guitar playing is way better and more sophisticated))) so, good luck learning how to play it)))
Have her try "Monsters". Doesnt have growls but still one of my favorites.
Nemophila- Hypnosis. It's another one of my favourites! Please give it a try 😊
I agree - Hypnosis is a fantastic song.
"Screaming is not my thing" she says with a Jinjer t-shirt on 😂😅😂
You should definitely check out their latest live video for the song, Now I Here. I think you’ll both dig that. More of a ballad with super clean sounds and some great vibrato in Mayu’s vocals. Beautiful song.
I'd recommend to react to the official live video of Dissension too. They are amazing 👏🏻

Love this song! I appreciate honest reactions and thank you for it!

Nice to see a reactor/reactors doing Nemophila - They deserve the publicity
I think Nemophila "MONSTERS" will be appealing as more rock than metal (no screaming)
try saki{nemophila guitarist} brightness solo track immense talent

NEMOPHILA cover songs Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, KISS, AC/DC, Skid Row, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters...
Saiseiga "Jumble" th-cam.com/video/2RhYV7adc7U/w-d-xo.html
Saiseiga's vocalist is one of the best I have ever heard.
Saiseiga is supercool :)
Yes, J-Metal is the new Metal - and it is female!
Lovebites, Nemophila, Band-Maid, Bridear, Aldeous, Scandal, Asterism + so many more
I like all of those.

@@jamesredman1263 Yep, agree 100% and I add Rie a.k.a. Suzaku, Wagakki Band, Yosei Teikoku, Marys Blood, Doll$boxx….now your turn again :-)
Just saw them live and they blew the roof off.
You might both like NEMOPHILA / 鬼灯 [Official Music Video] (translates as Hozuki, meaning the Chinese/Japanese lantern plant), it's still heavy but is dialled back a bit on the vocals.

Many of us just find harsh vocals childish and cringy.
@@powbobs and many of us like harsh vocals, it depends if you are a fan of extreme metal,it's all personal preference🙂

I didn’t say you didn’t.
"NEMOPHILA" = 5-piece all female SUPERGROUP (Hard/Heavy). World-class drum/bass duo; Twin shredders; True front person (clean & scream).
