Gman can be in many places at once in different universes. he is a reality bender and time warper. he can be everywhere and nowhere

@@c.l.u ok thx, and also may i ask why g-man needs other people to do stuff for him ?, he seems somewhat omnipotent, i mean he is very powerfull and yet he needs to ask simple human to do stuff for him
@@miloddvoranak8900 whilst there’s no 100% definitive answer, the reason behind him needing humans like Gordon and Alyx could either be the wishes of his employers or due to the fact that they are exceptional. Plus, it is proven that G-Man is not omnipotent as the vortigaunts manage to interfere with his containment of Freeman in the second game
really love the visuals and subtle movements, super cool
Absolutely love the lighting and camerawork in this, I wish there was a bit more of a coherent "story", but as a mood piece it's really excellent, great choice of music too.

First of all, excellent work as always. I'm a bit elevated atm, so I may be reading too much into this. However, I see these events as pre-nudges almost...ones that would lead the Combine to him, to be captured and subsequently rescued by Alyx. The only question that comes to mind is...why? Why did he need to be captured? Why couldn't he have sought out Alyx himself? Maybe due to restrictions placed on him by his employers? Anyway, don't mind me. Great work!
EDIT: Just had an immediate after thought. Maybe he needed to see that Alyx could be who he needed her to be?

He had to separate her from all outside allies; her father, the rest of the resistance, and most importantly, the Vortigaunts.
Thus, getting the Combine to build a vault to contain HIM would be the best way to get an area that the Vortigaunts could not access.
It's simple. Gordon is unable or unwilling to do what Gman wants so he wants a replacement: Alyx

Stunning visuals, if only TH-cam wouldn't compress the oblivion out of the videos we creators make... The music choice tho, it does the whole animation injustice since it doesn't fit with the established soundtracks of Half Life, where most of the time there's coldness, mystery in the form of misaligned loops and notes.
Just put on the HL:A Vault OST (specifically the Soundtrack Mix by Борис) and see what difference it just makes! It takes a bit of mixing to get the right vibe, but now it's the version I'll remember. Alienish, sporadic, cold, changes pace left and right, feels huge as to the correlation of your understanding about anything about this huge universe...
I'd actually argue that the non-fittingness of the music is actually a positive. To me it gave this a very unique feeling, and made it stand out more than it would've had the creator simply used music we've already seen used.
Agreed with the music, was off putting about it.
