Loving your content. I’m just starting to organize my digital planners and planning to sell them on Etsy as well. You have given me lots of ideas, though, so now I’m planning to sell coloring books too. Thank you. Praying for your success.
Thank you so much for keeping this simple and easy to understand how to do. Just found your channel. Looking forward to more great videos. Truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Well done. I like that you make it simple and easy to upload. ‘Question’… For coloring books they recommend to have backside blank due to bleed through from gel and other coloring pens as Amazon’s paper seems to be too thin for anything but pencil crayons. Should a note/warning be put in the book somewhere to cut down on the bad reviews? Ty
You could do that if you want and see if it helps. Another option would be adding it as a feature of the product in the description..."one sided pages to prevent marker bleed through" or something like that.
I don't know if you can thicken the outlines in Canva. I'm not aware of any way to do that. But you could draw in Procreate or a similar program and upload to Canva from there.
If your selling these coloring pages shouldn’t you stick to Canva free elements since the license says you can’t use pro elements in pdfs or digital products you plan to sell? I’ve been making coloring pages in Canva with free elements and creative fabrica elements because I’m concerned about the licensing but it’s a bit confusing if I’m being honest. Also this is an awesome video I never thought to use the search term outlines! Super helpful
Canva's terms are not super easy to understand and many people have emailed them and received different answers from different reps. It's my understanding that you can sell it as long as you're making a unique design...not just using one graphic as your item to sell. That's also why you want to flatten your PDF. If you don't, the buyer can upload the file into a program and use individual elements in their own projects which is like you selling those individual elements that don't belong to you. I feel like this article explains it pretty well canva.com/licensing-explained/
@@passivelyeverafter thank you so much!!! I’m going to do that then because I want to make the mandala coloring pages with cute and inspiring quotes :)
@@passivelyeverafter I read the Canva licence and number 5 on Prohibited use of Free and Pro talks about standalone displays used on websites, tshirts, mugs, etc.for selling. I'm not sure if this means not for online commercial use?
I have! I sell the most in my Shopify store that's connected to my blog. As long as you do your keyword research to find those very specific niches for your books, you can definitely have success on Etsy and Amazon too. The video that's coming out today shows how to do that for Amazon and I'll be doing one for Etsy shortly.
@@passivelyeverafterYou are so kind Are these only digital or are they printable. We once opened a shopify shop, but the fees are high and because for a whole year or we kept paying for the store without making any sale yet.I don't know yet how to go about starting again
They're printable. I made the same mistake with Shopify my first year. I didn't have any means of driving traffic to my store and ended up paying the $30 every month with no sales. I started making printables that fit in with my blog content after that so I would have a source of traffic to my store and everything changed. If you don't have traffic, Etsy or Amazon are the way to go at least to get started.
I love the old adage of “Price - Service - Quality ….(choose two)” - your comments are golden !!! Thanks for posting !!!
Very helpful. Thanks.
Another great tutorial. Thats what i was trying to figure how coloring pages done out.❤🎉

Hi just to add wen you save after flatten PDF, you should save as CMYK.... Thanks for your video x
For selling on Amazon KDP, yes, CMYK, but for selling it as a printable you would want to save in RGB.

Can I draw my own coloring books images and scan them and upload to Canva and then make the outlines have a bigger stroke?
