Is this something you actually do using your KDP account??? Or are you waiting it out for KDP to give an official statement regarding AI generated books?
If you have never used mid journey before then I would recommend starting out with the most basic plan first. However if you have and are confident that you will be using it extensively then the higher priced plans may make sense.
Can we just publish a book under our personal name, without any publishing company? or would it be best to start a company and create the books under that name?

Hi, unfortunately, they have gotten rid of the free version, so you do have to pay to use Canva now (they have various plans, but lowest I believe is $10/ month). Hope this helps!
If this is your first time publishing definitely check out my other video here: th-cam.com/video/xfzQwBb8m9U/w-d-xo.html I don’t go into details regarding Amazon kdp account sign up but pretty much everything else after that including some discussion on pricing. Also make sure you price above the fees Amazon charges so you have a positive margin at all times :)
Thanks for the walk through. Very helpful. I'm wondering what your marketing strategy is for selling your coloring books? I have a few journals up, but they've gotten no bites even with amazon ads.
It depends if you want to spend on ads. The other way is to add A+ content which could give you a competitive advantage as it will allow you to show case your book better. Feel free to check out my video on A+ content :)

Hi Ivy, I have a quick question . Is it safe to use the images generated from Midjourney for commercial purposes like selling my coloring books on Amazon , will my account be banned for not subscribing to the pro version (if there's) ? Thanks .
Hi, to answer your question: you can not use the free version of midjourney for commercial purposes, only for personal use. You must take a subscription, for example, the lowest plan for 10 bucks per month or 8 bucks per month (yearly billed)
@@worldballtv3748 no, the free version is only for personal use. And at this moment, the free version is deactivated from midjourney self. because it was abused by a flood of users. you can only choose the paid versions.
@@akikocht4116 Thanks ... But I guess my question is, if you can recommend any other website that I can use it's free version for commercial purposes ?
@@worldballtv3748 if you’re truly concerned about doing this ethically, you should know every single one of these ai image generators runs on stolen artwork. None of the artists whose work was fed into them gave permission for their work to be used in this manner, and they don’t receive any compensation for it. AI art can’t be copyrighted because it’s just a machine copying parts of existing artwork, not a novel human creation. The companies selling “commercial licenses” are exploiting you and the artists they stole from. They have no more rights to those images than you do so selling “commercial rights” they don’t even own is a scam. If you want images to use for commercial purposes without paying for it, there are some free stock sites online and there are many artists who offer free stock on their sites or other art galleries. Just make sure you read the usage terms carefully as there may be different rules for different images (and make sure the stock sites are legit). You can also learn to create the art you need yourself! It takes time and effort, but it’s way more fun and fulfilling, and you’ll find artists are very welcoming and generous to people who want to learn the craft, offering all kinds of free tutorials and advice all over the internet.
Thanks for this tutorial! I'm wondering if there are other image enlarger tools that might be cheaper than $9/month? Also, how do you make sure your first coloring image is on the right side/spread of the book and the blanks are on the left/behind them...? I'm assuming like most books when you open it, there's the initial page that is blank and then the next page is maybe the copyright page/book info and whatnot and then the coloring book begins... Not sure how to create that correctly!? Thanks!
Thanks for your kind comment! Regarding your question on pages, Amazon KDP prints the first page you have as the first page in the book so there are no random blank pages in the front. Copyright pages will only be there in the front if you add them yourself. So basically the first page you have in canva will be the first page ppl see when they flip open your book :). Unfortunately I’m not familiar with other image enlargers as that’s the one I use mainly. However, might be worthwhile to see if you can find something that is cheaper/ with more free images via google, etc. Hope this helps!
@@ivyhang5084 that makes sense, thank you! Last question... how do we know Midjourney's graphics are free for commercial use? I really enjoy your videos. They are quick and to the point!
@@JessicaNiles Hey, I was watching Ivy's other videos & she mentioned in one that images generated by Midjourney in the free trial are not commercially usable. If you get the subscription, starting from $8, I think, can you use them commercially.
The problem is and like many other things to sell this market appears to be over saturated, so many people doing similar books. You need too stand and that's difficult.
There is both a free and paid version - however if you plan on using your images for commercial purposes then you will need to have a paid version of the account.
I haven’t tried doing this in illustrator but good to know! As mentioned there are many options to get this done and I am just showing one of the many ways :)
Unpaid account images cannot be used for commercial purposes so if you are planning to sell the images as part of a product you’ll need to get the paid account. Hope this helps!

I personally have the pro account but I do believe you should be able to use the background remover in canva even with the free version.
Hi, thanks for this very clear video. I have a question: on the cover where you put the preview of some images and inserted the description. Can you consider adding your logo or a URL link to other books?
Thanks for your kind comment and apologies for my delayed response. YES! You can certainly add a logo or link to other books if you wish on the back cover or even on the inside pages. :)
@@ivyhang5084tnx a lot for your answer.
Great info, Ivy, thanks!

You have the best and most informative videos that are so easy to follow. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your very kind words! - so glad you enjoy my videos :)
Is this something you actually do using your KDP account??? Or are you waiting it out for KDP to give an official statement regarding AI generated books?
Well, they allow it, AI had commercial-use rights, there are options to make the seeds use commercial-use/public domain/your own art/photos. Hehe.
Great tutorial, Ivy!
Thanks!
Thank you!
Which plan for MidJourney should start with , if I am planning for full time making this? Thx great tutorial
If you have never used mid journey before then I would recommend starting out with the most basic plan first. However if you have and are confident that you will be using it extensively then the higher priced plans may make sense.
Can we just publish a book under our personal name, without any publishing company? or would it be best to start a company and create the books under that name?
You can certainly just start even with a pen name :)
@@ivyhang5084 That's good to know. I was assuming there would be legal aspects to publishing a book, but maybe not with "digitally uploaded books". So a made-up name is fine? Unicorn Man. Dreamscape Dude (not being serious), etc....
Do we upload the interior of the book and the cover /back of the book separately
Yes that's correct :) On KDP you would upload the 2 files separately as part of the book upload process. Hope this helps!

Welcome Ivy.
I have watched many videos and have published books on Amazon KDP as well, but this is the best videos I have seen you make. I wish you success
I want a video from you in which you talk about the best ways how to but categories to books, because it is the most overpowering thing when I publish books
if there way can i connect with you to can explain more.

Thank you for your kind words and will look to publish more videos on kdp to cover the various topics suggested :)
Hi Ivy, Thank you so much for your great videos. To use Midjourney, do I need to pay for a subscription? Thx!
Hi, unfortunately, they have gotten rid of the free version, so you do have to pay to use Canva now (they have various plans, but lowest I believe is $10/ month). Hope this helps!
Hi, I'm new to this kind of thing. How do you get to the Midjourney Bot? 🤔
Wait, nevermind. I found the link. SUPER sorry!
No worries glad you figured it out - all the best! :)
Please does this count as AI generated?
Yes, this would be ai generated/ ai assisted
Thanks for video , can pl get a good micro phone ?
Thanks for watching the video - and yes, hoping to invest in one soon :)
Hi, Did you already explain how to sign up with Amazon KDP and also how to price coloring book..thank you.
If this is your first time publishing definitely check out my other video here: th-cam.com/video/xfzQwBb8m9U/w-d-xo.html I don’t go into details regarding Amazon kdp account sign up but pretty much everything else after that including some discussion on pricing. For pricing my general recommendation is to price similar to similar books (or slightly cheaper when you don’t have as many reviews yet). Also make sure you price above the fees Amazon charges so you have a positive margin at all times :)
Which plan do you use for mid journey is the basic plan good enough
I’m currently using the basic plan and find that it is diffident so far. :)
Can you create a prompt to have a coloring page - same image of the cover but in black outline and looks like a coloring page?
Yes but I would recommend uploading the cover to midjourney and then using that image link as part of the prompt to create the colouring page. You can check out my video here will will give more details on reference images and seed :)

How to Use with Bluewillow AI or Leonardo AI
Please.....
Thanks for the question - Will add that to my list of videos to eventually create :)
Awesome content, love you mam.. thanks waiting new video...
Most welcome 😊
Question - did you ever upload your coloring books to kindle ebook? And if so did you leave the blank pages or did you delete them?
Unfortunately, I haven't tried uploading coloring books to kindle ebook, I've only done coloring books in the paperback format.
Does this count as AI generated?
Yes this would be ai generated / ai assisted
Great Video!
Thanks!
I would love to test Midjourney but everyt time I do, it tells me due to high demand they can't do free ones and I kinda hesitate to pay if I don't know if it works for me
Definitely try again during off peak hours and hopefully you will e able to get in and try it out :)
Try blue willow. I like midjourney a lot so I paid 10 dollars a month. It’s hard to get the free accounts because people kept scamming and making fake accounts to override the free limit.
@@julisa3100 thanks for the tip, I'll try that out. For what I'll probably use it, it won't make much sense to pay $10 but should i start using it more, it might make sense then, or I'll be happy with blue willow 🙂

What IA tool you will recomend for colring old black white photos which are done 50 years ago i want to color them and make them more natural and bigger
In this video u had your microphone setting too loud your speaking contain lot of noises .

Thanks for your comment! I'm not familiar with any AI apps specifically for this purpose, however, I know on Fiverr (go.fiverr.com/visit/?bta=996033&brand=fiverrcpa) you would be able to find a lot of freelancers that could do that for you. I tried searching for "old photo restoration" and a bunch of options showed up. Hope this helps! And appreciate your feedback on the microphone - i agree it could definitely have been better for this video! :)

I have question for you
This book with bear when you was making cover on left panel u used pencil for color matching .Seems Canva is changed i dont see this pencil now
I am making different story with bear 20 pages .Color book
If you go to the top you should see a colorful square (for background color). Click on that and you will see a number of colors to choose from. At the top left of those options you should see a colorful square again with a “+” sign. If you click on that you will find the pencil to match colors. Hope this works for you.
another awesome video. Another creator suggested using an aspect ratio of 9:16 for the coloring page, whereas you suggest 17:22, both for the same size book. Can there be more than one ar for coloring pages for an 8.5 x 11 book? I am very new to all of this. thank you.
8.5 x 2=17 ; 11 x 2 = 22
@@Aklime88 ah of course. how foolish of me! thank you. I hadn't thought of it that way.

How good is the quality of the paper on amazon? Some Books I ordered are not that great
Hi Ivy, I have a quick question .
Is it safe to use the images generated from Midjourney for commercial purposes like selling my coloring books on Amazon , will my account be banned for not subscribing to the pro version (if there's) ?
Thanks .
Hi,
to answer your question: you can not use the free version of midjourney for commercial purposes, only for personal use. You must take a subscription, for example, the lowest plan for 10 bucks per month or 8 bucks per month (yearly billed)
@@akikocht4116 Okay , Thanks .
Please, can you recommend anyone that I can use it's free version for commercial purposes.

@@JessicaNiles Hey, I was watching Ivy's other videos & she mentioned in one that images generated by Midjourney in the free trial are not commercially usable. If you get the subscription, starting from $8, I think, can you use them commercially.

are your video scripts also using chat gpt
haha no my video scripts are not because I'm way too picky about how I script and edit my videos :)
mid journey is useless is there another one i can use?
What makes it useless? It is a very powerful tool. You’re most likely encountering a user error
The problem is and like many other things to sell this market appears to be over saturated, so many people doing similar books. You need too stand and that's difficult.
While certain niches are saturated, there are definitely still a lot of untapped niches - key is to do product research :)
AMAZING!!!
