So happy to see you posting again. Seems like the hobby has lost a little steam over the last few years despite blaster offerings being better than ever at retailers! Any suggestions for Nerf leagues up in Ft Wayne?
My friend, Will, an admin of Naptown Nerf Club has run some games up there on occasion, but not sure if he's done any this year. I would definitely follow the Naptown Nerf Club group on Facebook as a lot of other clubs in the area, post their events on there as well. Michiana also has a Nerf club, but don't know how far that is from you.
Stryfe X is back on Amazon, presently. I feel it, or the upcoming Maxim Pro may be a better value if you're looking at ~160fps, or the venom pro at ~130fps.
The premium feel makes this a competitive pro blaster compared to dart zone, especially for the price. Theirs are a little cheaper feeling but not cheap perse. Runs flawlessly too, or at least mine does.
Thanks for the review, I agree the Nerf Pro angled magazines are much nicer that the Worker ones that I have, hopefully spares aren't too expensive. I'm going to order a adjustable D ring rifle sling for my Sender, I don't trust the stocks ability to stay put. I hope 16" of strap is enough to get the job done. Also, my flywheels are appear to be about 1mm out of alignment that may be what is causing the accuracy issues with the blaster. I'm looking forward to your mod video on the Sender, something needs to be done to quite it down a bit.
Finally someone show it talon ( slanted) compatible ❤❤❤ That rev sound pretty nostalgia, remembered my Rayven blaster with 3.7v battery 🔋 🔋 🔋 That nerf mag look awesome 💯😎
Im much more excited about the Dart Zone offering Venom, and their release of the Maxim in the Adventure Force line Maxim Pro is going to be a much better 175 fps short dart flywheel blaster...basically a better Pro Stryfe
Not being critical but I wish more reviewers would try Coolooks along with dummy batteries from OODs for those that don't want to rewire for a lipo battery.
Batteries, like that are really not meant to be used in blasters like this. They're mainly used for lights and lasers things like that. Lipo's are much safer for high discharge applications.
I have to open it up to give it guess, but it does look pretty tight. I'm sure that the Banded Blaster boys will be getting their hands on one soon if they haven't already.
Out of curiosity, would the blaster still work if you replaced some of the batteries with dummies like the DZP MK3 does? I said I wasn't going to get any half-length only blasters if I couldn't use them in kid-friendly battles, but as a big Stargate fan, the Sender being a bullpup definitely has me tempted.
Nice review. But... "Has mod potential"?!?!? That's the best Nerf can do these days? Honestly, if one needs to gut all the innards since it's sub par compared to its dart zone / adventure force competition sold right next to it, the only reason to get it is for the shell design. Meh.

One thing i would too have loved to see was Rapid fire, how fast can you shoot it without it jamming or stopping.
Definitely getting this one. Love the design and nerf is finally stepping it up. Have the torrent waiting at home when im off work today.
Torrent review inbound.

I did see that also today.

Yeah, mag pulls would be handy given the tight fit in the mag well.
Would love to see a mod review.
Mod guide would be great
Good, balanced review. Kudos, sir
Thanks for watching

I would LOVE for you to do a mod guide on this thing, AND the Torrent if you plan to get one.
Do the darts whirly bird sometimes? Walcom said in his review that his flywheels were miss-aligned out of the box.
I couldn't tell that the flywheels were misaligned on mine, but darts were definitely coming out sideways if you look closely during the range test.
Thanks for this review
awesome review!!! i wonder if there's a better scale out there that can weigh smaller items more accurately?

Reminds me of the Nerf Halo blaster
Would be cool to see an Slender and styfe x integration.
Have you ran the nerf type darts through your FDL-3 yet?
would be an interesting experiment!!
More testing of the Nerf pro darts coming soon.
From the internal photo the cage looks very squished. Do you think this will be able to fit larger cages in there?
possible, might be too squished if adding wires
@@moddancerspartanyogi1398 you think theirs any hope of adding a banshee cage?

@@NaptownNerf can’t wait for the cage to come out

I haven't tested this. My guess is it would.
You wouldnt put and otic on it unless you got a stick for it, i would put a laser on it
Seems like you get more for your money with the DZ venom pro. 🤔. And...it's quieter.
Looking forward to reviewing the Venom soon.
@@NaptownNerf I love it. It's the poor man's nightingale 😄
Witch angled Talon mag, the regular or the newer slim profile
Regular. The Nightingale mags are used in the Venom Pro, while the Torrent and the Sender both use standard angled talons.

1 magazine is so stupid. Defeats the whole purpose of having mags.
I mean you're not wrong, but they do sell mags separately and angle talons are compatible, so could be worse.
