I love how these dudes can somewhat express their love for Christ as making a record for God and symbolizing the sunflower as a plant that we all need to grow spiritually and be open minded.
Finally, a band apart from For Today and August Burns Red that isn't terrified to say the name of Jesus so openly. This band just gets better and better.
look into Sleeping Giant. that's a really good, strong band and Tommy has done podcasts and spoke at churches and all that good stuff. he loves to talk and here's always got something good to say. their music is very strong though. i love For Today, but Sleeping Giant is so much better. another good one is Mouth of the South/ Rival Choir. they're pretty great too Mouth of the South albums really get me in my feels. epilogue is one of my favorites. but yeah, they're good as well
DeathAdmin there are so many christian metal bands that do the same. they just arent as popular as these bands. you can check out Wolves at the gate, phinehas, impending doom, Fit for a king.
The Night God Slept is one of the most emotionally impactful (to me) records I've ever listened to. Congrats to Native Blood for being the first song whose chorus brought a tear to my eye. I'm almost two years late to this interview but thanks for it anyway!
I still remember the first time seeing Silent Planet when they played in one of the Residence Halls at my school...actually, Garrett was the reason why I decided to go to my school...Its insane to see Silent Planet grow since literally Day 1, and I love all of these dudes
Thanks for not being a nervous boring question interviewer. You seem to think out your questions well and not annoy the bands but actually care about their answers and do your homework on them before you interview. Kudos to you man. You have a new subscriber.
My love for this band is incredible. I can't wait to see them live and hopefully meet the members. Garret is such an inspirational person. All of them are.
I listen to a podcast hosted by Matt and Toby from the band Emery called BadChristian and they've made fun of terrible interview questions a few times when they have musicians as guests on their show. That certainly isn't the case here. Seriously, this is some good work. Just subscribed.
Something i always say about music in my church , you can't be a christian band , you need to be a christian in a band , thats totally diferent ! Great job guys , as worship leader in my church i'm happy to see this ! God bless all !!!
Just FYI--I'm listening on headphones and can only hear out of the left ear (only during the interviewing part, though...). When the music is playing I can hear through both ears. I double checked on other videos and can hear through both ears, so my headphones aren't broken haha. Great interview btw!
Hey man I just wanted to say you're an awesome interviewer! You actually do your research, and ask great questions time after time :) If you ever get a chance will you please interview Levi The Poet?
my old band was supposed to play on the silent planet tour date with the ongoing concept and lionfight in salt lake and silent planet didn't come because garret was living in his car at the time and didn't want it to get towed at home. I was very sad

I think you'd would love Life In Your Way as well.
I would prefer if they said it less, but they are still good. If it was For Today levels I probably wouldn't listen to them.
There's also I Am Terrified. They're broken up now, but wow they were awesome and 300 percent unashamed.

You never really expect an interview with a band to be so in depth. Psyched to see one of my top bands interviewed so thoroughly. Great work!
I really try to care about a band before I interview them. I'm glad it shows and that you can appreciate it :)
