I used to really not like birds very much before I started watching Animal Wonders. I thought they were just to loud (I have issues with my ears) and have had birds bite me before. But after watching the animals, like the pigeons, doves, and macaws, I slowly started to realize that even if I would never own a bird, that they are still pretty awesome and we can learn a lot from them! Pigeons are now one of my favorite bird species! I never knew until your recent video on them that they were domesticated! Thank you for all you do, and stay safe Jessi! You and your kids are lovely ♥

I love watching animals enjoying their gifts. My dog is a blue merle border collie and is very hard on toys. I recently got him some 'indestructible' toys similar to Kongs but in animal shapes and he LOVES them!

I was waiting the whole time for Jess to ask her kids "who do you think this is for"? And for them to reply "HUMANS!" and it be a toy for human children xD

Jessi, when you were handing your kids the hay, it reminded me of the song by Neil Young with the lyrics, "hey hey, my my, rock and roll will never die. The song is on his Rust Never Sleeps album. I know it's different wording then with hay, but my brain allowed me to remember Neil's song! By the way, I'm going to give you a donation for your critters.
I get the feeling that Serenity has a favorite animal
This was wonderful, no stress on the focusing issues. Couple of those packages Serenity lifted looked heavier than her, goodness!
I love those grass mats for my parrot cage. They're great for foraging, and they make clean up easy. I wash them with soapy dish water and a scrub brush, rinse thoroughly, then put them in the oven at 200°F to dry for about 20 minutes.
Lovely video. I think jessi is the only adult I know that seems she would be more excited than the kids opening parcels.

Hey Jessi and family. I wanted to say I thought the video was great - I was most excited to see the critters getting their gifts, that was fun. But my mom eye noticed something. your son was so patient and tolerant while you worked with your younger one.
I have a 5 and an almost 2. jealousy is top of my mind because my youngest can feel left out even when he is the center of attention. it’s difficult to be focusing on one and that same one day to you they feel left out. or have the acting out happen. I’m guessing yours is excellently behaved, or maybe by 8 the tensions calm? either way- i wanted to say Good job big kid! you are special and you are appreciated. you did wonderfully reading and lifting heavy boxes! I’m sure your family is soo proud of how you’ve grown as a boy. And for little one, you did so well waiting for permission and asking politely before digging in head first! that takes skill! great job both of you!! and to mom too (and dad begins the camera?) for keeping patience even when feeling the stress of how long videos are and editing concerns. thank you for posting! i didn’t notice a focus issue, and it was fun to watch the critters play (kids and family included! lol)

Automatically generated captions are not the same. I am asking for Complexly to treat the Animal Wonders videos the same as all of their other videos and add reliably usable captions. I use captions wherever they are available, so you do not need to tell me where to find them. Do you really think I didn’t check if they had added captions before asking?

To test them, try to see how accurate they are when transcribing what Jacob read (I have no idea what the notes he read said, so I cannot verify them myself).
@@ragnkja You can add your own captions. This is different from the auto captions. If someone wants captions in a specific language, they can caption the videos themselves as well. It'd be great if Complexly at least did the English ones but that doesn't mean there's no option to add better captions than the auto-generated ones.

Adding captions is a lot easier if you are a native speaker and don’t have any hearing or audio processing issues. The reason I ask for captions is that I benefit so much from them where they are available, and I know I’m not alone in that.

Ack, you are right , Loulou is a halfmoon conure. I missed that in my review before publishing the video. Maia, our editor, is still learning the animals and it's my job to catch those things, so my bad!

My dog has a toy pretty similar to the one at 8:55. Unfortunately, he has pretty much completely figured it out, so it's gone from a 30 minute activity to a 5 minute one (it took maybe 5 tries for him to get his time down, even as I increased the difficulty each time). I'd be curious to see how quickly a macaw masters that. It's not as though it's useless one they figure it out, my dog still has fun for the 5 minutes he's playing with it, it's just not as useful for me. I used to be able to give it to him to distract him for a while when something was happening that he liked to bark at (like our yard getting mowed), but now he finishes it really fast and goes back to barking, or completely loses interest because it's not much of a challenge for him.
Try extending the play time by adding non food items as well (or course this isn't safe if your dog will ingest non food items). For macaws I can put little balled up pieces of paper, wood beads and chunks, grass, leaves, flowers.
@@animalwondersmontana I could probably try paper, since it wouldn't be as big of a problem if he did wind up eating it (not that I wouldn't watch him carefully, but he could still eat a non-food item before I could stop him). Thanks for the tip.
