My Dad took me to SummerSlam at Wembley. I remember at one point, seeing on the screen, Hitman with Bulldog in like a rear naked chokehold and spoke into his ear. My Dad pointed this out on the night and now I look back knowing exactly why.
Simon is amazing. Shoutout to the editors of this video as well and WhatCulture Wrestling.
“Bret, I’m Fooked”
😂😂😂😂😂
Kevin Nash had a crazy Summer of 92
1992, the year I started watching the WWF (and wrestling in general), as it was the year Portuguese TV started airing _Wrestling Challenge_ weekly.
Nice
The year I was put on the earth.
Do a retro ups and downs on Summerslam from this year, Simon.
I'd heard that about the Bulldog / Bret match. Absolutley amazing work on Bret's part to end up carrying the match.
Pretty sure the reason Flair could bring the WCW belt to WWE is because he PARTIALLY OWNED THE BELT as he had paid for it apparently.
They hadn't paid back his deposit, Herd paid no attention to that fact.
Dont forget about Global was on fire with The Patriot, Eddie Gilbert's booking and the Lightning (X Pac) Kid and Jerry Lynn putting on good matches that didnt need 10K high spots in every match.
Really enjoy these 90 videos. Love that nostalgia
My teen years was Sega Genesis, Rap Music, WWF, WCW and Fox TV
2:15 I also think Piper was the first time in WWF history that one person challenged for two championships on the same show.
Meanwhile in WCW in 1992, Cowboy Bill Watts was president & head booker & implemented some absolutely crazy rules. One such rule was if someone did a move off the top rope, they were automatically DQ'd & fined $1500. The fine would only increase if it was done again. He also ordered the padding outside the ring to be removed (leaving only concrete or wood as padding) to discourage moves from being done outside the ring. Then when it came to things outside of matches, he banned heels & babyfaces from travelling together & sharing locker rooms mainly because he wanted to keep kayfabe alive. He also banned family members of talent from getting free tickets. Not surprisingly, he wasn't well liked by the talent in the back & by 1993 rolled around, he was out as president.
I was at Summerslam in 1992. It was absolutely epic!!
Simon. When will there be more Retro ups&downs?
Simon miller narrating- Golden UP
I remember hearing the bulldog and Neidhart like basically vanished they basically couldn't find Davey anywhere they found him that day Wembley
A wild slapnuts appears
Lugar couldn't contractually wrestle because of a no compete from WCW. The WBF was not wrestling so it didn't breach the agreement.
the narration is brutal
The UK was WWE's saviour in those dark days of 1992-95
Even the ones i already knew were entertaining because of Simon
cant believe i was 0 years old when these happened
Finally a Simon Miller list after so many days.
The last year of the Golden Era.
Sid was badass!
Hilarious that Sid didn’t see himself as good guy material, since I’m sure Sid Eudy is a nicer guy than Terry Bollea.
Good to know
The year I was born :)
Crank up "Smells Like Nirvana" by "Weird" Al Yankovic!
What's 1992 was the first full year that I've watched professional wrestling
I thought bulldog was suppose to fight Mr Perfect and Hart vs Michael's
Perfect was out of action and was managing Ric Flair and commentating Superstars until Survivor Series when he had to replace the fired Warrior as Savage's tag partner on short notice...
Is retro ups and downs canceled?
7:31 Sexy Sid Justice. He's pointing at us and saying, "I'm humongous.. for you."
Will we get Retro Ups and Downs for the Royal Rumble 92? Or has Retro Ups and Downs died again? 😞
1992 also saw the Undertaker take his first clean loss, on camera anyway... to a jobber.
Piper was also the first and (as far as I can recall) only wrestler to challenge for the IC title and the WWE Championship on the same night.
The Fans never really boo Sid even when he was a Horseman only time the Fans really went against Sid was when he was in WCW back in 99
🎉
The year I was born :)!$🤴
That 92 Hart-HBK match was actually not good at all.
Call me crazy
They never had good chemistry
None of their matches were good
Looks like whatculture is remaking the old Adam videos
