Every time they say they're adopting the dog at the end I'm like "YES!". Its always such great news.
I'm on the fence. On the one hand: great, this dog won't have to go through anymore upheaval. On the other: but this person won't foster another dog and there is a limited amount of fosters.

@@erikad0511 A soft transition would be best where the dog just stays more and more with the new family, but that's just possible if the family lives nearby. All in all I rather say "no, not again" when people foster fail because small heartbreak that's mended by amazing people that fulfill all the dog's needs is better than other dogs dying because they can't find a foster parent. So I always have a bad feeling in my belly when they foster fail in these videos. I'm scared for the other animals that live in the area :(

With an animal that damaged it is always great to see it adopted by the person who healed it.
This is the main reason why they are a man’s best friend, they are angels and all they ask for is to be loved

I know foster homes are really important and wonderful, but I think some dogs have been hurt too much to be moved on again - so I can’t deny being happy to see that you adopted her.👍
I thought the same thing..but , then from the other side I think not many people want to adopt dogs in a bad shape mentally and physically who need a lot of time and care...

Poor sweetie, why isn't there a "Terrified" category when the animal is so scared that you can't tell if they are aggressive or not? My Love & respect to all the rescuers, fosters and volunteers who do so much!
Yes, I wish more shelters would choose more accurate labels like 'defensive' or 'traumatised' or 'not-socialised' instead of 'aggressive'.
EXACTLY!!!! Far too many dogs are put down because shelters incorrectly label them as “aggressive” when generally they are just so afraid and traumatized!! Can you imagine being abused, neglected, hit by a car, etc.. all you know is pain. Then they put you in a very noisy shelter and think you should be ok. Not so! Thank goodness the better shelters recognize that and they take time with those sweet, innocent kiddos that need that extra care!

The most sad thing is that the poor baby is scared because of a traumatic experience which no one can even imagine.. I really hope that not even nightmares could hurt her again. ... Thank you 🙏💚
A lot of pups (and humans) have trauma from past experiences, but with love and understanding they can live a happy life.
I haven't been as happy as when she said she adopted her in a long time. I am so thankful to everyone who adopts and doesn't shop for their next family member. Pound pups are the best pups!!!

My family and I had adopted a German Shephard and named her Ozzie, the sweetest girl in the whole world. She had a terrible past and she would get beaten up by her past owners 😞. The first few days, she was very skittish... she would get scared of loud noises, hide under tables. and if we would raise our hand to grab something while she was close, she would bend down and close her eyes as if we were going to hit her. She eventually came out of her shell and became the cutest snuggle bug ☺. And now we spoil her with lots of hugs and kisses!
So glad you kept Eliza. She obviously loves you and your sweet black dog too. It was obvious that she wanted to please you, but just didn't have the emotional tools to do so.💗
Bless all the ppl who help animals in need , karma is real those disgusting owners will get what they deserve

Some neighbors moved and left their cat behind. My son brought him home. He decided to live in my room for now. Sweet boy, he didn't deserve to be abandoned. He is a little bitey, just some gentle teeth chomps, no marks left behind. He's much cleaner and happier after being brushed and fed and left to adjust.
Clearly she had gone through some very difficult times and was traumatized. When she finally realized that nobody was going to hurt her anymore, she began to forget about those difficult times. Thank God there's people like you in our world. Great job! 🌴😎🌴

I would be the same way. I tried to foster a puppy I found on the street. Had no intention of keeping him, just nurse him back to health and find a good home for him. Seven years later, he’s still with me. I love him!

I appreciate the honesty about how much work it is to help these dogs which will hopefully weed out the people that think it's going be easy and then get frustrated and give up - with the dog likely being euthanized. I hate that there are so many unwanted dogs that get euthanized. It's heartbreaking and we need strong laws that reduce breeding and selling.

Yay!! Love Foster Fail stories!! It's not just the foster that has devoted time energy and love into a relationship, but the dog who has to learn to trust again and usually, when that trust has been earned and Love finally recipricated,.....the foster finds a new home for the dog. I love to hear that the person who has 'EARNED' that trust and love from the abused animal will be able to have that relationship for the rest of his or her life.
They're both wonderful endings. A foster finding a new home for an animal often opens up space for them to foster another animal in need. I foster kittens, and I have fostered way more than I would have ever been able to keep. Other people can't foster, but can adopt! Some people do both like this lady. :)
What a lovely story!! One super point she made that was so important is that fostering is not easy, it has bad times and bad moments. Super patience is needed. Blessed are those that foster. They do have a special place in heaven. Maybe at St. Frances’ table?

Thank you to this beautiful lady for taking Honey home and saving her life. Being labelled aggressive I can't imagine she would've been put up for adoption. She could have been easily been euthanized because many shelters don't have the extra people, time or money to put into these dogs.

There is no love more potent than the love of a rescued animal for the person that saves her or him; it can change lives in ways unimaginable, transform everything in blissful love, and this is a priceless life experience all of us whould experience. Furthermore, dogs are the creatures that are closest to angels of all creatures in our world, for they can love unconditionally, and put us in a state of grace like no other living thing on Earth. A rescued dog can perform the work of a therapist in a much more effective, and efficient way.

I was hoping she was going to adopt that sweet girl. That dog opened up and put her trust into that lady which was amazing. I just couldn't imagine handing that pup over to someone else after gaining her love & trust.

Well done Annie, it shows what patience, love and kindness can do. It isn't easy taking on a rescue dog and I'm not sure I could foster, I would fail the whole time, I'd want to keep them all. I have my 3rd rescue Great Dane and he came to me with no training what so ever at 3 years of age. As you can imagine it was quite a challenge for the first month or so trying to socialise him and get him to walk properly on the leash. I've had him for 3 years now and he's just marvelous although the one thing I haven't been able to cure is his hatred of other dogs especially on the leash. Other than that he's an amazing dog, so loving and so funny. Like Eliza, he loves to tear tissue boxes to pieces or drag the laundry out the basket and drag it through the house. God bless you for adopting Eliza, I wish you all a long and happy life together. She's such a sweet sweet soul.x
When I see innocent angels like this lovely girl, once so broken inside & out, finally receive the kindness mercy & unconditional love they need & deserve & they become whole again & SO happy... I dont want the video to end. I want to see more of their joy. I want to watch as they realize more & more each day that they will NEVER go hungry again, will ALWAYS have a soft warm place to rest, that no one will EVER hurt them again, that they're finally safe & that they are & will continue to be SO LOVED, unconditionally, forever.
