Exactly. If the trill is to put the thing together, just buy the parts separately, I don't see the point of replacing some of the internal pieces from one to another.

It's honestly the most ideal layout we've ever had too. So easy to just roll the thumb around to reach the 4 buttons. That's not too say it's hard on a modern controller but it was better imo.

My issue is that he said he BUILT the custom controller as if he legit by hand made it, nothing wrong with calling it custom. Its just that he didn't build it himself, just swapped it.
Next upgrade idea is to change out the analogue sticks for snapback capacitors, change the membrane shoulder bumpers out for mouse click switches using a switch kit and get a octo-gate faceplate for that sweet GC stick feel when playing fighting games. If you're feeling really spicy then ig get a pcb with switches for the face buttons, but it's not really necessary since for some reason those membrane pads don't break/wear down as easily. Would be kinda hype icl Love the controller mod! Keep up the hard work 🫡🐐
You know what would make this controller even better? Print the top part of the case a little wider. Then harvest the joy-con attachment thing. That way you can clip it in for transport and charging. (:
I swapped out the grips and back plate of my controller with the ones from a Xenoblade shell kit from China. Gives it some color and makes it my own without having to worry about the fiddly internals.
