@TerraRangerGold Yeah, good mate, it's slowed down around here now, getting too hot and flies are atrocious.....now I get to sit back and watch you having fun. Keep em coming mate, great to watch.
Great work mate, I lived in Darwin for 10 years, was mad into fishing then, I remember how hot it was just sitting in the boat, let alone swinging a pick, even though the whole time I was there I was roofing, probably should have been used to the heat 😂 now I’m in Hervey Bay and have lost all interest in fishing and have caught the gold bug, just doing some panning so far but just about to buy my first detector. Would be really cool to see a time lapse video of those species sitting in their acid bath, and the end result. Keep up the great vids mate 😎💪🏼👍
How good mate. Welcome to the gold fever 🥵😂 Love my fishing as well 🎣 . But the heat in the build up as you know is a killer. It zaps the life from out of you. ⚒️ Thanks for the positive feedback and I hope you get into some big ones.
Congrats Matt! I was looking at the rocks and most looked jagged. Did you find any rounded rocks in your prospecting. Maybe a old stream was once there. Great video!
That’s an amazing result! I can’t wait for the update after the acid bath! Do you leave specimens intact or do you dissolve the stone off them? Also send any excess you build up my way
You may not want to answer this question but, do you sell them or keep them? I’m just curious because I’ve heard that the value of a specimen can be higher than the value of the gold alone.
Thats a great day mate! Deserve it in those conditions to, anyone from interstate probably dosnt understand, that its nearly as hot at night as is it during the day, its just dark!
Congrats mate on your finds! What strength Hydrochloric acid do you use btw? Where do you buy it from and how long does it take to breakdown the host rock/iron etc? Cheers
It’s full strength hydrochloric acid, buy it from Bunnings or a pool shop. Usually see results to ironstone after 3 hours in acid, but best results over 7 days.
Outstanding Matt....well done mate......now go get the rest of it.
Thanks mate… I hope you are well?

@jph8266 I do sell some as all good and not specimens. Yes I have heard the same thing. But am currently hanging onto my gold for a rainy day.
@@TerraRangerGold honestly I’m doing the same thing… the value just keeps climbing!!!
Nice 24 hours in the scrub.
Hope you're on the gold, on your next outing
