great finds mate
Thanks mate. 👍
Nice finds.
Thanks, are you getting any gold?
Well done, beautiful gold. Will you end up crushing the species?
Not at this stage, unless gold hits $5k an ounce I might 😂👍🔨
A geologist mate told me ages ago that it'll reach $5k an ounce......in US$!
@DetectaBull wow that would be sweet.
Pffft! Is that all? 😁 Nah mate, well done. I've got just over 1 ounce this year. Happy days
Bloody happy days mate. Keep in g trying the yellow. 👍
12oz in 3 years? Thats commitment and pain.
Yep - absolutely loved every minute of it 👍
💪
Great channel ❤
Thanks for the positive feedback. Please do share it. 👍
Spread the word leave state forests alone
Gotta earn it mate the push into a shitty situation bad weather sketchy remote unknowns is what I kinda like doing the most always find a bit always come home wiser on the locations secrets too it’s a fun time even if it sux a little bit ,great advice cobba hope you find heaps cheers
Thanks mate. Yes I love the challenge, I hope you keep coming home with the heavy pockets full of gold. 👍
@ thats always a bonus mate
Fantastic, your approach is a rare insight into a fulfilling and hopefully successful mode of prospecting. operations, I am a huge fan of understanding human behaviour and the practice of ‘adaptive leadership’ to get the best out of yourself when placed under pressure to get a job done, a 36 yr career in emergency services and a dose of Parkinson’s disease has taught me resilience and to follow process which I now apply to gold detecting, thanks Terra.
Thanks for the kind words, feedback and insights. A huge thanks for your service! Take care of yourself. 👍
Well said, Cheers
Thanks mate, I hope you are getting onto some gold?
Its too hot. Its too wet. Grass is too long!
Lol, you’re funny. 🤣
Niice
How many carats does that gold nugget have?
22-23k
Does it do OK with tiny little bits of gold like less than a quarter gram? Or is there a better choice in this budget range? Only have small stuff in my area.
Does it do OK with tiny little bits of gold like less than a quarter gram? Only have small stuff in my area.
I am just venturing into smelt and pours. LOVE you efforts, and the helpful comments. I will be melting .999 Philharmonics, and .9999 Maples, but have some borax handy in case needed for milk spots. Great job! New sub and LIKE smasher.
Hey thanks for the positive feedback mate. Appreciate that and best of luck with it. 👍
to do this stuff more than someone lost their skin. the type of rotor of the 22 is not designed to do these things, flying it in this way and getting out of the helicopter unharmed means being a miracle. seeing these videos it doesn't come to me to think that the pilot is cool but he is just reckless then people say that the 22 is a coffin if you use it for something for which it should not be used and considering how many there are around I would say that it is anything but a coffin, in fact it is a good father of the family because if it were not so there should be at least double the number of deaths.
Terrific commentary, have and are experiencing all the 10lessons you have spoken about, and can relate to it all , it’s a hobby and you must treat it that way,the unexpected is the trill of your adventure and experience, thank you 👍some people will be on the same page 🙏👍
Thanks for the positive feedback. I hope you are finding some heavy gold 👍
@ just recently found my first 5grm after 10years randomly looking around when I could, machine upgrade, and new knowledge, hopefully it will keep coming 👍
@ronaldmargetts7812 hey congratulations mate. That’s a beauty. 👍
You need a panning chair and don't forget to tell people the best time to pan is between 10.00am and 2.00pm for better sun clarity, are you sure it isn't "fools gold", I still won't buy a 20kg bag to check up on you or Vo Gus. have a good day.
Yeh it’s not worth the time or money. For the minute amount. Thanks for the tips 👍
Hreat vids nice kept to 10mins
Hey thanks for the positive feedback mate. I hope you are getting some gold.
Im out full time, its Novermber 20 today. If you really want to find more gold, I strongly believe you need ro treat it like a job. Time for reaserch and then time for hunting, and time to switch off. The key is to pick some ground and scan the ground well, patch hunting takes for ever with days and weeks with 0 targets. Sure the new 6000 has made it so old ground you can find tiny gold, but you need to do it differently to everyone else. Im currently 220kms north of Laverton WA, up where the indigenous say there is no gold, I have foud some traces, so I keep hunting. Hunting for gold is extremely hard on the body and mind, but I love the life style. 326 grams last year and on our way to beat that this year with a couple of multiple oz nuggets. Work hard and enjoy the bush 👍
Bloody awesome advice, thanks. Absolutely if you have the chance to treat it more than a past time that is great. I wish I could as well. But I gotta take leave and wait for the weekends to get swinging. Thanks for the feedback 👍
And I definitely love the bush. 👍
@TerraRangerGold i tried it part-time for 3 yrs, then lost the rental, and I have 2 dogs, then lost my job 2022 for being homeless, so it was a logical step for me. Me and my dogs live off what we find
@HuntingOldYella wow they sound like hard circumstances. Best of luck and I hope you can fill your pockets.
Great advice right there! 😊
Appreciate the kind words mate. 👍
You should have learned how to do this before making the video friend
Yes I should have, absolutely 👍
Bad pour
Use everything you can. Watch other prospectors to see how it's done. Use old maps, surveys, newspaper clippings, mine registration, to see where gold was found in the past. Where, what size, what concentration.
Great advice mate. 👍
Thanks for the advice....I haven't started yet... probably next dry season. I'm 90 minutes from Pine Creek where I hope to find my first peice of gold Cheers
You are in the right location Joe. Best of luck, I look forward to hearing about your finds. 👍🇦🇺⚒️
look for flour gold. the kind your eyes cant see. +++
Nice common sense advice. Love the troll circus guy and his man eating chicken tent. Heck a cobra chicken just flew by
Thanks mate. Always that one guy. 😂👍
As others have already said, don't get rid of the flux, it will contain gold, weigh your gold and at 50% borax, 2nd, don't drop the larger bits of gold into the crucible when it's hot as The crucible may break at the bottom. I have had this happen. 3rd, get yourself some map gas for your ingot to get it to temperature instead of placing it on top of the furnace. These are just some tips that I have learnt over the years from trial and error.
Awesome and thanks Kane. 👍
1,947 F “this makes gold very easy to melt.” Right because I totally have something in my garage that can reach 2000+ F
No you would need a furnace or gas blowtorch will do the same.
4 ounces of Gold is a pathetic amount, but this guy is suddenly an Authority on it all Your a joke😂
This is funny. I don’t recall claiming to know it all, just sharing my experience. Thanks for the view 👍
Not bad from one moron with one subsciber, probably your cute sister
The neighbors ask Larry to look for gold in their creek, Larry runs up and down the creek and then yells "right there, give me a stick" he then dug up a 1.5g nugget. With a STICK. Larry the human metal detector. Un-frinkin-real
Great words of wisdom my friend. Thanks for sharing your gold experience with the community. Stay safe and blessed brother. 😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
Thanks for the positive feedback my friend. Appreciate that. Happy prospecting.👍
@@TerraRangerGold Finding 4 ounces and you know it all?? Yeh there’s a lot of wannabes out there that after finding a few crumbs they are suddenly an opinionated on it all It Takes Decades to achieve wisdom
@auintogold4725 don’t recall saying I know it all. 👍
Thanks for sharing the information and your experience!!
Hey thanks my friend. Appreciate it.👍👍
I think bummymcneedy is definitely a armchair expert
Appears that way mate for sure.👍
SAY IT IN A MIRROR, LOOK INTO YOUR OWN EYES, SAY "I AM A HOBBYIST"
@bumnymcneedy249 never said I wasn't, it's just like fishing to me, down here in Australia, looking for gold is called prospecting, and what you call "gas" we call petrol, what you call fanny is we call arse, what we call fanny, you call virginal et etc....I'm a prospector, not full time, I do it for fun and some extra money. Love it. I'm a prospector.
@@topendgold9284 We don't have the same definition, we call em swinging geezers.
This dude is actually censoring me, typical soft aus behavior
No one has censored anyone.
Hard to tell mate we've got e Karen's five eyes Australia's occult government is out of control
Great Words Terra, life choices are a life balance, remember the song 'Cat's in the Cradle' I've edited it a l'l bit but if I let prospecting define who I am then I risk never getting time with my five kids, ''My detector arrived just the other day It came in the post in the usual way But there were nuggs to dig, and bills to pay It learned to dig holes while I was away And it was find'n gold before I knew it, and as it grew It'd say "I'm not gonna be like you, dad" "You know I'm not gonna be like you"
That’s great mate. Love it 👍 I hope you get onto some gold.
Great information there. Yes I treat it as a hobby, don't expect to get a life changing nugget, it'd be nice but I'm happy with my hobby.
Top stuff, you’re in the right mindset mate.
Don't throw the flux/glass out. it will contain gold. I worked in a goldroom for a few years. You should weigh the gold and put 50% of the weight in borax in. Potassium Nitrate and Soda ash are oxidising agent and will help increase the %au in the pour. Try about 5% by weight of each and a little sand helps viscosity. Or you can buy premixed fluxes online which would be easier. Have fun
Hey thanks for the informative response. Appreciate that. 👍
This is horrible advice, because if you treat it like a hobby, then you won't find success, you need to live out there in a tent eating birds. Calling yourself a "prospector" and calling it a "pass-time" is a logical paradox, it's an oxymoron.
Yes true, not sure why you would eat birds. Does that make you a better prospector?
Absolutely, you don't have time to drive back into town, normally you're far, far away from the roads even. Every single prospector I know is a multi millionaire, just be honest and address yourself as a hobbyist, a hobbyist and a prospector are worlds apart
Geez mate, I know a shipload of cricketers who play on weekends, don't make the coin that Pat Cummins does.....you have a special name for them?
@topendgold9284 yep spot on. 😂👍🇦🇺
@@topendgold9284 I'm not familiar with your Australian bs
Give me the actual time you were out in field? Did you live out there like your supposed to do? Prospecting isn't a hobby it's a 24/7 job
Where does it say in the rule book you have to live out in the bush to be a prospector? Thanks for the feedback.
@@TerraRangerGold You must devote 100% if you want to find success, yes that means you don't have time to go back home every day, that's insane, until you get into claim work. Just like anything in life, half hearted efforts give you no fruit.
Also the amount of gear and supplies you need is insane, you have a donkey? How much gas can you carry for your atv for how long.
@bumnymcneedy249 , you obviously are not familiar with the top end of Australia, that's ok, most yanks couldn't even find Australia on a globe....it's impossible to do 24/7 12 months a year. It's the wet tropics. Not like Florida, more like Texas but about 5 times as big, and a population of 240,000. Not a lot of roads. You get about 4 hours a day where you can be semi productive, if you can get out bush in the 1st place. During the wet, grass grows about 3 to 5 feet tall, and stays that way until it's burnt. Temperature a couple of weeks ago was 42.7 or about 110 f. It stays like that for about 12 to 14 hours, then cools down to a low of around 90f at about 2 am. In the old days, a party of 8 men travelled from Darwin to the known Gold fields (about 60 miles) in the wet season. 3 made it, 3 died and 2 went back. They allowed 4 days travel, took them 18.
@@topendgold9284 I am in SE asia, no excuses, we have tigers and king cobras, krait snakes that will send you straight to the pearly gates. You think it's tough there? HA! Dig deep enough and you'll find water, if your in a wet environment, even better. You ever dig through many feet of clay before? Get a water filter and snake boots, buck up.
nice bar mate
Thanks mate, I hope you are getting onto some.
@@TerraRangerGold3 years and haven't found one detecting mite have to go into the creeks for some powder gold detecting is n0t that easy mate or i not looking in the good spots
@pkgoldopalhunting wow, keep pressing on. However I would consider trying a new location if I was you.
Fantastic Video. We are newbies too. I'll remember to keep a Heater on the mould at all times. Keep up the great Work. Shalom Eleichem 😢🎉
Hey thanks for the positive feedback I hope you can check out the other videos and consider subscribing. 👍
Good video. Now your job is find enough nuggets to make more bars. Cheers
Absolutely mate, but the weather is working against me!😳
Good video. What does putting it into acid do?
Thanks mate. The acid eats everything but not the gold. So making it more cleaner.
tip keep the flax, it has gold inside of it. big mining companies keep it and re-smelt it. also some flox sometimes will have gold drops in it from the main gold body.
Thanks for the tip 👍
