Just replaced my radiator on my 14 grand Cherokee v6 3.6 using this video. However I did remove the front bumper, which wasn't to hard, which undoubtedly made the job much easier. Before you pull the front bumper though, watch a couple videos on you tube first. I was also able to remove the radiator without disconnecting the transmission coolant lines. I wanted to avoid this based on the reported fluid loss and the c little clips that I didn't want to take a chance on losing.
One caveat: There are Power steering lines, going to the cooler in front of the radiator, are attached to the radiator via a clamp on the bottom right. This wasn't in the video. It was a pain to get it off. In fact, I'm not sure how you would do it without the bumper removed. The bracket had to be removed from the old radiator as the new one did not have the bracket. I also bled the air out of the radiator when refilling. Refer to a you tube video on how to do this.
I also bought the BETOOLL 9pc Hose Clamp Pliers kit, which made removing the coolant lines MUCH easier, and the
EPAuto Spill Proof Radiator Coolant Filling Funnel Kit for making the coolant refill procedure much easier also. Both bought on Amazon. The whole job took about 4 hours. Good luck.

Way to go Chrysler definitely an overcomplicated radiator replacement.

This method seems very efficient -- no bumper removal is key for me.

Aren't we supposed to bleed the coolant for air/bubbles?

Great video and helped me out with my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Other than a few minor differences everything was right on point!!

How do I replace the fluid that came out of the two transmission cooler lines while they were disconnected?

I would like to know how you were able to remove the transmission cooler lines WITHOUT any fluid coming out? I did mine and it seemed like a full quart of oil came pouring out.
Almost all of these videos show how to remove with the V6 engine, which seems easier. Mine has the Hemi and it is not as easy as these videos show. You do have to remove the trans cooler lines! After several attempts to do it without removing the trans lines, I finally gave in. Within 5 minutes it came out. New one went right in. Note: I didn't remove the grill or bumper.

To bleed coolant lines for these easiest way is to open radiator cap wait for thermostat to pull fluid rev at 1500 for 10 secs then leave run open thermostat bleeder till all air is removed u know way it runs and does fizz like opening a soda then close bleeder rev one more time and do same process till air stops coming out of bleeder then tighten add fluid till full and take for test test if temp fluxs there's still air ull know when all air is out cuz temp gage won't flux anymore

I can't find a reason to remove the transmission cooler lines. They don't seem to be in the way of removing the radiator

Just pull the bumper and do it properly,. dont fight with it, its only two small bolts and a handful of x-mas tree fasteners

Good video but there were definitely some challenges and differences along the way. I agree I thought you were supposed to bleed it? I say this bc my car is running hot after I changed my radiator. The leaks are gone after replacing it, and I have a new thermostat I also replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses so they are clean . But from what I read it sounds like I’m supposed to bleed it …. a step you might want to add or mention at least. It looks like you used a bleeding funnel but again no mention of it . Also I completely agree with another person’s comment just take off the front bumper… I mean the amount of time I spent wrestling with those bolts and hooks and horns in front etc getting it out and everything it would have been far much easier by taking bumper off especially putting in the 13mm bolts… I noticed you don’t have wiring on the passenger side connected to the hood latch but, my 2015 grand Cherokee does making this even more challenging to do so that I finally just disconnected it to get enough room (but barely) to secure the 13mm bolt and I have small hands. Lastly I was shocked to see fluid coming out of the transmission coolant lines, all over the place … you never mentioned it or addressed this either and it didn’t happen in the video which freaked me out a bit ….but again this would have been helpful to know. Honestly I would have never messed with those bc the spring clips were a pain to get back on and the collars too… I would have left them connected esp bc I don’t know how much fluid I lost out of them and I don’t know how to fill or replace what came out. Like I would have much rather popped off the front bumper it would have made this a lot easier in the long run and a lot less messy. Looks like there are some similar comments glad to see I’m not the only one with some question/concerns about the video. Although I appreciate your detailed video it was a good resource for the most part I think some updates are warranted.

I feel like it would be easier to remove the grille and bumper. No?
