I'm convinced movie makers do that stuff intentionally. They do it with just about everything. Airplanes, cars, dirt bikes, etc. Prop plane sounds with jets, two stroke sounds when 4 stroke bikes are used, etc.
That thing sounds insane. It doesn’t look like a large 1000cc bike, probably because he’s throwing it round like its a smaller bike. Very impressive!!!!
Would be too heavy to keep up with the 500's agility imo. To go fast around a track you gotta have a balanced bike, not one that's too overpowered! That said, I'd still love to see that battle.
@Rick Phillips Kingkong0581 PSN A two stroke has no low end grunt. It has what? 6:1 compression and little rotating mass. Gotta keep a two stroke in the power band. But yes, the tighter the track and the more on and off the power certainly favors a lighter fast Reving 2 stroke. Big straight aways? Of course the big 4 cylinder is going to shine if it can hook up.
I can somewhat relate to the feeling of riding this bike with memories of the 1st time my buddy let me ride his BossHoss with a Chevrolet small block V8. Going straight was fine, stopping at traffic lights was a little stressful not wanting to lose balance and drop it being 1100 lbs but going straight was unbelievable. The feeling of sitting on top of a 300 hp. V8 doing 60 mph and rolling the throttle. 60-100 in a few seconds. And the sound!!! Un F _ _ _ _ _ _ G believable!!!! Great video man!

Simply incredible, I honestly cannot imagine getting on that thing. I had an IT425 that would pull the front wheel off the ground with me standing over the handlebars, but that thing genuinely frightens me. Well done.

Actually 🤓..... When I was 5 I started riding on a custom 500cc Honda Elsinore MR 50. I'd say it's a close comparison. I needed more power....my technical skills are immeasurable and no other rider comes close. I've been barred from all race organizations and most well known tracks. Because I'm just too good. 😉
I grew up in the 70's & 80's riding 2 strokes. I've been privileged to ride from RM 80's to a Maico 490& CR 500s. That bike's insanity and I love it, when your scared riding big bore 2 strokes your living large!!
It would be fantastic to see a motocross class cor bikes like this. This is a true open class bike. Gorgeous sound that thing makes. Lucky dude to ride it.

When I was about ten I had a Xr200 and CR125. One day my dads friend put me on a Honda 750 cafe style racer of some sort… it was a ride I’ll never forget, even by late 70’s/early 80’s standards, the 750 was such an awesome thrill; the pull, the sound, the speed build up comparison on a known road, the way it climbed a big hill. Possibly the best 20 minutes of my life lol. It kinda ruined street bikes for me, 600’s were fun, but not thrilling, even my first liter bike (ZX11d) failed to deliver the rush a 10 year old feels on a 750, although I’d imagine this crazy 1000cc dirt bike might get close.
Like years ago racing rally cars and the old 500 two strokes the transition back into normal speed like 100 kph down the freeway feels like slow mo crazy guys. You got the perfect test pilot loved the vid were you beat the four strokes on the old 500 stroke.
I've never heard such beautiful power on a dirt bike, and yes I would love to give it go. I ride dirt first but I love the power of street so this is match made in hell and looks like alotta fun.
Love it....i had a husky 510. The suspension on the stock bike was garbage. I had to replace the front forks with fox. And give the rear shocks a bit of a rake. It was a lot of bike. But I am Six foot three at two seventy five pounds. So it's a lot for the bike to pull. I think that maybe because of my height and my weight to plant the rear end where I want it in through the corners. And obviously on the straights leaning my ass back helps a lot with the track. But having something like this would trust be really interesting. Obviously it takes incredible skill and knowledge knowledge in knowing how to set up yourself through the corners. I'm just so glad you guys are doing it. I've often wondered how fast I could ever peel the bark. I watched those finish guys build a one thousand out of a g s x motor. It was totally awesome. And he would scream that thing wide open. I've watched the hill climber dual five hundred c r, and that is another awesome build. I'm so glad to see the younger generation. Really get their heads around the sport and take it to the ultimate limit.

I imagine it's the same or similar to riding a street bike on dirt......put knobbies on my GSX 1100 way back in the day at it was scary on gravel roads and trails
It needs a dual x-pipe dual exhaust and this would give it so much more power to the ground control not to mention a much better big balled sound! But it’s amazing congrats to the owner.......on his beard and the bike!
Thanks brother's, cool video, I am a big bike rider. Yes I've had many off road and dirt bikes. But there's nothing like pushing a large heavy bike around. Believe me. You need to think well in advance of mishaps, I've had my share. My 1990 Honda TRANSALP was about 500 pounds. But, nobody could keep up with me nomatter what they rode. They said I was nuts flying 10 feet above their heads on this huge bike. I always thought it was needing twice as much to make real proformance. I was interested to see the Triumph Tiger, it was twice the size in everything except the engine. And it was aesthetically pleasing to the eye.. and it was only Built 6 miles away from my Village. But when I was at the bike shop in London they cringed when I asked for a performance package for the engine. Asking why would I want such a thing it's a beast as it is. I don't just accept anything. I grew up in the aviation industry. I have even founded several companies. And built my own aircraft, but, I love taking a large machine and putting it through the paces. Learning how to through it around. Make it do what it can. It's just hard to SURVIVE ALL OF THE HARD IMPACTS, HEADONS AND SLAPS AND FLIPS TO THE HARD EARTH. Never let your guard down. The rider said it cool. I saw what he could do and then progress. STAY SAFE EVERYBODY. ITS A HARD EARTH.

I think the formula is great, maybe go half as extrem with like some 750 v twin engine or so and you have an absolute ripper, but not quite as bad of a widow maker.

taht 1000cc cant win on mx track with the cr 500......its heavier than cr 500
CR500 is no where near 150 HP. The tighter the track the better for the CR.

I'd like a comparison in lap times between this and a 450 motocross bike. You can only hook up so much power through a standard size dirt tyre.
