Honestly, a reboot of the DOA series might the best option right now because it could combine the best elements of DOAs 2U, 3 and 4 with 5 and 6 while erasing the storyline mess of 6.
The only thing i hated about doa 6 was that horrible nft crap in it, Despite paying for the costumes, You have to grind for hundreds of hours to get set materials, It's dumb, But yeah the story wasn't that great i have to admit, A reboot is maybe what the game needs, Without any grind mechanics and tons of cosmetic dlc's too 😉
Team Ninja removed tag battle, 60-70% of sexiness from female characters has been also taken, the game physics has been altered in various unfavourable ways, Leon, Gen Fu and Ein has been removed (They were also a nazi to Leon and he didn't even come back this time!!!) and the list goes on. If a Doa7 will happen, I call it right now that not even that game is going to be better than Doa5. MARK MY FUCKING WORDS!!!
DOA5 actually isn't the most successful DOA game, but it is one of them for sure. DOA2/2U, DOA3, and DOA4 are the more successful since each of their success came at a much quicker rate while it took a long time for DOA5 to become successful. DOA3 is the most successful DOA game since it's the best selling title in the franchise with more than 2 million copies sold, it earned Tecmo and Team Ninja more than 36 million in revenues, and DOA3 won several awards and earned many nominations, making DOA3 the most awarded game in the franchise. DOA2 and DOA3 are the games that gave DOA its identity.
I understood like 10% of what you said lol, I'm still really new and trying to learn DOA. DOA 6 was my first fighting game so it's kinda my favorite, I keep trying DOA 5 but it is so much harder, the A.I just kicks me all over the god damn place and the damage! Oh my God dude, a character will do like 1 move and take half your life bar. I also kinda like Momiji's moves in 6 better, but that's probably cause I'm more familiar with it. Anyway thanks for teaching people about DOA and making these videos, hope your having a good day.
DOA3 was my entry into 3D fighting fames on the original Xbox (can't just play only Halo all day) and I was amazed at how easy it was to get into but could get complex once you spend time with the game and it wasn't even entirely about juggling combos for me. I still think spacing is better done on DOA than Tekken, where learning Korean backdash becomes essential if you want to maximize spacing. Although I admit, I play Tekken 7 more than any other fighting game 2D or 3D, DOA had a certain fluidity back in the day that is hard to replicate in the genre. It suck TK and Team Ninja dropped the ball but hopefully they take time to figure things out, leave the microtransaction bullshit in the past and give Tekken a run for its money. If Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter can exist in the same space then so can DOA and Tekken.
Yeah I think it is, and I think people like the gameplay and roster in that game the most. Personally I think 2U, 3 and 4 are the best. The story modes were awesome and the stages and presentation was at its best.
Originally I played Doa5 for the girls. I tried playing against the npcs and i enjoyed it surprisingly. I learnt increasing the difficulties and i kept playing it
3:00 Actually, DOA3.1 and 3.2, aka the European and Japanese versions of DOA3 play more mechanically like DOA5. The sidestepping in DOA5 came from DOA3.1/3.2, Counter Holds don't do that much damage percent in 3.1/3.2 while the damage percentage in DOA2/2U is high, and Falls Off The Edges in the DOA3 games knocks out opponents while Falls in 2/2U don't. For those who are interested in playing DOA3.1 and DOA3.2, you can download them on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One from Xbox Live if DOA3 is purchased on Xbox Live first, then changing the region in Xbox settings to either United Kingdom or Japan, and then restarting the console before downloading. The console can be changed back to the default region after the download is complete.
@@snoopybishop If you already bought DOA3 from Xbox Live, you should delete the US version, then change the region in the Xbox settings to either United Kingdom or Japan, and then restart the console before downloading. After the download is complete, you can switch the region back to the United States.
DOA5 is the most voted because a lot of the original fans left the game after 4! DOA5 came with a new fan base that never played the original DOA games and don’t understand how the previous DOA’s are far superior in every single aspect than 5! They need to kick DOA5 and 6 to the curb and look at 2U and 3 for aesthetic, music, gameplay, animations, stairs, tag mode! And take 6 graphics and revolutionise the fighting game genre and take the game into 2022 with more customisation ! Just fucking do it
I agree with you on this one. I barely see the charm of DOA2U in 5 and it's not there for me in 6. 2U is the best in the series imo, the mechanics, the movement, the balance of cool male/female characters. No milking microtransaction BS. No weeb/weirdo bait. Just a good, dynamic f-ing 3D fighting game
5 was the first one they made free which is another reason why more people played. I prefer the look and atmosphere of 4. DOA2U absolutely had the best content and I agree with you DOA5 had the most sound mechanics. It just felt like they tried to make it grittier emulating Ninja Gaiden throughout most of the stages. I miss the fun endings
DOA2 was my first DOA game. I liked the game, and the characters but didn't really understand the mechanics at the time. Unfortunately, I missed DOA3 and 4 because I never had an xbox. So I got left out of the series until DOA5 came out for Playstation 3. I bought the game, and it rapidly became my main game, freaking loved it.
5 will always be my favourite it's my first. I remember coming home from highschool one day and going to rent a game and I saw DOA5 so I decided to try it because I was kinda tired of Tekken6 and I didn't know DOA was a fighter I only remember it being a movie. When I say to you that my mind was fucking blown simply by reading the manual and seeing the whole triangle system and playing around in training I was like WHERE THE FUCK HAS THIS GAME BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE. Loved it ever since and will always play it until it completely dies out.
DOA5LR is my favorite because it’s very complete and it has my favorite gameplay. However, I do prefer 4’s sound design and I wish more stages moved over to 5. I also really liked the cutscenes they put in DOA4’s story mode (which really was just arcade). Plus, DOA5 had VF5 characters. I thought it was nice that they had a home after the Virtua Fighter series had ended. At least until Ultimate Showdown came out. I love DOA’s stages. My favorite stages in any fighting game series. Soul Calibur is a close second though.
It's between 3 & 5 for me. DOA3 was my first and was serviceable gameplay. DOA5 had the best competitive gameplay. DOA4 is nostalgic and beautiful, but I'm not a fan of the hold system and lack of unholdable situations.
DOA4 was the best fighting game ever made for me, and I would play it on Steam right now if they released it. There are a few reasons for this. Each subsequent DOA release caused the DOA to apparently stand for Dead on Arrival. The community seemed almost nonexistent in comparison, whereas DOA4 on 360 always had people playing 24/7. 3:43 and 6:00 I disagree with that. I played often with pros, and managed to win multiple times as a player who bounced between A+ and S, and never achieved SS. Occasionally they advertised on the Xbox 360 market place when you could play against a pro on a specific date, and I always took advantage of it. I feel like there was always an opportunity for mechanical complexity to supersede the mind games your opponent threw at you. The concept you're describing of being stun locked I've noticed seems more of a problem with Tekken 7, and ironically is why I don't play Tekken. It felt to be the opposite of DOA, where it seemed memorizing combos was more important than actual skill or reaction time. I loved the small details of DOA 4 like the customizable lobby (background, spectator TV and colors) with the customizable avatar that you dripped out by winning fights against other players, not by spending actual money. There were no DLC character to spend money on, but rather characters you unlocked by playing the game itself. This was the last fighting game I remember playing that had integrity, and it was probably my favorite online game for the 360 at launch.
Did you not play 2U or 4? 2U lets you unlock up to 20 costumes for each character without having to pay extra for DLC. The reason why 5 and 6 seem to have a lot of content is because of their DLC and Season passes (which are absurdly expensive). 5 can be your favorite and I respect your opinion, but I think 2U and 4 deserve more consideration.
@@deadoralivefan12 I actually have played DOA 2U (4 I haven’t played yet though I do want to) and I do really enjoy it, it’s more so because Mila and Momiji are my favorite characters to play as in doa who are only in 5 and 6. If I play DOA 2U and 3 I usually pick hitomi but Mila and Momiji are my top favorites. I can certainly say that the dlc practices of 5 and especially 6 are really greedy
@@guardian7106 If you like Momiji, you should get Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. She’s a playable side character and her acrobatic moves are a lot of fun. You also get to play as Ayane and Rachel (Ayane’s very fast and Rachel is powerful).
@@deadoralivefan12 oh yeah I actually played that a few years ago (though I haven’t beaten it yet or any of the NG games) and that’s what led me to playing Momiji in doa,
I think a Virtua Fighter X DOA would help revitalize both series. Imagine a roster about as big as tekken with stages from both games, and a unique story involving both franchises, rollback netcode, better business practices(no $100 season passes), better casual appeal(similar to tekken cosmetic freedom and unlocks, misc.). We could finally have a good 3D competitor to Tekken. I can dream can't I?
Why Virtua Fighter if you want to include a unique story? Virtua Fighter never had much of that as far as I remember. I think a SoulCalibur x DOA would be better. It could have SoulCalibur’s good single player/casual play and DOA’s variety of costumes (but without the expensive DLC).
There was a story, just not ever communicated in game outside of VF3's character endings. You had to read the manuals to know what was going on, which I was always sad about.
I think Core Fighters being free definitely helped get people into DOA5. Combine that ease of entry with the largest roster in the series, as well as its super solid mechanics, and you can totally see how that’s the one that most people would pick. Personally 2/2U is my favorite but 5’s definitely second.
Doa 5 for me it was the most balanced one it was difficult took skill had the biggest roster so many people played it there were so many mechanics to doa 5 its crazy doa5 was probably the best one due to the fact it had so many players and it had so many competitors on evo the only thing I don't like is how lazy team ninja if they find ways to make more money for the company doa would be one of the top 3d fighters out there if more effort was put into it
Thank you for the poll. I honestly think a lot of it comes from Doa5 being across so many generations of consoles it's all most people know. Most people haven't played DoA 2 or 3, even if they were super popular back then.
They probably stopped post round movement “for better sportsmanship”=they were tired of people teabagging Marie Rose, Honoka and knew NiCO was going to face the same fate. They also removed the break blow shot to the trash triplets faces (and strangely Tamaki’s but she’s a guest and Kula who is most likely 14) when early builds let it happen; guess they saw all the videos of every Break Blow done to the trash triplets. But the censorship is odd and unnecessary because other series with much worse violence allow characters who are younger than the trash triplets to meet bad ends: Nakoruru, Rimururu, Cham Cham, Mina, and Rera can all be fataled in Samurai Showdown. Hibiki can be killed with no mercy in the Last Blade 2, unlike Akari. I didn’t understand this in MK either, not allowing Ferra to get hurt but it’s gore and violence to both sexes was okay. While I think the DOA6U thing was more of a wish list hoax, DOA6 really had no hope from the beginning and really Sony, KT, and TN ALL are to blame because they all had a hand in its failure. An update could never fix everything wrong with DOA6 and the best thing really is to discard everything DOA6 did and revert back to DOA5LR’s fighting system. Dismiss most of DOA6’s story and not reference it at any point anymore. I’m very surprised about DOA4 bearing DOA2/DOA2U as DOA2U is the far superior game. People forget DOA5-5LR came in between the worst 2 entries in the franchise and DOA4 was regarded as the worst one of the series for a long time as it’s gameplay surrendered its former depth to look pretty (but surprisingly hasn’t aged well yet DOA2U has) and threw away gameplay mechanics for no reason, had far less content than DOA1, and DOA2/DOA2U, gameplay mechanics that weren’t finished or just left broken, and overall really didn’t do much for the series than have a great story mode. People should play DOA2U, DOA3, DOA4, DOA5LR, and DOA6 in order (they’re all available easily too) and then they’d probably see how lacking DOA4 and DOA6’s fighting systems are.
Yeah. And one of those people was me Then I got Xbox consoles (Xbox 360 and Xbox One) and played 4, 3 and 2 Ultimate. Now I feel that DOA 5 is the outlier. It is especially jarring to see it alongside the estimable Itagaki era stuff. Because that's an amazingly take-no-prisoners approach that DOA had from 2 Ultimate to 4. From the gameplay to the stage designs, those games looked like they're not to be fucked with. The franchise looks like it's embarassed of itself ever since, and overly defensive of ONE aspect of the games (a.k.a. the 'jiggles') to the point where it's nearly all about it, now. Furthermore, DOA 5 looks like the franchise got its life sucked out of it, with lesser fanfare and resources, right down to the color palette. The optics of this game are quite bad. Things got worse with DOA 6, but at least DOA 6 restored the bright color palette which I now feel is essential to the franchise. It also has the other significant hallmark of the franchise, which is that it seems like it's a leap forward in terms of graphics compared to its peers. Shame that it appears to be incomplete. That said, the post-Itagaki stuff are solid entries. I vastly prefer DOA 5 over DOA 6, though DOA 6 is increasingly a close second. For all intents and purpose, DOA 5 dared to evolve the franchise and had a manic energy to it. It also has a very cinematic, chop socky vision unmatched by any other next gen FG I've seen before, from the feel of the fights, the physical storytelling, to the vastly underrated character work, compared to the visually vibrant yet stilted 6. If DOA 5: LR is the only DOA game I'd ever known before and after 6, I'd be fine with it. But it's not DOA 2 U to 4. It really looks like it was made by another developer that's more of going through the motions or pandering to the current reputation instead of going back to the root of what made it strong and enduring in the first place, which is the audacity and the drive to push the envelope and slay everything in its path, as well as a sincere belief in its characters and their struggles. So the original fire is gone. And it needs to get the fire back.
03:29 Perfect DOA7 game. Art style of 5 Plays like 4 with the target blows in 5. Break Blows can stay but maybe do it like being in a "finish him/her" state. Please adopt Tekkens character customization format. I don't want to do challenges to unlock your lame skins, just let me play and earn coins or whatever for them. Team battle must return. I have a whole laundry list but that's just an appetizer.
As good DOA 5 is, DOA 2,3 and 4 are superior to 5. DOA 2 put it on the map. DOA 3 was a game changer for the Xbox brand and DOA 4 was DOA at its best. DOA 5 only got better with its better iterations(Ultimate and Last Round) but it was mostly milked to death by DLC. DOA 6 is a failure.
Yea I voted for doa5 because it was the first one I got into. The first doa I played was the one that came out when Xbox was released, but that was for like 5 minutes. Doa5u on 360 was my real intro(and that was in 2018 I think, I was hella late lol) but I did buy doa4 afterwards and the only think I didn't like about it was the jumping attacks. I'd want a doa7 with some of the moves from doa4, the mechanics of doa5lr, the graphics of doa6 and just a fugg ton more stages and costume variety. Like choosing between a power blow and a power launch again would be nice, Helenas PP2KK and Hitomis PP6PK from doa4 i really liked. I miss sit down stuns too. Throw breaks are kinda iffy for me in some ways I think they're needed and in some ways I don't, a good point you made was adding throw breaks for reset throws I can agree with that, and some characters with impossibly fast throws(lisa) lemme break that sh!t somehow. I get that they have budget constraints but it's the little things that they do to make the game more balanced that will increase sales. The only other thing I think holding them back is their dlc, mainly the prices of season passes they really screwed the pooch with dlc in 6, paying $92 for costumes and 2-3 characters is insane when the costumes are recycled, at least with doa5lr the costumes were mostly unique to each character. They need to just get a group of predominant doa players together and take suggestions and try their best to do what they can. They could also just do what soulcalibur did and just do a reboot but they'd really have to do that right or they'd be f*cked. Sorry fof the long comment
5 because Mai is my main and really fun to play not to mention mod support. I played DOA2U but played 5 first so the less complex movesets threw me off a little. DOA2 was still a great game but had to go with 5 for my favorite. (Never played the others hardly ever owning an Xbox)
Aesthetically DOA4. Mechanically DOA5. But add new mechanics and get rid of cheap and easy guarantees found in 5. Definitely need cross play between consoles. Need proper net code support for Xbox players too.
I haven't played much DoA, only DoA4 (my first), 3 (only long enough to have a save ready for hitomi in 2u), and then 2U 2U is easily the one for me, just wish i could play it online w/ rollback and friends ig but Having less Stuns (still there and important, but not literally everything) more personality in the stages, a slightly more forgiving AI, etc, really made it amazing to me. And it had Hitomi, who I liked in 4 tho i'm a novice so idk i never understood what people hated about 4
Dead or alive 4 imo is the best game and most successful...Dead or alive 4 had the most exposure and did it in an age when streaming was not common and fighting games were not "E-sports" meaning much less tournaments and developer support Also Dead or alive 4 had international competition in tournament which could have been a building block to build the community.....but after its only appearance of EVO and WCG, CGS no longer existing in 2008 and itagakis departure in 08 doa would go on hiatus until 2012......so any momentum doa4 did was basically lost......... doa5 was successful after 3 versions....and really only was good for the American scene..... context is important as the developers supported the title and there were far more tournaments in modern day when compared to 06-08 FunFact - around 09 or so when I was working at a clothing store I met NinjaCW (RIP) and Phoenix they both competed in CGS I recognized them and introduced myself..I played Phoenix on XBL when Xbox was promoting the "play with the pros"event..
In my opinion the best games in the franchise are DOA2U, DOAD and DOA5LR The problem with a lot of the pre-DOA5 game are that’s they all feel the same game. When i play DOA3 i feel it’s just DOA2 but with few more characters and just with better graphics. DOA4 is just DOA2U but with stage hazards, even theroster is just DOA2U (even the final boss of 2 is in it). The Itagaki Era of DOA just age like milk. DOAD and DOA5 are actually the games we needed after we got the same game few times on 2 xbox consoles generation. DOA6 is actually better than i remember but i really think the DLC Season Passes are just bad and too pricey (it’s worst for DOA5LR because some of them got delisted).
Very surprised with how dominant DOA5 ended up being, but given its solid mechanics and high level of exposure amongst the community and in tournaments I can see why it won. I didn't have the best impression of it personally in vanilla, but Ultimate and Last Round made it such a complete DOA experience that I can understand why people resonate with it, it feels nice to play and control. My preference is either DOA2U or DOA3 because of the lower focus on the stun system compared to 5 and 6, great stage designs, art direction, and enjoyable story modes. My perspective is mostly casual though.
I feel that the only reason why doa 6 made players stay still after the round was over is because they did not want no toxicity in there community I kinda get it because u got people out there that's willing to be extra.
A game that mechanically plays like DOA5, with the overall , 2000's aesthetic of DOA4 and DOA3 with a full roster like DOA5 and the content of like DOA2U would be the best DOA game. Imagine Diego being designed in a costume with the aesthetic of DOA4, he wouldn't look like a bland copy of Travis Touchdown lmfao.
4,Vanilla 2 with the L's castle (special limited JP only release),2U,5LR (PC) and then probably 6. Since 6 is the last it should have been way better. Tis be a shame.
Doa5lr easily over Doa6. Design wise, system wise, fanservice wise. In Doa6 the sidestepping is too simple, bc fatal rush we got lazy about learning the wall combos, fatal stuns simplifies the stun level heights, break holds kill all the fun situation, break blows should overwhelm other attack without parry first part. There are huge horizontal, unexplorable stages, consuming much memory. Break blows should have a throw option at the edge of the stages. I feel more power in the moves playing 5. On the other hand, the females looked much better in 5, eyes, faces, curves and to me these alone explains the huge percentage difference. Because ninja gaiden is the same universe, to me the only good dlc we had is mai shiranui. I am not fan of vf and tekken. If there is a future for doa, they must keep the classic artstyle, and care about the females more, then how they treated them in 6.
Itagaki has expressed interest in working with Microsoft again and the latter still has friendly relations with Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. Maybe Microsoft could act as a middleman between Itagaki and KT?
I started with Doa3 as a Child and grew up with Doa4 so I've got a bias towards 4 however I'm now 24 and after playing every game I can say iMO Doa4 5Lr 2U DIMENSIONS 3DS ( Underrated ) 3 6
DOA2U it the best, still play it on Series X. Just the right amount of complexity, perfect number of stages and outfits, and it's not packed with all the Virtual Fighter characters. Still love the end of match KO replays, not that crap like DOA5 has where they fall on the floor and crawl around.
The funny thing is that DOA6 is still being sold on Steam for $60 virtually even though it flopped; sad what DOA has become. They spend too much money on the world tour and not on the game itself.
Doa5 makes sense on top grossing its hard cuz there's so much to learn which makes it fun and it has the biggest roster in the series its a great show of skill and knowledge but I hate how team ninja is lazy with doa if they for real just upped the money making doa could be the top 3d fighters
DOA2U is the correct answer - I wonder if this is to do with how long people have been playing that pins 5 at the top. I'm weird though and prefer 6 to 5.
I've only played 2U (Played it 1st) & 5LR on Xbox Series X recently, so I'm kinda a new fan. I seriously enjoyed the hell outta both of them. Any others I should play?
Honestly the not moving after the round was to promote “good sportsmanship” which actually equals they were probably tired of seeing people teabag or corpse beat Marie Rose, Honoka, and probably figured NiCO too. They also stupidly censored the close up break blows on them when they didn’t need to. Lots of games do worse violence to underage characters and don’t have to censor it: Nakoruru and Rimururu from Samurai Showdown are a good example and can be fataled. Hibiki from The Last Blade 2 can be killed with no mercy shown to her. These characters are also all younger than the 3 trash triplets. Honestly though I think the DOA6U thing, other than a wish list hoax, probably would NOT have been the thing that would have fixed DOA6. There’s too much wrong and Sony, KT, and TN are ALL to blame for it. DOA’s future should discard everything DOA6 did and modify DOA5LR’s engine instead and pretty much dismiss most of DOA6’s story. Fix the stupid DLC polices and don’t sell me hair colours or old costumes and characters. DOA6 had no hope from pretty much the beginning and no update could fix it without it might as well being DOA7.
Doa5 is best, let be honest people hope Doa6 is just upgraded for next graphic looking level.. That all majority people want. Well if we get content like energiez, soul calibur 3 ,chronicle of sword, Also look at Street fighter 6 .yeah that. That gonna rank lot money for sure. Imagine dlc all city in world for lore alone. Plus the attempt to mod that fight. Also Team ninja just release Wu Long... Seem hype. Check it.
Visually, DOA6 is a spit in the face to 5 in my opinion, just off of the fact of how needlessly glossy character models look at times. Also, they messed up Nyotengu's win animation where she licks her lips. It was much more finely crafted when she did it in 5, and something seems like it was a result of a cut and paste job in 6 -- her animation for that doesnt really match with her face. I would definitely like to see them go back to the more stylized artstyle and vibe of the classics and Dimensions while keeping the core gameplay of 5, but forego the plot-points Dimensions delivered as a reboot. Dimensions actually does damage to the OG timelines narrative by turning Kasumi and Ayane's more remembered moments into what was essentially "The Hayabusa Show". I can never forgive them for how they handled Ayane putting OMEGA/Genra to rest in that game.
Finish the video.. Man if only we got Doa5 content with Do6 Graphic. That Rig is incarnation of haowrang from tekken 3 . Doa 5 give player freedom to choose. Street fighter 6 is new wild.. Imagine all money people pay just for Dlc for new city alone. Basically replace country flag with big city . People will try mod that. Shenmue, dang. That potential is as huge as Soul Calibur 3 chronicle of sword. Unless Capcom turned morxxn, they can't mess up that bad. Also new Team Ninja Game, Wu Long trailer out... Look lit.
The 5 was my fave too and I didn't mind the doc practice u could buy pretty cool skins one at a time for misc 2.99 compared to skin prices now it was very good if u wanted to whale for 100 dollar pass have at it just supported the game and it started with like 4 skins or more free each character. That said it was a huge mistake to release 6 as bare bones as it was like it has 200 percent less content like half the cast gone, if ppl bought skins gone and I think they resold some ,tag gone and its gameplay imo was far less complex I hated break holds was basically a free tide reverse cause meter. all break blows looked exactly the same and new characters kinda sucked like wish Miguel and lightning loli were disappointing to me. All on top of claiming less sexualiization to run of the ppl who bought those hundred dollar season passes. I have no idea what the plan was with 6
It's controversial, but I've grown to like the break blow system. I wish we could have a DOA5 as the guts of the game, but somehow implement break blows.. even if they need to rework them from the ground up and totally change how they function/their balance.
Honestly, a reboot of the DOA series might the best option right now because it could combine the best elements of DOAs 2U, 3 and 4 with 5 and 6 while erasing the storyline mess of 6.
And while we're at it... the good additions from Dimensions as well. I love seeing the canon fights such as Kasumi vs Raiden
The only thing i hated about doa 6 was that horrible nft crap in it, Despite paying for the costumes, You have to grind for hundreds of hours to get set materials, It's dumb, But yeah the story wasn't that great i have to admit, A reboot is maybe what the game needs, Without any grind mechanics and tons of cosmetic dlc's too 😉
If the development of doa 7 is permanently cancelled then a reboot would be the best option.
DOA4 for me
The reason I like DOA5 is because of how many combos there are. Over half of the combos I did in DOA5 aren’t even possible in DOA6.
It's also a million times harder on the top setting too, I felt like it was stuck on easy mod ha ha 😅

As good as DOA5 is, DOA2, DOA3, and DOA4 are definitely the superior games.
Doa 3 definitely best game in the series imo ahead of it time only thing missing was online play
I like a Lot the Dimensions
I understood like 10% of what you said lol, I'm still really new and trying to learn DOA. DOA 6 was my first fighting game so it's kinda my favorite, I keep trying DOA 5 but it is so much harder, the A.I just kicks me all over the god damn place and the damage! The lack of representation for DOA3 hurts my soul, but when you don’t have an online mode, it makes sense.
DOA5 had the most versions and it attracted a lot of new players. I think that's why. But I could be wrong
Yeah I think it is, and I think people like the gameplay and roster in that game the most. Personally I think 2U, 3 and 4 are the best. The story modes were awesome and the stages and presentation was at its best.
@@blaze6477 The games before 5 had better stages, music, and presentation in my opinion(from what I played and remember).
Can you change regions for 3.2 after downloading the US version?
@@snoopybishop If you already bought DOA3 from Xbox Live, you should delete the US version, then change the region in the Xbox settings to either United Kingdom or Japan, and then restart the console before downloading. After the download is complete, you can switch the region back to the United States.
@@sonic100X ok thanks! How will I know which version is which?

I can confirm that this works!
Just fucking do it
Also, most of the people who voted are those who mostly play on PlayStation or don't play on Xbox.
DOA will never be like the classic games again. The heart and soul behind those games was Itagaki and he’s moved on to other things
Truth@@sonic100X
While I started doa with 6 and enjoyed it, 5 is definitely my favorite since it has the most characters, stages and content overall

@@deadoralivefan12do you want to play DOA2U ONLINE. on parsec
They should remaster doa2 with online and dlc
DOA2U, DOA3, and DOA4 have been upscaled to 4K picture quality on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
You had to read the manuals to know what was going on, which I was always sad about.
soulcalibure 3 have the best charactere editor, i want creat virtua fighter and tekken charactere in DOA
I think Core Fighters being free definitely helped get people into DOA5. Combine that ease of entry with the largest roster in the series, as well as its super solid mechanics, and you can totally see how that’s the one that most people would pick.
Personally 2/2U is my favorite but 5’s definitely second.
4 is my fav. I love 5. I'm still experimenting with the other ones. Doa4 was my 1st fighting game I owned when xbox 360 1st came out.
@@ThisIsGlamboy4’s strong, I can see why that’s a lot of people’s favorite.
Favorite DOA 2u 3 5LR.
Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round
My personal favorite is DOA 4 but I can see how people prefer 5LR. It was the most complete DOA game. To this day people still fw DOA5LR heavy.
But the censorship is odd and unnecessary because other series with much worse violence allow characters who are younger than the trash triplets to meet bad ends: Nakoruru,
Rimururu, Cham Cham, Mina, and Rera can all be fataled in Samurai Showdown.
DOA is an underrated fighting game maybe for the new DOA game soon there will be less melon physics due to well people nowadays
hands down DOA 2 ultimate 🙌
DOA 5 LR for me
That's weird to me because I feel like DoA4 is goated and DoA5 was a huge step down. DoA5 on PC was straight up broken and unplayable online.
I feel alot of people saying 5 is the best missed out on the xbox exclusive games
Yeah. And one of those people was me
Then I got Xbox consoles (Xbox 360 and Xbox One) and played 4, 3 and 2 Ultimate.
Truth. The best DOA games of all time were the xbox exclusive DOA 3.1, 2 Ultimate
03:29 Perfect DOA7 game.
Art style of 5
Plays like 4 with the target blows in 5.
Overall DOA 2U was the most fun. All kinds of crazy shit was happening with the stages. I liked DOA 5 for that target system to blow opponents into.
Agreed!
Failure it's weak for sure but not zero
DOA3 being an original xbox exclusive is probably why not as many people played?
Yeah it has to be. It became backward compatible with the xbox one and xbox series. They just need to make it available for pc.

Dead or alive 4 imo is the best game and most successful...Dead or alive 4 had the most exposure and did it in an age when streaming was not common and fighting games were not "E-sports" meaning much less tournaments and developer support
Also Dead or alive 4 had international competition in tournament which could have been a building block to build the community.....but after its only appearance of EVO and WCG, CGS no longer existing in 2008 and itagakis departure in 08 doa would go on hiatus until 2012......so any momentum doa4 did was basically lost......... doa5 was successful after 3 versions....and really only was good for the American scene..... context is important as the developers supported the title and there were far more tournaments in modern day when compared to 06-08
FunFact - around 09 or so when I was working at a clothing store I met NinjaCW (RIP) and Phoenix they both competed in CGS
I recognized them and introduced myself..I played Phoenix on XBL when Xbox was promoting the "play with the pros"event..
In my opinion the best games in the franchise are DOA2U, DOAD and DOA5LR
The problem with a lot of the pre-DOA5 game are that’s they all feel the same game.
I think in your other poll that you did months ago, DOA5 won the vote as well
Dead or alive 4 is my favorite I just there were more than tag team stages.
I feel that the only reason why doa 6 made players stay still after the round was over is because they did not want no toxicity in there community I kinda get it because u got people out there that's willing to be extra.
They went woke
I feel like dead or alive is just going downhill without itagaki and im surprised peoples favorite versions of this game are 6 and 5

Well if we get content like energiez, soul calibur 3 ,chronicle of sword,
Also look at Street fighter 6 .yeah that.
Amen to DOA5!

No doa 1 or Dimensions😅😏😹
Bring Back Itagaki lol
Yo
I really enjoy DOA3 and DOA4 personally but I love DOA5 and 6 because my girls Rachel and Momiji are in it that makes those games bearable
