  • The 2023 VSCC Loton Park Hillclimb may be my favourite event of the year so far! This year's edition providing much entertainment and importantly some unique vintage engine sounds from a straight-eight Frazer Nash to the glorious AC straight-six Cognac and much more!
In this video is some of the very best VSCC (Vintage Sports Car Club) cars speeding up the historic Loton Park speed hillclimb, with frequent oversteer!
Also if you like to get a close look at these vintage beasts from the 1910s, 1920s and 1930s then don't worry - I will have an extensive walkaround of the cars in the paddock, many of which being Riley specials, Austin 7 specials, Frazer-Nashes and a few more exotic cars such as a Bugatti Type 51!
If you liked this then please take a look at the channel homepage for more classic & vintage car content, and a few hillclimb related videos already on here.
Make sure to subscribe for more similar content, and comment below your thoughts.
    Thanks for watching!

Thanks, what a brilliant video - maybe the best hillclimb video I've seen. Amazing cars and action, that Type 51 was awesome!

Would love to see the GN Gypsy engine, I understand these are inverted from their 'crank up' aircraft use, and also use air cooling, very unique.

Fantastic video Harley. Proper old engineering and lovely sounds as they are used in anger. . It’s been a long time since I have seen so many pre war cars like that, they are in the minority at most shows in my area so it was great to see so many being cherished and used. I couldn’t believe how quick that black Bugatti was off the line but it certainly shows the quality and advanced engineering of the marque in that era. I think racing cars like this have a great future; values of the “everyday” pre war cars seem low, which would indicate a smaller pool of interest, as links to family ownership and memories of them go with time. I like them, good old engineering that’s a far cry from the over complex modern cars where a plug in diagnostic tool is needed to tell you which of hundreds of sensors has expired! .

Yes they are great fun to watch, that Bugatti was stunning and by far the fastest run of the day I think

Incredible seeing these cars doing their hill climbs. What I find scary to0 think of is their track racing back in the day with their total lack of safety, even the drivers helmets weren't much more than a leather covering. Brave or stupid? They were different times.
