Wonder if software like this is available for BB10. Anyone?
It is not random, it just calculates it. Example: lets say we put 11111111111111 into the program, it will calculate the 15th digit which would be 111111111111119. It is automatically calculated so the imei would be VALID
The last digit is the check digit, it is computed by the first fourteen digits. It is redundant. and you cannot choose it yourself.

the last digit is missing because its a luhn check digit, its used as a checksum and the app generates it
amigo te cuento tengo un blackberry 8520 en la empresa personal se me habia roto el parlante, lo fui a llevar para que me lo arreglen a la empresa donde lo compre y me dieron otro mas nuevo y me dejaron el que estaba roto el parlante pero me lo dieron de baja o algo asi y queria saber si se puede cambiarle el imei o algo para que lo pueda usar de nuevo xq me dije "telefono no permitido mm6" y no me sirve para nada... @DoorDean They did not block your phone, you just need a new sim card. Look for unlocking.
M8 if u look closely towards the end you can clearly see the IMEI did not change. The one you wished for ended in 56 the one u got ended in 65. The same 1 u started with

it needs more than a software people...it needs the box that it come with..
@ricalevy Just press cancel and it will do an error, click the error video to fix it. When its fixed it should have new IMEI

@brik32544 wrong, it will work. as long as the code is generated in a certain algorithm it will work.
@ 5m 2sec...why is the blackberry logger showin an extra digit on imei? it has a 5 on the end when the 5 is clearly not shown on the blackberry smart tool! the smart tool is correct tho showin a total of 14 digits ;-/

I got a bold 9650 for sprint that I called in lost, paid the deductable and send it to someone overseas to work on a GSM. The person cannot get the BBM to activate... The esn is bad but because the phone is already unlocked for GSM, this does not affect the ability to operate... I am trying to figure out is the PIN blocked as well. If it is, how is it possible to unblock it or can it be changed?
