THANK YOU! I have the TL version, but the battery was so bloated, I needed this video to figure out how to get the other end open and shove the battery out (which was STILL a pain. I could see that even if I got the ribbon cable disconnected, I'd never get it reconnected, so I was very careful in the blunt object placement.) Also, I'm not counting on it being 100% waterproof anymore, because the outer piece cracked slightly when I removed it; I definitely recommend using a tool to pry/pop that up instead of just pulling up from the sides. But I've had this awesome speaker for quite a number of years and I'm so happy to be able to enjoy it for a few more!
So frustrating, I was successful with one that didn't have a bloated battery, but two of mine had bloated batteries and I had an awful time getting off the USB charging socket to be able to push out the batteries, ended up ruining the wire connectors on the tiny attachments to the USB unit, so now I have two trashed speakers due to the wire connections being impossible to reconnect. My advice, if the battery doesn't come out easily, forget about it! Nice job on your part though!
I brought a jbl flip 4 of Facebook market place for £20 and it is a gg model and it came with a bloated battery and I ordered the exact same battery as you did and mine came half charged so maybe you just got one that was forgotten to be charged but I have had the new battery in my flip 4 for about 2 months and it is a very reliable battery
I have a GG model, and im little bit confused, that what battery i have to buy. Is there own battery model for gg version, and another one for the TL version?
It is possible that there are slightly different batteries available. Best to take the old one out, and then order the new battery with the old one in hand. The difference will be in the battery connector.
4.0 caused erratic battery reading. I charge it full. It takes like 2 hours (charger is 5v 1.5 amp). Then I listen to songs and in around an hour, the battery indicator goes to one point (red) and it turns off. If I power up, it the battery shows 3 points again in an hour it goes to one point (red) and goes off. The cycle repeats and remember I'm not charging just restarting flip 4. I want to downgrade to 3.8 or 3.9. How can I do that?
HELP! I have a Flip4 TLmodel and it has a mind of its own! Suddenly turned on in the middle of the day and now its turning on and off randomly in spite of my trying troubleshooting with pressing Play & Up simultaneously, then trying other combinations based on some TH-cam videos and nothing seems to work. It is almost fully charged (4 out of 5 lights) when I plugged it in to charge. I unpaired it with my phone since it interfered with a serious phone call I was on. Please help. JBL is only offering a 35% discount if I want to buy a new one since its out of warranty.

could be a bad battery
New batteries shouldn't be under 70 percent for storage. I hope it is still good!
It charged completely, and it is holding up. Today i am going to completely discharge, and then charge again. So far it is looking good.
I usually break something taking stuff apart and lose something putting it together lol
what about AN model?
idk haven't seen one yet
I cannot get my battery to push out. So frustated....omg...
Open the other end of the passive radiator. Use a flat screw to push it out
Buy a new battery and I break my old battery cable while pulling it out and it is almost impossible to get it out . What a stupid design
I can not remove the old battery also, there is no way to do it!! >_
Same, i drilled the Battery out xD
Open the other side and use a fgat screw to push it out.
Çok boktan çekim olmuş.Kamera yaptığı işi göstermiyor ki.
