Your theory and calculations are absolutely correct, but using a 13 kilo ohms resistor at 220 volts will burn out the LED, Because at that time not 16 milliampere- more than 200 milliampere current is flowing in the circuit. ❤
Thank you for this great tutorial! I knew quite well how to calculate current limiting resistance for LEDs before watching this. However, I usually watch the same content over and over again to solidify my understanding. I also feel that learning from different sources always adds fine bits of knowledge to my repertoire. The whole point of this is that I don't watch mediocre videos. I always watch the best on TH-cam.
Very very helpful bcoz i am reparing my old diwali liting but it burn every time i don't know why then i watch' your video then i realise my mistek i,,,, thanks for making this video,,,🙏
Very good step by step explanation. Please do mention wattage calculations in conjunction with the resistance, as both go hand in hand for successful operation of the circuit.

I subscribed your video bcz nobody explain same like you .only color code and connection .l watched many videos. which resister need for a supply and how will it find out In this video you describes step by step thank you so much pls give reply for every person'sdoubt
Yes, LEDs light up based upon the current flowing through them. Use ohm's law to calculate the resistance on a given voltage in which it is to be used and the power formula to calculate the resistor wattage so that the resistor wattage should not be less than the calculated wattage of the circuit. If to be used in AC, parallel another LED or rectifier diode in reverse bias as a reverse voltage protection.

Ok sir i practicl with 1k resistor the Voltage Drop was 1.99V and current passing through LED was 7.9mA with 220ohm Voltage drop 1.85 volt and current was 30mA With 700K the Voltage drop was 1.55Volt current was 3 micro Ampere. This method is good to find voltage drop but Current varry according to resistor hence Data sheet would be better.
Usually led operates on about 2-3 volt if you use a 2 or 3 volt battery you can connect the led directly For higher voltages resistance is added for protection
Sir if we have 12v baatery and 3 v. LED but don't know about ampare .No multimeter . Then how we would calculate Amp.on papers .of exact calculatin of resistance .?
sir aap multivibrator circuit ke bare mei bataiye Ki isme transistor ke saath capacitor aur resistence ek saath Kaise kaam karte hai aur kis tarike se kaam karta hai.

13k will definitely burn the circuit @ 220v. In real time people use 100k resistance with diode 4007. Kindly explain
💯right
U can try with 68k and a 4007 diode ...and a 10uf cap connecting at led legs with right polarity ..
22k to 47k is good for 220 v
100k Resistance use only for safty. Because 2-3v led light is a dc base bulb not for ac voltage. But true circuit calculation showed in this video. I hope you understood this.

great video, but resistor power wattage should be considered, especially in 220V AC situation, (safety margins)✔
Thanks
It is just for resistance value calculation
For wattage calculations i ll make another video

You will find rasister wattage
