*Clarification:
In the video I mentioned mine was New/Old Stock from February 2008. In actuality it was December 22nd, 2008.
I have noticed that my modern folding knives (usually a little larger than this) tend to scare people, but this one doesn't. Mine came from Walmart, with the jigged bone handle. It wasn't very sharp out of the box, but it only took a little work on a whetstone to bring it up to my standard of sharpness. It's a handsome knife, and the spear point blades are quite useful. This might just become my favorite EDC.
Were the blades scratched by a .machine and did yours have a gap you could shine light through?
I purchased one from Walmart for 13,23 Dollars and mine have bone scales. Ty for review.
I did also! And it is the best bang for the Buck (pun intended!) ever. Seriously, if you collect traditional pocket knives, you need to pick one up while you can. The brass bolsters are developing a gorgeous patina, adding to the attractiveness.
Hello order order booking order booking hello
i bought one at walmarts about a year ago. it has bone scales. now they come with plactic scales. i was going to buy some more if they had bone. theres probably stores around the country with bone still. but theyre probably fading them out
Unfortunately, it seems that way. The wood scales are pretty good. I wouldn't have bought the knife if it had cheap plastic scales though.
@@NGMonocrom yea i was in walmart today looking at them. i did buy a buck trapper with a beautiful burl wood. really nice knife! ive been wanting a really nice nice knife lately. i bought a case sowbelly. great knife except the sheepsfoot blade is so thin when i grip the knife it digs into my fingers. its painful. i might keep it or get a different case. i want a good american made knife. but this bucks are made very well!
I bought mine at Walmart near me it was 63 dollars and the box said made in usa and the knife don’t say made in china on it did buck make usa made ones for a while
As far as I know, no. The Canoe with either wood scales or imitation stag scales has only been Made in China. But in fairness, I'm not the biggest Buck scholar out there.
I believe the Buck Canoe currently offered on Amazon with Walnut or Burlwood handles at $33 is the USA made knife.
Mine was scratched up.
Sorry to hear that. Contact Buck.
Perhaps they can do something for you.
@NGMonocrom yeah if I pay shipping. Probably going to see if I can exchange it at walmart but I know it'll be the same
I took it back and after 30 minutes walmart let me get one for the online price. Most of the employees had no ideal they price match. I really want to get another one for the price. But I love that wood one. Where did you get it?
@@ofthedawn
Ironically, Wal-Mart.
@NGMonocrom I've already oiled it up and put some flitz on it.
Damn, I love this canoe, but I'm NOT buying a Chinese made knife.👎😡
Did you type that reply on a device that was made in the usa?
@@EdwinDekker71true but if you have a choice opt for the choice.. we have shipped enough manufacturing to china.. just saying.. and yes I'm guilty too.. but if I buy made in China I look for cheapest price..
