Glad BJ came back to finish what Bobbie started and reunite with Maxie. And the fact that everyone was able to see her ghost and thought she was just as real not just someone that only Maxie could see was amazing work of writing.
BJ's return has got to be one of the most genius moves in soap opera history. This is one of the most iconic stories of the entire GH series. It brought tears in my eyes.
Yes, I remember watching Dr. Tony Jones give BJs heart to Maxi. Wow decades later I still bawl my eyes out! What a powerful storyline! It truly was genius.
Thanks to TH-cam I’m able to see these wonderful and priceless episodes and I have to agree that they were heart wrenching. I felt sorry for Tony because not only was he mourning the loss of his daughter he was also mourning the betrayal of Bobbie4
OMG Brighton!!!!! She turned into a beautiful young woman. I am so glad they brought her back to take Bobbie home with her and Tony. What a beautiful way to show closure and respect for the wonan who helped raise and love her!!! RIP Jackie/Bobbie, BJ, and Tony❤❤❤🙏😪
It's not the car crashes, the mob shootouts, or the characters marrying for the 11th time that draw in audiences to soaps. This human interaction, revisiting a trauma and tragedy that happened to specific characters but was also at the same time, universal - seeing a story that still resonates with the audience 30 years later - THIS is what soaps do better than any other kind of show. (And what most soaps, cancelled or still around, too often forget.)
The perfect end to a beautiful, moving tribute to a beloved actress and character. One of the best full circle moments I’ve ever seen on GH and soaps period. 👏❤️
Not a time anyone sees that scene with Tony listening to her heart that we all don't still get affected by it. One of GH's most iconic scenes. Those were the days, the Claire Labine days...
One of the best stories ever. Cried for days. Alan explaining to Lucy what was going on as the operation was happening. Cried and cried. So perfectly done by all cast. Second best story was robin and stone.
Same. I was probably listening to OLTL & GH in utero. My mama started watching as a teen. By time I came alone both shows were a daily staple in my home.
If BJ was a ghost, how come people were able to see her and talk to her? The writing team should have invited Brad Maule (Tony Jones) to come back so the three of them could walk off into the sunset. Just like Edward and Lila did when John Engle's character passed away, the ending of that episode was simply priceless. If memory serves me right, Edward and Lila's characters walked up the staircase into the sunset. What a beautiful and moving moment!
Because everyone was connected to Bobby and because BJ was the connection between Maxie and Bobbie Maxie was able to see her first, which it made it able for everyone to see as well.
@@sethmorgan833 I didn’t see those episodes when they first aired some 30 years ago but thanks to TH-cam I was able to watch those emotional episodes. I know Bobble did wrong but Tony should have put his anger to the side and find comfort in Bobble’s arms that would have started the reconciliation process. I also don’t agree with Tony throwing Bobble out of the house because Lucas needed both of them.
I thought Brighton looked so much like Jackie, that she was Bobbie incognito. Going back to Tony's death, it makes sense that BJ would come back for Bobbie.
this story was perfect in remberance to not only bobbie. But to Jackie and her awsome work as barbra jean. My mom me and sisters have been watching general hospital. this story has true meaning I hope they bring Brighton back. What a beauful young lady she grew up to be,.
BJ was actually Tony & Tanya's daughter. Tanya sadly died being hit by a car & eventually Tony fell in love with Bobbie & she took B.J. on as her own daughter!
brings back memories I remember when BJ stayed with Anna and Duke and Robin while Bobbie and Lucy were fighting over custody way back when...Tony was incapicated at the time.
@@airodriguez2007Tony married Lucy not long after his wife Tania died. He was grieving and Lucy took advantage because she was after his money although she did genuinely love BJ. Bobbie was Tony's best friend and also genuinely loved BJ. She wanted custody to protect BJ as she trust Lucy's intentions since Tony was preparing to divorce Lucy at the time that he went blind. The judge ruled against both women gaining custody and was going to send BJ to a foster home when Anna asked the court if she and Duke could be BJ's foster parents until Tony recovered.
I wish there wasn't an additional soundtrack added. It clashed with the music from the episodes and made it very difficult to understand some of the dialog.
It's only fitting that bj wad there to see/bring bobbie home/be there for bobbies, friends, and family. I remember when Tony died she came and got him.
Well, since Jackie Zemen really passed away, to bring back Bobbie's spirit they would have to recast her, and if they did that, they could have just recast the character to begin with and not even bother with a Memorial. Also, I think Lucas said that Bobbie hated when people would call him by a nickname and Barbara Jean would call him that to kind of mock Bobbie in a playful way. Maybe Bobbie started calling Lucas "Champ" after Barbara Jean died to honor her or something.
I get that the writers wanted to remind viewers of Jackie's scenes from this storyline in their tribute to Bobbie, so why not just show that? Were we really supposed to believe that BJ died as a little girl & grew up in heaven? Oh, and that her family figured out it was her when the last time they saw her she was like 10 yrs old? That is just a very far leap to take.
What Jacklyn Zeman did to her face at the end........those enormous cheek fillers......what a shame. And I agree with the other commenters-the music is entirely too loud. It is very hard to hear the dialogue, esp in the older clips. I see this with a lot of YT videos-there is a consistent issue regulating the volume. You cannot hear them talking so I turn the volume up, then the music comes on and I nearly lose an eardrum. It is quite irritating.
