“It’s so important when you are experiencing, depression, anxiety, etc… to connect with someone who understands you…”. Thank you Kirsten Storms. Yes, this is sometimes the hardest thing when you are going through depressive episodes and feel alone and like no one understands or they think you are exaggerating. Maurice, this is something your show helps so much with on top of showing us all the real experiences of people with so many varying backgrounds and also showing how you can also lead a successful, productive life in light of the challenges. Immensely grateful to you for all you do ❤️🙏🏼
Kirsten did say Brandon was her link when friends and family couldn’t grasp her in the struggle. Another fine point touched in this episode. I’m spending therapy sessions learning to deal with a supervisor who asks questions like when are you going to get over this. She uses words like self-pity and when I have to have her sign off on appointments, she always says she can save me a lot of money by listening to her and getting over thinking everything is about me.🤦🏾 She’s been labeled a bully and techniques used in bullying are showing effective in her learning to talk to -not tease me.
@@Otherworldly2003 I'm SO SORRY reading this!!! I can EMPATHIZE b/c I've had my share fare of those kind of comments!!!! They can be SO HURTFUL , cutting and wounding!!!! It can deeply CRUSH one's spirit further compounding "our pain" and the pain of SO MANY OTHERS!!!!!! I read a timely article, that talked about this and how ultimately it is a form of "REVICTIMIZATION!!!!"
Another powerful episode this week. Kirsten held nothing back because she knows her story will help a lot of people. She’s a very smart woman who advocates for her health! Glad she’s doing well.
Thank you Maurice for encouraging Kirsten to continue advocating for mental health! We need more voices that are willing to share the struggles honestly and the fact that a healthy life is possible!!! 💜
Kirsten has been so perfect as Maxie. She assumed the role of a legacy character and made it her own and how she doesn't have at least two Emmys by now STUNS me...
Have loved Kirsten since her fist day at GH she was just so full of energy and so amazing. I have prayed for her numerous times when she’d have to leave for medical reasons. To see her being so raw and real makes her shine brighter to me. I love you both so much and wish you so many blessings 💗💗💗
As, a woman with bipolar and anxiety who grew up watching Kirsten in xenon, I am touched by her story ,and I relate to a lot of it. Maurice is right her story will help a lot of people.
This week with Kristen and last week with Tyler have been the best I have seen and I have watched them all and even listened when you were doing them from your car. I don't struggle with mental health issues, however I have suffered through losing my only child, which is like PTSD, trying to control your thoughts and feeling and trying to show that your OK when your not. But like you say we feel like we know you from seeing you on TV for so many years, I remember Kristen when she was Belle on Days and my daughter and I watching the Brenda/Sonny/Jax story line. I have Been a soap fan (GH) especially for probably 50 years! Thank you for caring so much for sharing so much of yourselves. I am very grateful 🙏
Kirsten, you and Brandon have such a beautiful little girl .. It’s so refreshing to see a couple who love their child so much they will compromise their differences in the best interest of their child .. Love to you and Maurice 😍♥️
I think Kirsten Storms should have her heyday revive like being 20's to be in Horror Movie Films like Jeepers Creepers 3 when it gets fixed over even Jeepers Creepers 4 as long as it remains in America in Florida as well having Jonathan Breck Playing The Creeper
Maurice is right, this "State of mind" will help many young Women, but it is also inspirational(I'm sure!) to anyone with mental health struggles. As a fan of GH, I really admire Kirsten and appreciate her honesty and sincerity. Thanks for another great conversation,
What I don’t understand is why people blame you for what your characters do, you don’t write the story line. I appreciate both of you because you make me believe in that character, and are so wonderful in what you do. Thank you both for being who you are and sharing your talent with all of us. By the way I’m 61 and have been watching General Hospital since I was 14.
Kirsten and Maurice, Thank You for sharing your amazing stories of challenges and survival. Life is hard - harder for some. We all need to understand we’re not alone. I’m a 53 year fan of GH and now have so much respect for you as regular people - not just wonderful actors. You’ve given your fans so much , not just “on the edge of our seats” story lines, but now, reality as fellow humans. Kirsten, your love for your daughter is beautiful!
This was a another beautiful conversation. Kirsten was so real, so relaxed and very content telling her story. It's evident in her words and expressions that she wants to help other people, who have experienced similar illnesses, overcome and live a happy life. I hope we see more of her speaking out about mental illness. Maurice, you should be so proud of what you created here. It started off so small and on a whim. but now look! it's obvious a channel like this was needed, and who better to do it but Maurice and Sonny! Amazing. Until next week.......
Great conversation! I had no idea that Kirsten has been dealing with bipolar 1, depression or any of it. Thank you for being so open. No doubt this conversation will resonate with many. Hopefully they will get the help they need. I've admired Kirsten and Brandon's co-parenting very much. To put in the work and effort to do what's best for Harper. So many divorced parents should follow their example.
@@MBStateOfMind MAURICE_I WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT ALL YOUR STATE OF MIND EPISODES/SERIES ARE SO VERY MUCH IMPACTING, INSPIRATIONAL & EDUCATIONAL TO EVERYONE...BLESSED BE 🙏🙏🙏 LORI LEE KIRKPATRICK~SANTIAGO
My son died from suicide due to being bipolar…. And I have learned a lot just from Kirsten describing her feelings … especially how sometimes when people with a mental illness may start to feel better so they stop taking their meds… not realizing that for some, meds are what keep you balanced.. therefore necessary…
I just found out about knitting and crocheting were good for depression and anxiety. I deal with depression and anxiety which includes panic attacks. Panic attacks actually hurts physically and emotionally. This is by far the hardest I've have ever done. Thank you for these videos. I feel as if I'm not alone when I watch this show. This one with Kirsten has been my favorite episode.
God bless u all! Not only has the GH Family of actors helped me but state of mind and all of what you amazing GH behind the scenes writers have done for 60 years!!! Thank you all so much for love acceptance support and a way to look at this beautiful life as an amazing journey 🥰
Beautiful interview, when you read the part about Tyler Christopher it made me cry.. I'm so grateful you, Tyler and Kristen finally got the help you needed.. Maurice you are a blessing for doing this show.."State of Mind". I'm sure it's helped everyone. Mentally ill or not. God bless you. ♥︎♥︎
I've always loved Kirsten and I am so happy you had her on S.O.M. Bless you both for your honesty and courage, you will help a lot of people. Continued health Kirsten.
Kirsten, Maurice is right. You are an excellent spokesperson for Mental Health. Young people need to know there are people out there with mental problems and it doesn’t make them less of a person. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to take medication. You can still have a full life. Maurice having this show, State Of Mind, has brought forward so many issues that we didn’t know about. It’s been an eye opener. You forget that actors and actresses are human too. Thank you for sharing and please don’t stop. You guys truly are a Godsend. Maurice, you and Kirsten just put it all out there. God Bless y’all! Great job.
I think its a great testament to two people when they go through a divorce and come out of it the way she and Brandon did. This can make all the difference going forward, not only for their child but for each of them as well. Kirsten seems like a strong person and has obviously done a lot of inner work to get to the place she's in now. I empathize with her having bipolar and anxiety. But she seems to have found what works for her and that is so awesome! Sending love and light to you both, great conversation once again Maurice. ❤✨
This episode may have hit me the hardest yet. Kirsten's strength and persistence to find what was different is exactly what I'm going through and it gives me hope one day I'll find my answer. Thank you so much for this one!
Listening to the two of you is like hearing my own thoughts. That feeling of being alone is so powerful, especially back when no one was discussing mental health. Since discovering so many people (even famous actors that we assume must have great lives) have the same issues as I do, I feel less alone. It feels like a community. We can all relate to each other on a deeper level. Thank you, Maurice, for bringing this subject to the forefront.
I love watching State of Mind because it helps me understand that I am not alone with anxiety and depression. Thank you for having this and caring for others. I feel like you’re my friend. I watch you almost everyday.I love you. This makes me feel normal.
My youngest daughter is 29 and will be having brain surgery soon for Chiari Malformation II. She has dealt with a lot of mental health issues through the years, because she wasn't properly diagnosed. I'm hoping her recovery will go as smoothly as Kirsten's has. Thanks guys.
I can’t believe what I have learned here from this interview. I am 68 and have suffered from depression all my life. I’ve had a great therapist for 6 yrs now and just found State of Mind last week. Timing is EVERYTHING. I will say this...when some days to come get a little too hard to process, this will be my “go to” memory, Maurice and Kirsten sharing their experience. I think State of Mind is the best thing I’ve seen I a very long time. Thank you so much Maurice Benard.
Maurice brings so many good things to the table. While Kirsten I’ve always loved her too as a kid when she started on GH I’m the same age as urself While were never to old to learn more I love what Maurice has done here with State of Mind. Hope U stick around I know I’ve learned some still aways to go but alittle at a time 💜☮️
One of the best episodes yet. Thanks to you and Kirsten for showing us that EVERYONE has challenges and, like you, we can all come out on the other side.
Maurice I so appreciate your honesty with your experience with bipolar. I have borderline personality disorder and you have been a wonderful kind person to listen to and educate me on mental health issues.
This was incredible, both of you! Your willingness and ability to just be real and raw is why you are helping so many people with this channel! Thank you!!!
@@MBStateOfMind I cannot believe that you're talking to Kirsten Storms behind the voice of Bonnie Rockwaller from my favorite Disney TV series Kim possible. Props to you, Sonny.
I would first like to thank the both of you. The subject of depression and bipolar needs to be addressed because so many people within this country suffer from depression , anxiety. I am just glad that you guys have the platform to be able to discuss this because myself personally I have suffered from very bad depression to having anxiety and also having bipolar. I would also like to say thank you for discussing this issue openly and honestly. Thank you again because this was so beautiful to watch the raw feelings and emotion when it comes to this type of issue of depression, anxiety and being bipolar.
I cried through so much of this. Rewatching……. I have battled with anxiety and depression since I was a child. I’m in my 60’s….this honest talk is such relief ❣️
I love this conversation. I couldn’t survive without Xanax and yet I know people that are totally against medication. Thank you for bringing normalcy to anxiety and depression. And on another note, I adore Kirsten! I’ve been a fan since she played Belle on Days of our Lives. Thanks for having her on to tell her story. ❤️
I would love to see her Return as Bell Black Characters doesn't need Recasting visiting The Past preventing that from happening won't alter anything but fixing The Past which means fixing The Present
This is the first interview I have seen of any type re Bipolar condition. I am 62 years old and knew from around the time of college that something just wasn't right. I sought help for decades and was diagnosed with depression and anxiety early on, but found out 15 years ago I have Bipolar type 2. I see both a therapist and psychiatrist monthly...they have been my lifeline. My husband tries to understand and is compassionate when I am having a rough time, but I do not have a support system with mental health other than the two professionals. I wish I knew someone who also has bipolar so that I could have a real conversation with someone who gets it. I'm so happy to have found STATE OF MIND and will continue to view the interviews. I have been a GH fan since the 70's when I was a teen. Love you guys! Thank you for being here for all of us.
God Bless you both! Kirsten is so right... No amount of meditation, yoga or even therapy can help you when you have a chemical imbalance in your brain. These two have been through it and so have I. Don't be ashamed to take medication, do what is best for yourself! Then, meditation, yoga, therapy will actually help you keep a good "state of mind". Thank you so much for sharing your struggles with us! We are not alone.
Listening to Kirsten say stress physically manifest, I can relate. I'm open about my anxiety because it's life-long; I've lost my hair, had bells palsy 3 times, lost skin in my mouth, I could go on. But Kirsten, OMG, I've never thought I might be depressed or bipolar. Thank you for talking about this, I will seek help. You are a dear to share.
This was amazing and open and enlightening. Mental health is misunderstood and people are only finally able to open up and not be blamed, looked down on, etc. People need to realize that it’s something that they need help with and not be ashamed. Mental health issues can run through families and there is hope and help. Kirsten and Maurice have proven there is hope and help.
Thanks for being vulnerable and educating the public to decrease stigma. It makes our work as healthcare providers easier as we strive to help our patients! ❤️
General Hospital is literally the only show I watch and have since 6th grade . My mom would record for me while in school. I still record till This day so I can watch when I have time. So first of all I have always been infatuated with each character and I love following their real lives. When your started state or mind I started watching and it has seriously helped me with different issues in my life just listening to everyone else’s problems and they relate so much to some parts of my life. Truly makes you feel that your not alone.
I’ve also watched it from my childhood. I have lost some interest in the storylines over the last five years or so but I’ll always live these characters.
Kirsten needs to be nominated for a Emmy for her scenes with Peter in the hospital when she first recorded him for Mac, she was so awesome. Love you both, but Maurice please tell the writers to keep you away from Nina lol
Maurice, people like you Tyler and Kirsten talking about your bipolar is helping so many in getting help with there mental illness. Thank you all for sharing this part of your lives.
your last 2 really touched me..I see all the same traits in my daughter.. she is so unhappy with herself...she don't watch much TV I gave her this link to watch very vary so really ND touched me thank you...I just hope she watches it...I asked to please just listen she is going on 34 thank you ❤
Young lady you are so precious, I have been through this, I know what you’re talking about, I snow 86 and I look at life so different, husband died25 years ago, remarked divorce, ruff, but you and Maurice are so special I watch you every day, lord bless you.
I loved hearing all about Kristen and Brandon's relationship, from friendship to marriage to divorce and back to friendship again. This is an area that not many are willing to discuss. I remember that Laura Wright also shared a lot about her marriage and breakup and that was very insightful too to me! I love Kristen saying that she respects Brandon so much because he loves their daughter so much. That's also very insightful because love and respect go together and are actually the bedrock of marriage. Thank you Kristen and Maurice!!❤
I don’t know what I would do or where I would be without my medication. I, too, suffer with anxiety, depression, and panic attacks. And it is absolute hell when you are right in the middle of dealing with all that. I’m so glad that this platform is here for those of us who need this very important information. Keep up the good work.
WOW!! Thank you both for your brutal honesty.I am 64, and have had depression since the birth of my 2 children.I have been on meds for decades now, and I can relate to your experiences.I have been a GH fan since the days of Steve, Audrey, Ruby, Amy,….It was an escape for me, never thinking that any of the Actors would have mental health issues.I will pray for continued success for both of you.🙏😊💚💚
Such a wonderful interview. I don’t have depression and am not diagnosed with bipolar but have a brain reaction to hearing loss….singing 24/7 that will never go away. I am at the mercy of psychiatric and psychologic treatment. I’ve done every therapy and three years out am coping and feeling better. Your work is shining a beacon on all the people suffering various conditions. So important and informative. Love to Kirsten Storms and you, Maurice!!❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘
YES...you nailed it!!! I was REALLY struck by how open and just how down to earth Kirsten is!!!!!! Truly inspiring. ( And felt like I was almost overhearing a private conversation between the 2 of them, b/c their closeness as friends REALLY came thru!!! ) Sorry...I am STILL SO WOWED by it and it keeps reverberating!!!!!!
Just watched this interview Maurice. Wow and powerful stuff. Just a powerful interview and I am so proud of Kirsten. She is a survivor. I can't believe what she went through, but she got through it and on the right track. In times when you don't think you'll get through it, you can do it. Again, an interview that will help so many.
This conversation was so real and natural. There are so many people out here with similar problems and feel alone. You both are doing a great service by sharing your stories with us and allowing us to see you as REAL people not stars with perfect lives.
So true ..So happy he decided to create a voice a platform for anyone with mental illness of any kind..Luv GH and happy all cast members embracing Maurice's invites..🙏
Love-love Kirsten!!! Love her acting abilities and her sense of humor!! Love HER! She is the most real celebrity out there. A gift from God to this world.
I needed a day for this episode with Kirsten to ruminate💫so much more than a beautiful face, I am in awe of her tenacity, courage, strength to speak with such calm, clarity and eloquence with you, her dear Friend💫you are wholly correct Maurice, this episode will help many many people💫God bless and keep you both..ALL who have had the courage to sit down and speak the truth, incredible😇
I love this, I can relate with you Maurice & Kirsten, my anxiety isn't as bad today. I am on anxiety and depression meds. I am going through a situation that is really stressful. I found my fiancé earlier Friday morning. He coded he is on ventilator since Friday. We are all praying for the best outcome. I'm just asking for prayers and support. I absolutely love your show Maurice. ❤️

Only if you're comfortable. Margie, how are you doing coping with us all of this?!?! I know it must be so hard at times, and just such a long haul. 💗
"The beauty of fear." Gorgeous! Like most other emotions that are seen as negative; there is purpose, and yes, also a beauty, to them. And when acknowledged, may save a life, enhance a life, change a life. Thank you for that quote, Maurice Benard!
This was such a good conversation. I have been a fan of Kirsten Storm's since I was like 10. I can't believe how much she's been through in her life, how much she's overcome. And she's still a great actor, and she's still happy in her life. That's inspirational!
Maurice, I've been watching you since I was a little girl. My mother learned English watching GH. I've always loved Sonny Corinthos and I'm probably one of those hardcore Sonny loyalists, but I have to tell you that I love you as Maurice Bernard doing this work that you do even MORE! If you stopped being Sonny and continued this I would 100% support you. I know I am only one person and can't carry your career, but the way you've opened up and allowed others to come on the show to do the same is carrying me through some hard times. I cried watching this segment with Kirsten and she's so amazing. Relating to people is so essential as it's so easy to feel like you're just insane and that alone is horrible for anxiety. Thank you a million times over!
I admire you both on General Hospital but most of all I admire how you guys live your life on a daily basis sharing your stories with the world is saving a lot of lives God bless you both and may you continue to do his work
WOW...A Very Powerful Talk !!!! Thank you both so much. ❤❤ Maurice, Lexapro saved my life too. So please keep on telling the world that with the right help and medication, life can be worth living again when all hope had been gone. I'm a 67 yr. old woman who absolutely loves GH and all of the amazing, talented actors on it. I've not only watched all of the ABC soaps, but have watched GH since it began !!!! And I'm still watching. I'm grateful not only to all of the talented actors on it, but the wonderful writers, producers, etc. Keep on going !!!! 😘❤ I've loved and enjoyed your movies too. 😊
Kirsten Storms has always been one of my favorites, this interview was excellent! Maurice: Please bring on Steve Burton, we miss him so much and want to hear his story.
Finally watched this interview. It was phenomenal. I have so much respect and compassion for Kiersten and I’m so happy she is doing well. I wish her all the best!
Maurice, I grew up watching GH and you were always a favorite of mine. I haven't watched in MANY years, and recently found you on TH-cam. I LOVE your channel. I recently unexpectedly lost my husband and best friend of 31 years (together 41) - panic, anxiety and depression is something I'm battling 24 hours a day. I have amazing support from my family and friends, but this is unbearable. I appreciate and admire what you are doing for people. Thank you, I've been watching all of your State of Mind episodes and find it comforting. I want to hear more about your psoriasis. I too suffer w it and psoriatic arthritis. Keep up this great work, you're helping people!
Kirsten has a great attitude and is so positive. How she deals with negativity toward her was very inspiring. Especially dealing with bipolar and anxiety. Being a person who has anxiety and panic attacks-- I need to practice that and not reflect that back to myself with people who treat me badly for no reason. I know what you mean how Covid had made it all worse. Thanks for a great interview. Just love Kirsten as Maxie on GH. Have a great week ahead. 💝
Wow incredible having Kirsten on today. Thank you Maurice for having her on State of Mind. Kirsten your are such a strong woman. God Bless You Kirsten.
My wife and I watched this together and were riveted by the honesty and forthrightness of the conversation. Thank you Maurice and Kirsten for sharing your experiences, it is of enormous help to those dealing with mental health issues and their friends and families. Kirsten, Maxie is a favorite character of my wife's and myself both, because of the humanity and humor you have consistently brought to the role. It was enlightening to hear you tell your story and see how strong and courageous you are. We wish all good things to you and your family.
My Aunt recommended this episode to me and I wasn't sure why. I don't watch soap operas, I had no idea who Kirsten Storms was but after using almost a whole box of tissue I understand why. I am not a teenager or even in my 20's or 30's but I have just come out of the most dark place I have ever been in my whole life and it was almost as if Kirsten was describing exactly what I was going through. I have never felt so alone, scared, unsure of what one moment to the next was going to bring. I let myself go, I would stay in bed for days and weeks at a time. Last year I started my own healing journey and something that has helped me profoundly is hearing other peoples stories and sharing my own. This road to recovery is a never ending one with holes, bumps, twists and turns but we need to keep talking about mental illness, let's end the silence and keep this conversation going. The more we talk about it, normalize it, loose the stigma around it, the more people become comfortable with talking to others and asking for help. Just sharing your story may have saved one life today. Thank you both for being so open and vulnerable and for this amazing episode
Thank you Maurice for providing a platform so I can feel at home. Kristen Storms was so humble and motivating telling her story. I hope she takes your advice and create a platform so we have another place to feel safe. She convinced me to find a group for support. You both were raw, authentic and sincere in sharing. I have escaped as GH daily watcher for 40 years. Peace ☮️ , love and hope to all that struggle with mental illness.
Maurice, you certainly know your audience, and it seems everyone else’s audience as well lol - I’m 35 and was a true Disney Channel kid growing up. I remember how huge Zenon was and I was a big fan as well, so to hear Kirsten talk about her mental health struggles in her adult life, it really resonated with me in my adult life. I suffer from anxiety issues so hearing her talk about that aspect was what I most connected with but her whole story is such an inspiration and, as you said, I’m sure lots of girls/women will connect with her. Thanks so much for all the time, effort and attention you put into each and every one of these interviews. You really dig deep into people’s psyches and states of mind and I know these videos provide a lifeline to people that are struggling and might not know where to turn or feel their struggle is unique to them and not relatable at all. These stories show that people are not alone and what I love most is that they always have a positive message of overcoming the struggle and finding a way to thrive and take control of the the mental health issue instead of the mental health issue controlling you! Excellent job. Keep up the good work. ❤️ - Christine
I have a niece , age 19, who is still waiting for a diagnosis and proper medication. Thank you for your story, KS. What a powerful interview, Maurice. You are bringing so much depth, beyond general awareness, through State of Mind. Thank you to you, and to all of these real people, for making the time to do your podcast. The struggle is exhausting. We have each other. Shine on!❤
I always admired both of you so much for your acting talents. Now I am in awe of you both for your honesty, strength and courage to share your stories with us in such an open and vulnerable way. Maurice, Kirsten and Tyler, THANK YOU! May you continue to be given compassion, love and support from others as you wage your battles on mental illness. The three of you are HUGE inspirations to me and many of us with our own struggles. May God Bless and protect each of you. With love and admiration from NY.
It’s so good to strip down away from characters and see the real and raw person behind the story lines. Real people, real emotions, real life struggles. It just makes you feel closer to the person aside from the tv screen. ♥️
this is just what those of us with bipolar need to hear..I never thought that once I was diagnosed that I could live my life again and not have the punishing things I went through in my life..unfortunately mental illness is still a taboo, my family doesn't even know a lot about bipolar so it's very frustrating..Thank you both for shedding light on mental illness.
As a psych provider I love to hear these stories which destigmatize mental illness & treatment! Also, I have an inkling what Kirsten is taking & it's an amazing treatment for many people.
The level of honesty, and insightfulness is beautiful to see. Maurice, you have created a safe place to be, and in return your guests open their hearts and souls and we all benefit from their life experiences. Kirsten thank you for sharing your beautiful self with us. 🙏🏼💜
Wonderful interview, I love Kristen, she is wonderful . So open and honest, I love that her and Brandon have such a great relationship. Thank you both for sharing your stories. I know that this helps alot of people 😊❤️
Terrific job Mr. Benard! I love Kirsten Storms! I really enjoyed this interview I liked how you guys really got into the science and medication aspect. People need to know something is going on with the brain and sometimes mediation won't work. You are helping so many Mr. Benard. I hope you are taking care of yourself as well. I hope these conversations are not too hard on you. It can be a heavy burden at time. You have ripped away the shame of mental illness. A person can look normal but not be. Many blessings to you and your family!
OMG!!!! I loved this, I also suffer with anxiety and depression disorder and this episode opened my eyes to excepting that I'm not the only one. Having you and Kirstin share your experiences and struggles meant so much to me. I think you guys should put this episode on TV. Having our Soap stars being so open about their personal lives not being as perfect as we all think will make us love you guys even more. I truly think you guys will help A LOT of people. Please think about it
Simply stunning conversation between the two of you. I am so incredibly impressed with how real you both are, and it is so evident that as you both said "you get each other". Thank you so much for sharing your story Kirsten, and Maurice for continuing to share yours through your State of Mind interviews.
I love Maurice’s videos, “State of Mind”. He is right, I look fwd to watching GH every single night, it is my treat to me! Yet, we overlook that most, if not all actors are living through life no different than any of us! We all have ups, downs, good days, bad days, illnesses, etc…….. And yet, they are still MY GETAWAY FROM THE REALITY OF THE CRAZINESS IN THIS WORLD. Thank you GH, I love every one of you.
What a great idea to have Kirsten on your couch speaking about her mental health struggles/conquests and how she has come out on the other side! Maurice you are 100% right this conversation will help so many, I applaud your effort in having her grace us with her story. Thank you! I have always adored this young lady and I have so much respect for her in regards to all she has gone through! Thank you for being so open and vulnerable Kirsten, you are such a kind person and amazing inspiration for so many !!
I have watched Kirsten grow up and would never have thought she had a care in the world! I too suffer from anxiety and depression and so understand! You are a beautiful bright light sweet girl, shine on !♥♥♥
Always the great interviewer, conversationalist you make ur guest comfortable to speak without interrupting just love that…thank you Kristen for sharing story and ur growth. Happy Kristen is doing good in a better place…love her ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So beautiful!! My mother was diagnosed with bi polar disorder and she lived a full and beautiful life. So much courage you both showed in sharing your testimonies. The part where Kirstin talked about running into Maurice in the hall you could feel the love between them.
As a therapist who also struggles with anxiety and depression, this was so valuable to listen to. I honor you both for your honesty and vulnerability.

Kirsten did say Brandon was her link when friends and family couldn’t grasp her in the struggle.
Another fine point touched in this episode.
I’m spending therapy sessions learning to deal with a supervisor who asks questions like when are you going to get over this. She uses words like self-pity and when I have to have her sign off on appointments, she always says she can save me a lot of money by listening to her and getting over thinking everything is about me.🤦🏾

Another powerful episode this week. Kirsten held nothing back because she knows her story will help a lot of people. She’s a very smart woman who advocates for her health! Glad she’s doing well.

@@MBStateOfMind Would you like to have a conversation with me on your show? Because I'd be interested in talking to you about my life and my health.

Thank you Maurice for encouraging Kirsten to continue advocating for mental health! We need more voices that are willing to share the struggles honestly and the fact that a healthy life is possible!!! 💜
Very courageous of both of you. Thank you for doing this my son has severe depression and anxiety. I will encourage him to watch this. 2:36
So I’m no so dumb for some of the feelings I have and had and still have , and I say tuff in you that’s how I feel!
Her brother’s child is with Ashley Parker Angel’s (O-town) ex. Tiffani. She and Tiffani used to be so close. That’s how I knew her long ago.
As, a woman with bipolar and anxiety who grew up watching Kirsten in xenon, I am touched by her story ,and I relate to a lot of it. Maurice is right her story will help a lot of people.

Thank you Maurice for having Kristen on your program. She is so down to earth and genuine. I appreciate that she took the time to share her story. 🌺
I so appreciate how articulate and honest she is. Very logical and relatable.
I’m 58 and mentally ill and this one made a world of difference to me. Thank you so much for doing this weekly
Wishing you the best. Maurice and Kirsten made a great point about therapists who can’t or won’t recommend appropriate medications.

I think Kirsten Storms should have her heyday revive like being 20's to be in Horror Movie Films like Jeepers Creepers 3 when it gets fixed over even Jeepers Creepers 4 as long as it remains in America in Florida as well having Jonathan Breck Playing The Creeper
As always..Maurice continues to support those who need to be reminded we are not alone.

Kirsten and Maurice,
Thank You for sharing your amazing stories of challenges and survival.
Thank You 😊
I hear ya!!!! I'm tearing up still!!! BUT...good tears!!!!
Wow, what a great episode!Kirsten, you are incredible! Thank you so much for sharing this story! You, lady, are a ROCKSTAR! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I so admire how she and Brandon have dealt with their lives and the wonderful parents they are to their beautiful daughter.
She sure is I know her heyday will return

Thank You
Hello 👋 Julie, how are you doing?

Can't believe how fast the 52 minutes went by! Another great talk and thanks to Kirsten for her honesty.

I am without words as to the bravery and resilience of this woman. Love and happiness and serenity for all the days of your life. 🙏🏽💕

this is just what those of us with bipolar need to hear..I never thought that once I was diagnosed that I could live my life again and not have the punishing things I went through in my life..unfortunately mental illness is still a taboo, my family doesn't even know a lot about bipolar so it's very frustrating..Thank you both for shedding light on mental illness.

So beautiful thank you
Hi 👋 dear, how are you doing?
Wonderful interview, I love Kristen, she is wonderful . So open and honest, I love that her and Brandon have such a great relationship. Thank you both for sharing your stories. I know that this helps alot of people 😊❤️
Thank You
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
Thank you so much 😊

So beautiful!! My mother was diagnosed with bi polar disorder and she lived a full and beautiful life. So much courage you both showed in sharing your testimonies. The part where Kirstin talked about running into Maurice in the hall you could feel the love between them.
