Seeing this has given me faith to get the gold print from the Battle Factory, Battle Tower and Battle Hall on my Pokemon Platinum game. It’s just been so frustrating having to deal with RNG. I had an easier time getting all the trophies at Battle Maison in Omega Ruby. But then again, easier breeding mechanics, not-so difficult EV training and mega evolutions were a thing as well.
It should be clear by now that Werster has an impressive attention span. But man, the Battle Factory in both HG and Emerald is exhausting for me to play. I was addicted to it but I had to take breaks and didn't play more than a few sets at a time usually. I'm sitting here watching this slow and thinking from the perspective that I'm playing and I'm feeling the same way.
@@Q-TebGamesNL It's always in sets of 7. If you lose once, you start over. Doing 21 battles in row means you get to battle for a Silver Plate. 49 battles in a row gets you the Gold Print/Plate/Medal whatever you wanna call it. You just can't lose once, or you are back at square 1.
I didn't know there was a battle frontier, speed run category, where you didn't have to start the game with ZERO BADGES. This is a whole new experience for me!
@@MattS-eh6fw Werster haves enough influence on the Pokemon Speedrun Community to simply create new categorys, i mean a lot of pokemon running rules exist because of him and categorys have been separated or created because mostly him, after this run people could run the category and would eventually get its own tab in Speedrunning.com records, and Battle factory no manip is such a Hard RNG based speedrun but its also fun and doesnt need manip or training so i can deff see it being played a lot

Interesting that throughout this factory run Werster uses Metagross/Latios/Swampert as some of his Pokémon choices- the same team he used to beat the Emerald Frontier!
Love me some factory. I've loved using rentals since playing Stadium, just always remember wishing that one had actual good monsters. RNG still gonna pull bullshit outta nowhere, but it's much more enjoyable since there isn't blatant cheating happening in HGSS.

This is so difficult, I always end up losing after 21 battles :'( There's a time I got almost this team 18:54 (with Cresselia instead of Arcanine). The only mon who could counter it was Weavile. Guess who I had to fight in the very first battle...

Are you going to try Factory Doubles manipless if you get more early Frontier losses and want to stream for longer? I noticed JTMagicman put it on his Pastebin but of course you don't battle Thorton or win prints in doubles. I'll just say as well, I had a really good Platinum Hall manipless run with Garchomp, got 169 and then Argenta had Weavile. :/
hey werster! i was wondering what rng manipulation really implies. is there a way to reduce something like the chance of you being paralyzed by a tbolt?
Not Werster, but I hang about in his stream fairly often. There's primary rng, which is influenced by the clock, your step counter, getting a phone call, the movement of npc's, etc. This is what determines what Pokes he encounters in the Frontier. Battle and encounter rng are based on a different, much more precise set of actions + all of the above.
