I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

Gotta do a Top 10 best trophy creatures. They're completely useless. But fun to tame just for the sake of it. Like the phoenix.

@@valkyriesmilk6697 a spino or Rex can kill an alpha Rex just as easily. Even a thyla can do it. All of those are MUCH easier to tame.

@@Spiney09 definitely not just as easy my giga hits for 3-4k no mutations while my 16h 15m rex only hits for about 1.3k so no definitely not as easy yes they can kill it but not with as much ease it's the giga nessasary not really but I'm just pointing it out it's not completely useless on the island
Something nice about the wolves on this map as well is that they spawn alone, whereas the island you can’t tame them early as easy bc the pack makes it a lot harder
As a biased source, Procoptodon is still way too low on this list! A couple abilities weren’t touched on in the video.
- The fact that they’re mammals makes them a lot easier to breed in the early game, since you don’t need to worry about incubation temps. Means you can get an imprinted one relatively early.
- Their kick attack slowly inches them forwards when they do it, and since that harvests berries, you can continue to slowly jump through berry patches and keep gathering even after the roo gets encumbered!
- They’re great for killing deathworms. No, seriously. When a deathworm surfaces, they’re fast enough to do a tight turn around the base of the worm, and if you keep that up, the worm can’t hit you, while you can continue killing the worm, giving you great early access to horns
The Rock Elemental is a little bit underrated. It can easily be leveled in health ( I always level them to 60k) and can also deal high damage, stronger than an wild tamed giga. Its one of the first creatures with an ranged attack, can farm metal really good like a magmasaur and propably better than an ankylosaurus and can be a great alternative to an carcha, reaper or giga.
Mutated a mantis, crazy how good it is, especially for those gen2 knockout things missions! Really grew to respect them.
I know you already did a top 10 base locations in general, but I think another fun and very helpful series would be a top 5/10 base locations on every single map

There is one more thing about phoenix: It can literally almost burn anything in the game (golems, fire wyverns, magmasaurs etc) and also the phoenix can burn riders too so you can snipe people of thier mounts with it. Phoenix should be breedable and it would be maybe even useful than wyverns.

I love using Lightning Wyverns for taking out Titanosaurs. Their breath attack hovering above the back does an insane amount of damage in quick succession, which takes it down much faster and /safer/ than just about any other creature in the game. Only thing is because their turn radius is crap, you run the risk of getting stuck underneath it and dying very fast if you're not careful.
There was a few things I didn’t know. This is great, thank you.

The more these top 10 come out, the more I realize I play completely different from others. I guess since Aberration came out, I've come to appreciate more land base traveling than going for a flyer cause now I find it kinda boring sometimes. Probably why my top 2 personally are Maewing and Rock Drake for the best of both worlds of land and air. But when I come back to the older maps that don't have them, I lean heavily into getting a Procoptodon for quick travel and weight carry. Especially here on Scorched Earth. Having a Wyvern is nice, but to make it my top priority isn't exactly what I have in mind playing this map. I'm content with having only a Jerboa, Procoptodon for quick travel, and a Thyla for fighting and cave runs.

When you make your next video about the new Dino you might want to put where you can get bps for the saddle. People would appreciate that big time. (Artifact of the skylord on fjordur) is where I have found a couple farming it. Seems pretty common

Now this is worth a watch, also here's a little fact for you to know, you don't just find the wild Fire, Lighting and Poison Wyverns in there trench on Scorched Earth, you can also find them out in the open desert where it's not a Wyvern Trench on Scorched Earth and only Scorched Earth, but the eggs are only in the trench witch you aren't wrong about that fact, however, the wild Wyverns can be in the open desert as well, so if you ever see one outside of the Wyvern Trench, know that that's normal for them to do so, Wildcard had them spawn in the open desert for quite sometime, I hope this bit of info helps you out and have a great day and night where ever you are.

hmm for a sp play I would only say the roo and thyla out of that list, if you can make a great shotgun you can use the roo to get in a certain location in the arena for the boss fight where you can kill the boss but it is a very tricky place to get to . myself it would be rexes , argents , and yes a thyla for the caves
Funnily enough mantis are so good at ko'ing things that with ascendant clubs, they can KO a level 150 rex in less than 10 seconds.
It's incredible.
When you do the Dino's/animals/creatures who didn't make the cut you could add a text with their abilities or map usefulness 🤷🏿♂️

bro if you do abberation, the Spino is the goat for that map. with a light pet you can go toe to toe with reapers, plus it has an radiation immunity making it an excellent mount to explore the red zone
Megalos are overall better for that kind of task
in my opinion, 1 yuty, a bakers dozen of thylacoleos, 2-3 wyverns and a rock elemental are all you will need for late game and the boss
my favorite creature in ark is the phoenix because i was supposed to be named Phoenix when i was born
Lymantria are just adorable bugs. Too bad they don't have much use outside very early game.
I personnaly love to get a pack of raptors and a yuty to go deathworm hunting for some reason if the deathworm aggros on the yuty it ignores the raptors, the raptors also love to take the deathworm out for a walk

I'm sad that the Daedon didn't make it. It is very useful though. You can raise a Wyvern without a milk using the Daedon's healing power.

Never played this map, at least not in earnest. Desert didn't sound fun to me, because I have a lot of games that involves a desert. Starting to think I should change that.

Most people hate scorched earth I like it I like the mantis
I like farming deathworms for black pearls also the loot is easy to get as in desert supply drops also is there another way to survive super heat weather besides going into caves

you missed the fact about the phoenix, it can use its quick gliding firefly even if it is overloaded... but well, i do not recommend using a original phoenix in any way, they are wayyyy to high in value :D

Something he didn't mention is that the phoenix recovers stamina mid air as long as you don't move.

The Equus isnt even an honorable mention? It can harvest cactus sap like a bulldozer and acts as a mobile mortar, making it invaluable for building an adobe base. Just place it at a little cacti field with a sand harvesting doed close by and you will have all the clay you need in no time.

Rock golem can't be tamed with rockets
Am I the only one thinking this? Many of the creatures on Scorched Earth just doesn't make logical sense. With that amount of fur, there is no reason why those furry creatures would live in that environment. Yes, I understand that in deserts you have nocturnal creatures and also how cold it gets at night is and this is just a video game but still... Haha

this list is weird how is the pheonix more NEEDED than the jerboa and the morella and the argen. the golem is only needed for pvp. I mean the title is about "You Need". the argent is needed to get wyvern eggs. the lymantria is a much worse stats with its terrible stamina and health and weight
the mantis is amazing for gathering but its not NEEDed at all. the pheonix is like the most not needed dino along with the liopleurodon. even the liploeurodon can be more useful.
