  • Hey, i’m Caris welcome to my TH-cam channel where I talk about all things tinnitus! 👂🏻
In this video I talk about my persoanly experience with tinnitus spikes and how you can get through them.
Tinnitus isn't the end of a happy life and i'm here to prove it. I used to blame everything on my tinnitus and since accepting it, my life has changed.
Tinnitus has been a companion of mine for as long as I can remember. I'm now 22 years old and after many rough years with tinnitus, I have now began to live my life happily. My tinnitus hasn't gone away, but my negative response to it has.
When I was struggling to cope, the search to find reliable information was almost impossible. I have made this channel in hope to reach you at a point in your journey where you need it most.
Here i'll share all of my mistakes, management techniques and most importantly, things I wish I knew about tinnitus.
    Thanks for being here!☺️

I experienced louder noise yesterday for the first time, it lasted all day and I can say it was quite scary. One of the worst feelings for me at least is feeling so helpless and powerless, as if the symptom was in complete control of your life, and there is nothing you can do. I found it hard not to notice the noise, like I usually do. Hope I will learn to handle this one day. Thanks for your videos, you are a great support for people in distress, really. Developing a positive mindset as you suggest is the right thing to do.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's tough dealing with the overwhelming feeling of helplessness that can come with tinnitus. Remember, you're not alone in this journey. Keep focusing on developing that positive mindset, and with time, you'll find ways to manage and cope with it better. Stay strong!

I’m not sure my tinnitus really spikes out of itself. It might just sound louder because I pay more attention to it or because I am more easily bothered by it due to periods of fatigue. Curious if anyone else thinks the sounds really changes on its own? Also it helps me to say it’s just more noticeable, instead of creating the image of a sharp spiky object 😅. Either way, the relaxation is always the solution. Many thanks and take care tinnitus friends!

I think it’s definitely a bit of both there!
If I sit in silence and listen in to my tinnitus my perception of it increases making it sound like it’s increasing all on its own.
When I go out to loud environments like a pub or concert without hearing protection, my tinnitus definitely gets impacted by that head on.
Sounds like you’re on the right path with relaxation. Keep going as you are and thank you for the comment!☺️💫

Good to know. I’m definitely not going to a concert anytime soon. But when I do, I’ll have the protection with me!

My feeling is that mine changes on its own, or at least there are factors i am not aware of and cannot tell whether they are a possibile cause.

Thank you for this! I have had tinnitus for a few months now. Although its very hard for me to get used to it. That's why I am usually in areas with lots of sounds (not too loud)

I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve had such a stressful week. It sounds like your body is definitely trying to signal you to take it easy. It’s great that you’re reminding yourself that everything will be okay. Finding calm during tough times can make a big difference. Take care of yourself, and remember that it’s okay to give yourself some grace during stressful periods. You’ve got this!😊

@@LetsTalkTinnitus I'm doing ok, I just wish getting hearing aids or some help here in America wasn't so expensive.
Thank you asking. How are you doing?

@@LetsTalkTinnitus Oh, I meant to tell you about an amino acid (TAURINE) , I did some reading on it's possible effects on tinnitus and calming the mind.
I've been taking 3 , 1000mg capsules a day, and it has helped my mind relax more, making the tinnitus a bit more bearable. Have you tried ever tried it?

Can a tinnitus spike last for months?

    • @LetsTalkTinnitus
      @LetsTalkTinnitus  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Good question! Everyone’s experience with tinnitus is different but in my person experience my longest spike was around three weeks (caused by loud noise exposure).
Remember to keep stress levels down and try to stop listening in and giving your attention to tinnitus. Occupy your mind with things that brings you joy and you will begin to notice it less and less❤️
