Is hard to pull some reaction in our generation... some of us too tired and almost zombies at 50's. But the Warning is doing it. Somehow they bring back something lost. Music is life. The Warning.
That's been pointed out, I wonder if it's intentional. Yes is one of the least obvious influences they would seem to have. I was an enormous Yes fan prior to 90125.
I think it is more a statement on our addiction to technology (like our phones) and social media, making us blind to everything going on around us. At the end the guy took the proverbial “leap of faith” to go on without his connection to the internet, and survived. This MV deserves millions more views.
Bingo. So many people get hung up on the jumper surviving. It is a metaphor for leaving the fake world and waking up to join the real world. That leap of faith to join the real world is a common story telling/filmmaking theme. It is also a religious/talmudic/old testament reference to angels/watchers/Nephilim who decide to join humanity by, "falling" to earth.
Also, as it happens, while the masked guys are looking for Mr. Unplugged, it could be said that something radical needs to be done to escape the system.
Love Danny’s melodic leads. Sometimes you just don’t have to use a thousand notes to get the point across. Thank you for continuing to check out The Warning.
A brilliantly accurate social commentary, written by three teenagers (pre-teen in Ale's case) and a masterpiece of a video! The Warning were Rockstars from the very beginning!
It warms my heart watching you guys, my age, in warm appreciation for the vision DPA had to make such an incredible song at their age. That same fire of protest and 'Wake Up' comes through in many of their songs.
Congratulations! i always wonder how many others notice the number on the indoctrination pod the baby is placed into... many of us think it may be a shout out to YES and their 1983 album _"90125"_ which was released two years after Yes broke up... you can find a few links to that album in its entirety... not really a music video as it is only the music but you can also find OMVs for some of the songs on that album... the OMV for the first song on that YES album also has a similar theme as this video with "culprits" and "recovery agents"... the video and whole album is a great trip back in time... so back to this original video by DPA/TW... yes, the imagery is awesome and extremely thought provoking... there's a lot being said in there... one of the main things is about taking a leap of faith and leaving things behind... this is absolutely a track about social media, technology, and how they affect people in ways they don't know or understand... in this case, everyone is so wrapped up in their devices and social media that they cannot see what is going on around them... thus the blindfolds... notice, too, the colors used... when someone takes their blindfold off, the world lights up in the prettier colors of reality... the video was nominated for and won numerous awards back in 2017... - LA CINEFEST Semifinalist 2017 - Feel The Reel IFF, Audience Award October 2017 - Official Selection Austin Music Video Festival 2017 - Best Music Video Nominee Pantalla de Cristal Festival 2017 - I Filmmaker International Film Festival Official Selection 2017 - Best Script / Narrative Music Videos Pantalla de Cristal Festival 2017 - Best Music Video Around Films International Film Festival Barcelona April 2017 (not listed in any specific order) anyway, great reaction... yes, you're not the only one to be totally shocked at that one point in the video! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
First time I'm watching you guys, nice reaction! I see you've done two versions of Disciple, which shares themes with this one, in that we're all online and being manipulated, somethimes subtlely and sometimes overtly. Other songs of theirs in this vein include Z, Kool Aid Kids, Error, and Revenant (do this one after the others); I know I'm missing some in that list.
This is the video I was going to next suggest to you. No need to now. Great choice. And great reaction guys! I'll add one thing to what you said: that lead solo of Dany's is I'd say one of her best all-round ever. Rather amazing, since this was still so early in their career.
Glen & Adrian - thanks for this reaction. First off, really nice presentation of both the video and the lyrics below. Clearly you put work into this and it shows. It’s great for us watching. As you may know this is the first song and title track for this album. As Pau said at the 2017 TedX presentation, this and the rest of the songs talk about their concerns about the world they were born into as the new generation and the 21st century blood. I’ve watched all your TW reactions and this was another one done well. Thanks guys!
XXI Century Blood is such a good song. As you said Dani is playing real complicated riffs while singing without missing a beat. In between song they're very casual. Compared to their other concerts now they're much more focused between songs. Having an audience instead of mirrors would help focusing lol. These young women's personalities really shine between songs so hopefully they keep putting these informal sessions as they get older
Or they should read it... it is a message on their cell phones from The Warning, breaking these people out of The Matrix. The text messages are all lyrics from the song. 👍👍👍
This is one of many examples of reacting to the music video rather than reacting to the song. If you want to react to a song, then you should watch/listen to the lyric video. Remember that most of the time, music videos are the director's vision and interpretation. Not the artist who wrote the song.
I don't know... I felt very condescending to you today, approving but with the condition of their age. All good, very pretty... for their age. I don't like it, I don't share it, but everyone has their own opinions. Thank you and please keep going with your reactions to TW. Greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
We admire them and their strength, regardless of their age. And we don't mean to be condescending to them. They are great musicians! We will keep going - we like the Warning.
I'm pretty sure I it's coincidental. I've never heard them mention Yes and nothing really fits. But good catch. I've seen other people notice it too, but I don't think it's intentional
It took this long to notice they shout out the band YES at 3:35 😁 😆 "90125" is one of their albums.
That's really obscure! Are we sure it's not just coincidence?
The guy survived as it was for metaphorical reasons .
I think it is more a statement on our addiction to technology (like our phones) and social media, making us blind to everything going on around us. At the end the guy took the proverbial “leap of faith” to go on without his connection to the internet, and survived. This MV deserves millions more views.
That's the way I interpret it.
The building jump represents jumping into something that scares you, outside of your comfort zone, and finding out it doesn't destroy you.

Leap of faith into reality 💪 The Warning always delivering the message loud and clear.
Also, as it happens, while the masked guys are looking for Mr. Unplugged, it could be said that something radical needs to be done to escape the system.
Lo que el tipo que se quita la venda virtual hace es; "Un salto de fé" hacia lo que desconocía... 😎🤘
If memory serves, the mv won three awards at seven film festivals worldwide. Paris, LA, etc. And at their age...incredible! 🙌
Love Danny’s melodic leads. Sometimes you just don’t have to use a thousand notes to get the point across. Thank you for continuing to check out The Warning.
She takes after David Gilmour.
Thanks for your reaction. A perfect first music video for 3 sisters who have plenty to say and properly named their band, The Warning.
A brilliantly accurate social commentary, written by three teenagers (pre-teen in Ale's case) and a masterpiece of a video! The Warning were Rockstars from the very beginning!
It won several awards as I have read.
Love this video. The girls did an awesome job there.
They're so young on it that the visual context scares on contrast.
Good... good video.
WOW amazing talent at this age
Taking the Leap, You Will Survive without the "Rush" of Everything shoved in your face, Both Good and Bad!
⚡✌️🤘⚠️⚡ Rock On TW Army!⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡
Way before there time, in writing and playing both.
This song is amazing..these girls are ahead of their time …and Danys solo is amazing 🤘
It warms my heart watching you guys, my age, in warm appreciation for the vision DPA had to make such an incredible song at their age. That same fire of protest and 'Wake Up' comes through in many of their songs.
Great reaction, lyrics and video are great

Gracias por seguir reaccionando a The Warning!
The Warning = Alejandra (Ale) 🎸🎤+ Paulina (Pau) 🥁🎤+ Daniela (Dany) 🎤🎸 Villarreal. Three talented Mexican sisters. !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Excellent my friends!!!

I think when the man stands up after falling doesn't mean he lived but more of the line. Once you begin to see you can't unseen
My friends... The Warning "Black Holes" LIVE/Dakota Bar (composition of Pau) please

The guy is disconnected while reading posts with parts of the lyrics 🙂 Apparently a message he should not read.
Or they should read it... it is a message on their cell phones from The Warning, breaking these people out of The Matrix. The text messages are all lyrics from the song. 👍👍👍

Yes! We were asked specifically to react to the music video itself, and not just the song. The requests were very explicit about that.
@@glennandadriansrocktalk "Music video." And you reacted to the video 95% of the time and 5% to the music.

@Adrian - what is that instrument behind your left shoulder? A sitar or a lap steel?
It's a sitar.
i tkhe the ending as the "masks" are removed, they've shown us, and it's US, the observers who must admit and do , or do not,, it's up to us..
