Heyo question for joe would you rather be called joe or stampy oh well ill stick with Joe for now just wondering if you'd ever play apex duos or trios with Jack and oli also are you doing anything solo or is it only the bonus points?
I actually have never played GTA before, and had the same perception as Oli going into this podcast. It was great to hear how there are plenty of positive qualities in the game - the mission variety seems really great, and I love the idea of in-game radio stations! Great to see Jack on the show - he's always a joy to see every December, too!
@@Adam-oy6nc Oh I definitely haven't! It's just with this game being as big as it is, I guess I'm just surprised to have not played it. Always happy to learn about tons of games on this show, hopefully same with you!! :-)
Didnt Joseph say on his stampy channel "oh don't get it wrong there will never be violent games and we would never use bad language but the themes may be slightly more adult"? But I personally think this is a bit more than "slightly more grown up". Ive not got a problem with it but I did just think that he'd stick with his word but as I said not a provlem
@@infinitehexington It’s pretty obvious considering GTA V is the highest earning piece of media ever made and the second most sold video game ever made only behind Minecraft.
The way that Joe explains the Prey-Doom chain makes it sound like a bizarro divorce agreement that forced the two to stay married forever 😂 Also, I’m super tempted to buy Dredge and play it before the podcast since that’s been a game I’ve wanted to play anyway, but idk if I have the budget for it 😢 We’ll see 🤞🤞
First of all, this was a great episode and I am glad you guys were able to rediscover such an important game that is still relevant to this day. Secondly, a question, as Brits, do you think that GTA V is an accurate depiction of how the average British person views America/American culture? (Speaking as an American) Lastly, I believe the event that Jack observed in online mode was a trend that took place back in 2020 known as the alien wars. It was basically where players would dress up in either purple or green alien suits and beat up random players or each other. Thanks for another great episode and hope you guys stay well until the next one!
GTA 5 feels like it has been out forever and I still have not played it all the way through (I know embarrassing). I only played it for about an hour. One day I will complete it. A actual all time great game. I have seen so much content for it. It's spot on the list is solid, valid points from everyone.
I think in my experience what I get is GTA V isn't really trying to be some really smart satire or critique it's just very like silly and cartoonish and dumb and I love it. It's just a fun time and a fun story and all the characters are obviously terrible people but they're in a terrible world and their dynamics are fun and endearing and entertaining to watch and play as so I think controversial opinion it is good. I have played possibly 1 hour of online
A question for Dredge: How much did you two enjoy exploration? I was pleasantly surprised by how much there is to find on the map. To me, it felt like what I wanted but didn't get from Sea of Thieves.
"We're finding that guests pick (the popular games) anyway." Boy, I remember the day when Ty the Tasmanian Tiger was released and took the world by storm!
I got the game for Christmas when I was 13 back in 2013, because I had watched a ton of TH-camrs play it and have a great time. I was super scared that my parents would stop me from playing it once they saw all of the adult references and scenes throughout the campaign and such, so after completing the intro mission, I immediately jumped to GTA Online, and have never played the campaign since lol. I still play the online from time to time to this day though.
I'm late to watching this discussion however I would just like to add how I think it's interesting that GTAV has had such a massive impact on the industry as a whole that it's part of my A-Level media studies syllabus and I had to study the game/its impact for my exam last week.
24:23 Pretty sure that's the Cayo Perico heist, the best paying heist for a solo player. You take photos and such of what you can steal, and then you do preperation work, stealing equipment around the city. Most heists follow a similar route. Scoping, preperation, and the actual heist. On the topic of heists amd missions, the older content hasn't been changed much, and is lazy/boring. The newer stuff is *slightly* better.
I would love to see you play CrossCode on this podcast. I feel like the game would be a good fit for the bonus points. In my experience the game is not very well known and is under-rated. It is very reminiscent of older Zelda games, with them being a big inspiration for the game. The game is a JRPG, but CrossCode’s story is not like other JRPG stories. In CrossCode you are not the chosen one and you are not fighting to save the world. I cannot say much about the story because it is one of the best parts of the game, but it is a very good story in my opinion. The characters are incredibly well written and feel alive. The combat is also good, it is done in real time. The combat is challenging (in a fun way) but if you find it too difficult you can turn down the difficulty in various ways. The game has great dungeons with lots of puzzles. The game may have some grinding, but it shouldn't be too much. The grinding could probably be avoided almost entirely if you do a good amount of side quests as well. Overall, I think that it would be a good game for the podcast. I'm Sorry if I rambled on a bit, I just really like the game.

I've always played the single player I just never liked the online mode due to all the rubbish I have seen and it's my opinion.
Hey stamps
Stampy, you should do a video on tf2
