I would like to see you do a N Scale kit - kit bash. I absolutely love your work - your the best kit builder I've ever seen. You should do a video box set. Or even a book or magazine.
I would love to have a magazine with your ideas for details.
I don't see the need for more details as some have suggested. Any model railroader would love to have your buildings on them. And believe me I've seen a lot of lay outs that need help.
I would like to see the lay outs of some of the people that are subscribers. To see how much of your input is used on theirs. I myself haven't started yet. Just collecting stuff for one.

Really enjoyed this project. The only downside for me is when you were showing the corrugated paper roofing from KC's Workshop and I thought to myself .. "Oh yeah. I have that in O scale ... followed an earlier video from Jason and got some ..." .. and realized if someone pointed a gun at me and said .. Hi Jason, a word to your "Best" stains you are using to prep the wood. There are powder stains on the market which can be mixed up with "methylated spirits" to solute them, come in all kinds of colors. Maybe the lack of surrounding scenery accentuates the effect but the complete lack of square, regularly shaped rows of buildings is going to give this layout a completely unique atmosphere. It took me a while to get into your way of thinking and, I must admit, I didn't immediately understand why you modify so many great looking kits. Now I get it though and it's working beautifully.
The diorama idea should be perfect for scenery with such high levels of detail. I'd be trying to do that with many "chunks" of the townscene, letting you work on the bench, rather than reaching into the layout. Bed the structures into the dioramas, then the dioramas into the layout.
My main interest would normally be the railway infrastructure but, with this layout, the actual railway is going to be a small component of a much wider scene. 👌😁

Jason, what an awesome build. You have captured that "run-down" look so well. They look like that are so old, but are newly made. I love it.
The detailed parts certainly add that extra character, and bring the building(s) to life.

Great project Jason, love your finished work of your builds! The new details from FOS look great.
    Just a suggestion !
Being in the building industry ( an old Plumber) the detail on your trusted roof at back bothers me, You've missed the roof batten's that hold up the corri. iron roof and fixes to. it would not matter on most roof builds you do as you do not see them, but you have parts of sheets missing (blown off) so the battern's would be seen and having them there gives more realism to the scene.
You explained the way supporting beams and load bearing walls very well.
Keep up the great videos Jason, they are very inspiring and informative to us modellers - Kind regards Colin

I often break proper construction rules because I want a certain look and either I have to break them or figure out all the engineering and I just want to put this wall next to that one because it looks cool. I grew up with FSM casting details and SS LTD etc. 3-D is the thing now. Yes, cleaner than metal or resin. Entire models but that is almost cheating too much.

When you were building the open deck, with all your miniature construction techniques, I thought it was going to represent new construction. As someone who owns a few 3D printers and a laser, I can say that you're tempted to use it for everything, but there's a degree of guilt that comes from doing so (at least for me), and there are times where it's more fun to do things the "old fashioned way".
