  • Heyy y'all!! 👋🏾👋🏾 I'm finally here with a well overdue updated Silk Press Routine! If you're not new here not much has changed, I've incorporated a few new products into my routine but for the most part I'm loyal to my tride & true products for the most part! I've recently colored my hair and aside from keeping my hair healthy I've added in a few extra products to make sure my hair is staying moisturized now being color treated.
    Hope you all enjoy! Let me know any new products you've been loving that I should give a try! 🤎

    Absolutely gorgeous hair! I'm trying to get like you! lol
    I finally caved today into buying cecred cause pretty much every review says lots of items are great so I'm super excited to try it myself. Once I manage to get breakage in control, I will be unstoppable! lol
    Anyway, thanks for such a great video!

    Shell talks hair, and the Olaplex website says you should leave number 0 on for 10 minutes before adding number 3 on top . I just bought them yesterday, so I can't wait to try it.

      Oh great, hopefully you love them! I typically only leave No. 0 on for about 5 mins before I go in with No. 3.

    How long is your wash day from pre-treat to finishing oil?? Im so used to having to set aside at least 4 hrs per wash day being a loose natural and i cant do it anymore - especially as a new mom. You make this look super easy!

    Wait - so I thought you're supposed to clarify your hair first before applying the olaplex treatment? Doesn't clarifying your afterwards remove the benefits of applying the treatment prior????

    • @ZeneseAshley
      @ZeneseAshley  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No. You use the products basically in the number order. You start with the treatment (No 0 & No 3. You don’t leave the treatments in, that’s where most people mess up and damage their hair. You have to wash it out. Then you follow up with shampoo and conditioning.

    Your hair is beautiful and that color! As a straight hair natural, do you not like your curls or don't know how to manage it, that's why you decided to be a straight natural? Just wondering, and how long you've straightening it?

    • @ZeneseAshley
      @ZeneseAshley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      I used to wear my curls out a lot more when I was younger (even just a few years ago), it’s just as I’ve gotten older I love the convenience of just having my hair straight. I have a few older videos here on my channel doing my hair curly, doing twist outs,etc. As of lately it’s really just become a convenience thing.

      Typically yes, because I wash my hair about every 3 weeks. If not every wash, every other wash.

    How’s the color going? Have you noticed any differences or done anything differently after getting the color?

    • @ZeneseAshley
      @ZeneseAshley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I love it girl! I can’t believe it took me as long as it did to do it 😂 I haven’t noticed too many differences, I think I’m just a lot more cautious about my hair getting/looking dry since my ends are so much lighter and spotting split ends a lot easier bc of the color. But so far so good! 🥰

    • @ZeneseAshley
      @ZeneseAshley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I like them! I actually have a review of the straightener & heat protectant here on my channel. Only con I feel like the straighting brush doesn’t get my roots as flat & straight as my flat iron. But overall pretty good!

    Love your hair. I have been on my hair journey for 18 months and my hair is now just past my waist. I have been using mostly DIY organic Ayurvedic products. I looked up the deep conditioner you are using and the 2nd ingredient is alcohol. I don't use any products with alcohol in them on my hair.

    • @rohlehr
      @rohlehr 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cetearyl alcohol is a white, waxy mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohols, which are natural fatty acids found in coconut oil. Not to be confused with rubbing alcohol.

    • @cbchang6200

      @@rohlehr I prefer to use No alcohol in my hair of any type. My hair is longer and healthier than it has ever been. I will stick with what I have been doing.

    •  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do you know what classifies something as an alcohol? There are different types and as the person before explained, this isn’t rubbing alcohol but most likely emulsifiers. They are actually moisturizing.

    • @cbchang6200

    My hair is the healthiest it has ever been from using DIY Homemade Organic products. I don't want to damage my hair by using heat on it. I want to straighten my hair but I have to find a different way. I think roller set is my best option.

    I don’t get the point of making sure you guys put heat protecting in it if a flat iron and hot tools are still going to damage your curls. You’re a straight natural so what’s the point of putting protectant on it. Protectant is suppose to protect your hair from getting damaged and damaging your curl along with your texture and all of that’. I don’t see a point of using protectant if your a straight hair natural 🤷🏽‍♀️

      Because although I am putting heat on my hair that doesn’t mean I want completely damaged and unhealthy hair. It is very much possible to apply heat on your hair but it still be HEALTHY.

    • @tatianaprettyy
      @tatianaprettyy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@ZeneseAshley I was wondering because I couldn’t tell if it was heat damage because your curls are very loose and hanging. Tbh, thats how my hair looked when I was transitioning and also had heat/color damaged. But after it all transitioned out it became thicker . I was only wondering. You learn something new everyday sis. 🌸

    • @ZeneseAshley
      @ZeneseAshley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      @@tatianaprettyy my hair is very thick, I just have a pretty loose curl pattern (3b). But yes, heat protectant is an important product to use weather you care about your curl pattern or not it’s going to help maintain the health of your hair which essentially plays into retaining length which you can see I am able to do seeing the length of my hair.
