Very happy to hear Singapore accent again ;) I just started investing in january/february this year, mostly in NYSE/Nasdaq tech stock, you know the rest of the story (im -30% to -40% on all my positions right now). I also have the OCBC Lion HST ETF but this is also down a lot the past 2 months. Is it a good time to buy more HS Tech ETF? Is Chinese tech recovering, or just trading sideways? Thanks a lot!
Hi, welcome to my channel! I am sorry your investments are currently down. I would say try to look at a longer period of time. When I first started, I lost quite alot for the first 3 years of my investing journey. I was trading in and out of stocks and that make things worse. I found out if we focus on good companies with strong balance sheet and good prospect, over the long term, they tend to do well. So nowadays when I invest, I intend to hold for at least 5 years on a position
Hi Stanley. I think the law only states company must declare the names of the investor if they are government official and declare if they are owned/controlled by government official. Don’t think they are saying it cannot be owned.
Hi, it seem there are two sections to this issue. For "commission-indentified issuers", they must disclose they do not have any foreign government ownership. But for "commission-indentified foreign issuers", they would need to disclosure the information if any. I have to say, I am not quite sure what is the difference between a commission-indentified issuer and a commission-indentified foreign issuer.
