China stock market has underperformed over last two decades , how will it be different this time from the previous? The only factor that has been talked in this video is the expense ratio, cheap is not always good , what if it’s a value trap? What about downside risk protection of these different ETF, so many things to consider, like government regulation/overreach in corporates, transparency in financial statements, which has hampered the Chinese stock market for last two decades. If you see the graph of China A50 vs Nifty 50 ( India top 50 companies) , I can see a stark difference when it comes to performance Chinese stocks has given -9% return over the last two decades compared to Nifty50 which has grown over 2680 % over the same period. So my question is when China is much more advanced and modern and very dynamic economy and yet it was not able to beat India stock market returns how it can even compare it to the US. In my point of the huge difference is because of the highly regulated stock market in China. And the government there doesn’t consider it as an investment avenue and rather scared about foreign institutions take over of their companies .
Hey guys, may I ask whats is your geographic percentage diversification? Im currently 95% singapore 5% china via nasdaq ADRs. Planning to add tracker fund of hkg this year.
Thanks for your insights and generous sharing. May I know if liquidity is easy if invest in msci China etf 2801? I found its AUM and shares are much lesser than tracker fund 2800. What do you think it might be better in term of performance and liquidity? Thank you very very much🙏
@The Fifth Person reason i am asking this is I dont see much ppl talking about this new etf as compared to those listed in HK or US. Wonder if the fifth person has any thoughts regarding HST as compared to other hang seng index etf?
The Lion-OCBC Securities Hang Seng TECH ETF has a higher expense ratio at 0.68% p.a., compared to 0.25% p.a. for the iShares Hang Seng TECH ETF. It makes sense to go with the latter for what is essentially the same basket of stocks.
Thank you for the great sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hihi, wish to check if buying from syfe wealth platform kweb also liable for estate tax?
Yes, estate tax still applies. But you can also pick the Irish-domiciled KWEB listed on the London Stock Exchanged to avoid U.S. estate tax.
This is a very good video. What are the yields on these funds and are they meant for income investing ?
Can I invest in china ETF and iam indifferent country? And how?
There are China ETFs listed in the U.S. and Hong Kong. You only need a broker that has access to these markets. Hope this helps!
Hey guys, may I ask whats is your geographic percentage diversification?
Im currently 95% singapore 5% china via nasdaq ADRs. Planning to add tracker fund of hkg this year.
We have 20% allocated to China.
Are there similar free research websites for SG and H companies ?
Yes, we'll share them soon!

We can't predict which fund will perform better. Tracker Fund is a larger ETF and has much better liquidity.

Hi, what’s ur thoughts on HST since you talked about hang Seng tech etf listed in hk
We think it's a good way to gain diversified exposure to Chinese tech companies.
@The Fifth Person reason i am asking this is I dont see much ppl talking about this new etf as compared to those listed in HK or US. Wonder if the fifth person has any thoughts regarding HST as compared to other hang seng index etf?
Which particular Hang Seng Tech ETF are you referring to? There are a few.
@The Fifth Person ohh HST listed in SGX as compared to those you have mentioned in your video such as KWEB etc

Hello! What are you thoughts about FLCH? Expense ratio seems decently lower and the holdings are quite diversified too l
FLCH is domiciled in the U.S. which makes it less tax efficient. Its AUM of $107 million is also very small.
Are Hong Kong ETFs more tax efficient than Irish UCITS ETFs for a typical Singaporean investor?
Yes, Hong Kong-domiciled ETFs have no dividend withholding tax, compared to 15% for Irish-domiciled ones.
Stashaway got clobbered by KWEB. 😂
退市制度不改变,中国的股市就是一把镰刀,能在中国股市赚到钱的少之又少
YINN
you are far better off owning 3067hk instead of kweb
