She should learn from Jinjer, it doesn't/shouldn't be screaming constantly. And Jinjer you can understand the words. The band is good, song decent, just could be better with more of a mixture.
It's nice to see a black/extreme metal band smiling and having fun rather than just grimacing like they are taking a constipated crap through the whole thing. These folks are enjoying themselves. Kudos.

Prokopton is really a great album. Heavy yet so melodic. This band really needs more recognition. One of the best Metal albums of 2019, and it's definitely in my top ten list. And thanks Aephanemer for making a music video of my most favorite song from the album. Cheers :)

Fantastic band, both studio and live. Marion Bascoul's growl is great and powerful. They deserve Napalm Records, and Prokopton deserves Napalm Records either: awesome album. Wish this band the best!

I think that its because of the genre that the band plays. Like, they're pure metal. Something like Nightwish is different, they're more fantasy-like So that justifies I think
for me the best female fronted metal band. Delain's new single is a joke, Battle Beast plays garbage now, Epica live was a mistake last time I saw them, Nightwish's new material didn't blow me away, Arch Enemy are a bunch of hypocrites that don't pay photographers. Unleash The Archers is cool but Aephanemer is more in my taste and Anneke van Giersbergen while being the best girl in metal doesn't play anything spectacular now in Vuur
I look forward to the day when female-fronted bands are just called "bands". Aephanemer is a step in the right direction. They don't make a big deal out of the fact that some of the musicians happen to be a different gender.
@@afreen-b1k I have to disagree with you there, calling a band "female-fronted" has some value as the gender of the vocalist will always matter. Both in clean and harsh vocals, men and women just sound differently and it is possible to prefer one or the other. It shouldn't be a big deal just because of gender, that's true but the distinction matters nonetheless. And since female metal vocalists (especially in extreme metal) are a lot less common than male ones giving those bands a special label is the obvious way to go

Saw them live for the first time last night and was truly blown away. They were having such a good time on stage, connecting with the audience like not many bands can these days, and absolutely nailed every song. Had the pleasure to briefly chat with Marion as we were leaving the venue and she was super friendly, so down-to-earth and had so much gratitude for the fans. The whole band is a real class act, I hope I'm lucky enough to get the chance to see them again.

We had so many great albums in this year we got a new amon amarth sabaton and among this competiton i never thoght that a band from whom i never heard before will deliver the best album of the year!
Contagious melody, song reverberated in my head for a day. Awesome vocals. If all metal was like this I would have to quit my job to listen it all. I also like that the song is powered by wind-energy.

J'ai du l'écouter au moins 15x de suite. Puis j'ai decouvert l'album et là j'avais'un sourire niais du debut à la fin. Je n'en croyais pas mes oreilles, ma révélation 2019, et de très loin! Vous devez vous sentir chanceux d'avoir été signé par napalm, mais moi je crois que ce sont eux les plus ravis! Continuez comme ça les amis et vous irez loin, très loin! Napalm will sign anything it can, like most "mainstream" metal labels these days. I get it, it's a survival strategy in a world forever changed by the Internet. But if a certain label signed a band you used to know exactly what to expect. Peaceville was like that, and Relapse, and Earache. So were smaller labels like Avant Garde, Hammerheart, Adipocere, and Napalm, who single handedly brought up the Austrian black metal scene. Record label identities are largely lost nowadays.
Just discovered this song some days ago and I already know this will be one of my favourite songs ever. The fact that they are female fronted surprises me, but makes me even prouder to be a female metal guitarist. Already love this band ❤️
Discovered this band a few days ago on bandcamp so it's a nice surprise to see them here on Napalm Records! I gotta say I had no idea the singer was actually female. That's really awesome!! She has a great voice!! Also love the symphonic metal elements in their music! :)

Just got into this band recently but I disagree with people who said the vocals have issues/can't understand. I can completely understand them after reading the lyrics while listening to it. Her delivery and tone is very unique. The instrumentals are of course impressive but her vocals make it sound a lot more epic and intense.
One of the most breathtaking tunes of the year, from an equally thrilling album. The scenery of the video is therefore perfectly fitting! That twist in the video is awesome!

Watching their videos you don't really appreciate how hard this is to play at this speed. I've been working on a Bloodline cover (guitar, vocals and bass) for quite some time now and it's so much work to become this good. It is really fulfilling though. :)

Super le nouveau clip, on sent qu'il y a plus de moyens mais ça reste dans le même esprit que les précédents : sobre, pas prétentieux, mais efficace et dans des paysages impressionnants. Cette fois on a droit a une petite histoire en parallèle. A-t-elle une signification particulière ? En tous cas ça fait bizarre de vous voir sous Napalm, j'ai suis presque triste d'avoir perdu mon groupe de proximité préféré, le talent local toulousaing caché méritant sa place auprès des plus grands du genre. Fini les concerts à l'usine à musique on dirait ^^ Bref bravo en tous cas, belle ascension, méritée ! Et je ré-itère : Marion, meilleure voix féminine du milieu, et l'une des meilleures tout court. Une signature chez Napalm, c'est une super news pour eux, mais ça ne t'envoie pas systématiquement au Bikini ou même au Métronum, hélas. Jinjer et Infected Rain aussi sont chez NR, avec des tournées aux US, et ils se retrouvent quand même à l'Usine quand ils viennent ici...
@@chrisstargazer6529 Pas faux, mais je vois un plus grand potentiel chez Aephanemer dans le sens où c'est hyper rassembleur : c'est énergique, épique, ultra mélodique sans être pompeux, ça tente des choses, c'est cohérent, constant... Et dans un genre relativement populaire. Je pense que la recette va vite trouver des amateurs avec ce vecteur de visibilité qu'est Napalm. Je n'aurais pas parié sur les groupes que tu cites, mais mon point de vue est peut-être biaisé par mes goûts. N'empêche que sauf erreur, la dernière fois que j'ai vu Aephanemer c'était déjà au Metronum, et il me semble qu'ils n'avaient pas encore signé. Tant qu'ils ne finissent pas au Zénith moi ça me va parfaitement comme ça ^^

Après tout des groupes comme Ensiferum, Wintersun, Amon Amarth ne passent pas non plus au Zenith et pour ma part je trouve ça pas plus mal car c'est moins personnel comme salle (pour y avoir vu Motörhead). En tous cas après avoir vu Finntroll au Bikini puis au Metronum, je trouve l'acoustique bien meilleure au Metronum. On y entend beaucoup mieux les mélodies, et pour des groupes comme le votre, c'est important. Hâte de la prochaine date d'ailleurs !

I like all of your work. But "The Sovreign" is an epic piece of melodic death metal that deserves to live forever!
Contagious melody, song reverberated in my head for a day. Awesome vocals. If all metal was like this I would have to quit my job to listen it all.
I also like that the song is powered by wind-energy.

L'album entier est une pure tuerie. Je vous ai decouvert cette année seulement en voyant le clip de bloodline et je suis tombé sur le cul tellement c'était bon. J'ai du l'écouter au moins 15x de suite. Puis j'ai decouvert l'album et là j'avais'un sourire niais du debut à la fin. Je n'en croyais pas mes oreilles, ma révélation 2019, et de très loin! Vous devez vous sentir chanceux d'avoir été signé par napalm, mais moi je crois que ce sont eux les plus ravis! Continuez comme ça les amis et vous irez loin, très loin! Merci à vous de nous offrir cette tuerie métallique!

Napalm will sign anything it can, like most "mainstream" metal labels these days. I get it, it's a survival strategy in a world forever changed by the Internet. But if a certain label signed a band you used to know exactly what to expect. Peaceville was like that, and Relapse, and Earache. So were smaller labels like Avant Garde, Hammerheart, Adipocere, and Napalm, who single handedly brought up the Austrian black metal scene. Record label identities are largely lost nowadays.

Discovered this band a few days ago on bandcamp so it's a nice surprise to see them here on Napalm Records! I gotta say I had no idea the singer was actually female. That's really awesome!! She has a great voice!! Also love the symphonic metal elements in their music! :)

Just got into this band recently but I disagree with people who said the vocals have issues/can't understand. I can completely understand them after reading the lyrics while listening to it. Her delivery and tone is very unique. The instrumentals are of course impressive but her vocals make it sound a lot more epic and intense.
One of the most breathtaking tunes of the year, from an equally thrilling album. The scenery of the video is therefore perfectly fitting! That twist in the video is awesome!

Watching their videos you don't really appreciate how hard this is to play at this speed. I've been working on a Bloodline cover (guitar, vocals and bass) for quite some time now and it's so much work to become this good. It is really fulfilling though. :)
This video was absolutely amazing! Her screams are seriously some of the best in the MDM genre. Such a fantastic group, every song off their new album is a hit. A album that always gives me good feels when I travel and enjoy the rocky mountains here in Colorado. Can't wait to see what you guys create next time around.

Super le nouveau clip, on sent qu'il y a plus de moyens mais ça reste dans le même esprit que les précédents : sobre, pas prétentieux, mais efficace et dans des paysages impressionnants. Cette fois on a droit a une petite histoire en parallèle. A-t-elle une signification particulière ?
En tous cas ça fait bizarre de vous voir sous Napalm, j'ai suis presque triste d'avoir perdu mon groupe de proximité préféré, le talent local toulousaing caché méritant sa place auprès des plus grands du genre. Fini les concerts à l'usine à musique on dirait ^^
Bref bravo en tous cas, belle ascension, méritée ! Et je ré-itère : Marion, meilleure voix féminine du milieu, et l'une des meilleures tout court.
PS : joli plan de la passerelle Haedens à 2 pas de chez moi, ça valait le coup de se taper des mois de travaux ;)

Une signature chez Napalm, c'est une super news pour eux, mais ça ne t'envoie pas systématiquement au Bikini ou même au Métronum, hélas. Jinjer et Infected Rain aussi sont chez NR, avec des tournées aux US, et ils se retrouvent quand même à l'Usine quand ils viennent ici...
@@chrisstargazer6529 Pas faux, mais je vois un plus grand potentiel chez Aephanemer dans le sens où c'est hyper rassembleur : c'est énergique, épique, ultra mélodique sans être pompeux, ça tente des choses, c'est cohérent, constant... Et dans un genre relativement populaire. Je pense que la recette va vite trouver des amateurs avec ce vecteur de visibilité qu'est Napalm. Je n'aurais pas parié sur les groupes que tu cites, mais mon point de vue est peut-être biaisé par mes goûts. N'empêche que sauf erreur, la dernière fois que j'ai vu Aephanemer c'était déjà au Metronum, et il me semble qu'ils n'avaient pas encore signé. Tant qu'ils ne finissent pas au Zénith moi ça me va parfaitement comme ça ^^

Si le groupe continue à marcher on finira peut-être par jouer dans des salles plus grandes comme le Bikini, mais pour le zénith aucune chance ne t'inquiètes pas! C'est simplement hors de portée pour un groupe de Metal comme nous :-)

Après tout des groupes comme Ensiferum, Wintersun, Amon Amarth ne passent pas non plus au Zenith et pour ma part je trouve ça pas plus mal car c'est moins personnel comme salle (pour y avoir vu Motörhead).
En tous cas après avoir vu Finntroll au Bikini puis au Metronum, je trouve l'acoustique bien meilleure au Metronum. On y entend beaucoup mieux les mélodies, et pour des groupes comme le votre, c'est important. Hâte de la prochaine date d'ailleurs !
