There's a style of fighting that's similar I believe. I think the point of it is to seem drunk and inable, doing things in odd ways but still managing to be good because it's less predictable by nature. Doto would be the yugioh form of it. I couldn't give you the name of it as it eludes me, or I could just be making this up. I don't think the latter is happening here though.
I had a friend back in school who didnt have the money to buy any cards But he desperately wanted to play So I lend him one of my decks and I BS the whole game but he didnt care he was so happy to play, he didnt care he lose or even bother to learn any rules
I got a friend/ play partner who lives in the building next to mine. We go to each other's houses to play from time to time and I've been teaching him. It's pretty fun, we should have a rematch next time.
The thing i learned about MD is that if the card has a effect where you take damage first then the card can stiil inflict the damage to their opponent. This happened when i was playing Reliquished and it reflected damage back to them even though my monster was at 0 atk and they dealt a finishing blow. It dealt damage back to them and made the game a draw. Not sure how Ring of Destruction would work in this case but he could've used it even if he was going to lose.

Love these casual duels for fun and I think Konami should allow more banned cards to be crafted in order to have a large pool of formats that people would enjoy to play.

But each person is only allowed to use the dragon that was represented that particular duelist in the anime and to spice it up even more must use the character decks or you guys can make your own custom variations decks but i think the character decks would be more fun to watch.

To draw going first in master duel all you have to do is:
1) First turn player passes turn
2) Second turn player agrees to not attack.
It throws the card advantage off by one, but yeah pretty much
Second play also may not summon or set cards, also, if possible, go minus one (like activating Sparks, or Healing Spell)
