They should've put an 8-bit music option in this game for us longtime Mega Man supporters. I never gave up on you, Blue Bomber. I knew you'd come back.
That would be nice but think about this way: The developers also had enough of the fact that Mega Man couldn't evolve in terms of graphics, soundtrack and whatnot for 30 years, as much as we fans are. They probably thought that the past stays in the past. Mega Man must change in many sorts of sense. Putting an 8-bit OST option for the sake of fanservice, would ruin this vision. Thus, they gave us piano arrangements as a pre-order bonus. I don't know what other people thinks but this is my assumption. Maybe I'm just being optimistic. :D
I think that'd make the game more complete, actually, and with it being optional, I don't see how anyone's vision could be ruined. Even without it, they knocked it out of the park. MM11 was excellent!
Mega Man already evolved graphically with Mega Man 7 and 8 and they weren't well received.

Duuuuude, this arrange is sick. Hearing this song in 8-bit really brings out the composition that the original instrumentation couldn’t really do
Thanks a lot! The original instrumentation would've been more enjoyable if it was "dynamic", not mixed weirdly and had more variety. I've grown to the electronic sound design but it's bland for the most part tbh
@@marcine.mukuchi The reason electronic music feels bland is because it's not a dance/EDM track, it doesn't have the structures and buildups and drops that a dance track would. By using electronic music as a medium for the soundtrack they have to commit to one dynamic, and rely only on the melodies and instruments. That being said, the original has some nice reese-y, phased-moving bass sounds specially during the intro.
And if it weren't because this is real 8-bit sound, the same could be said about the dynamics here, being the same as the original.
Now if you compare CAPCOM's use of electronic music to that of Tekken 6-7, you'd notice that Tekken does go for a more EDM approach. So it's unfair to compare since different soundtracks are approached differently.
@@____orphevs I'm not articulate with what I said 2 years ago. "Dynamic" is the most vague term I used from my previous statement, so to clear that up - I was referring to the whole soundtrack from a music production standpoint. Nothing to do with (sub-)genre differences at all. I don't have problems with them in composition and arrangement, but I still have issues with the mixing process. It's like I'm just listening to a flat audio spectrum with very little dynamic frequency changes.
The bass sounds you mentioned? They just sit there in the mix. The notes are still discernible, but they don't have enough clarity to be easily heard.
The drums sound punchy when individually isolated, but they fight with the bass frequencies sometimes and it just becomes really muddy to listen to.
Every single instrument/synth aren't distinct from each other. There's a lack of individuality and presence from their timbres. That's what draws back the full potential of the OST for me, personally.
On another note, I'm not proud of my MM11 covers nowadays, lol. They were just made to rake in YT views because of an unhealthy mindset I had at that time.
No, the original is best.
Can't wait to cover a Megaman 7 remake of this song, this is my absolute favorite track in Megaman 11.

This was by far and away the best song in the game, and even in its original version still version felt very much like a Mega Man song. This version just proves how Mega Many it is. Great job to Marktherence. I don’t think the other songs in this game would make the transition as well.

Hands down, best song in the game. Tundra Man's Theme is probably more iconic only because people play that stage 1st every run. Its a close second in my book. Nothing tops this.

it sounds better than the original... but the theme is still kinda lackluster. It sounds more like a wily fortress theme than a robot master theme.
You could swap this song out with impact man's theme and it wouldn't bother anyone.
Erik Red uuuuuh, It would bother some people, Including me, Since Impact Man’s theme’s clanging sounds & Construction Theme doesn’t fit Fuseman, Trust me... the soundtrack wouldn’t fit if Say, Block man’s theme was switched with Tundra man, Or Torchman Switching With Bounce Man’s, as such... that opinion is invalid... but I respect your opinion, just the “Wouldn’t bother anyone” claim
