For a pole saw, I prefer electric too! You can do lots of work with one of those and I use it so infrequently, it is much better to not have a 2 stroke engine sitting there hardly used.
Can the shoot be switched to the other side? For example, if I towed the unit behind my side by side … could I chip directly into the bed of my sxs? Or does it only face one way (back)?
Unfortunately this machines chute is fixed in its position. However, the 4003 does have the capability to shoot sideways but it does require a tractor to run.

Absolutely, they work great. Its also nice to not burn your hand on the exhaust during those awkward reaches.
