There’s so many videos about Jeep’s leaking and none ever show where/how to find the leak locations. This is amazing, thank you so much man

Hello from Vancouver Washington!! My jeep is also a 2014. Just spent $2500 letting the dealership replace rubber gaskets between the hardtop and body. After washing the outside of it by hand I found driver side wet rug underneath rubber mat. Thanks a bunch for the helpful tips !!!

Ugh... just went exactly through the same cost at the dealer also with a 2014. They changed the rubber and foam seals of the hard top but to there was little to no improvement. I'll folow mike's tip.

Nicely done sir. My wife just got a 2018 JK 4dr Altitude and the leaks REALLY PISS US OFF. Hers is mostly a problem with the back doors/floor but there is some in the front. I cannot fathom why Jeep doesn't properly install gasket seals.

    • @reedrobb
      @reedrobb ปีที่แล้ว +2

If you have the oem gaskets, you might consider replacing them. The new part number includes a fin that was added at the middle of the front door by the mirror. They are about $125 each side but seem to help more so than these gimmicks on line

    Excellent diagnosis.
    Not knocking your ingenuity ...but
That foam is ment to stop air drafts, it'll eventually breakdown and need replacing.
There is products for this but its sold in big rolls for custom motor vehicles...campers, trucks, classic cars.
    Great idea either way!

I can tell you exactly where it was leaking out of one of those three places it's the upper top left and right hand corner closer to your windshield that's where it's prone to leak at I fixed many of these on customers Jeeps just like that

I have been testing a 2022 keep wrangler for 3 day & I love it but this might be a deal breaker for me 😒 for the price point and as long as this vehicle has been manufactured you would think this would not be an issue!

I rigged my garden hose to spray over the top of my jeep as it would when it’s raining and then I sat inside the jeep. After about a minute I started to see where the leaks were coming from.

I just bought a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel. The rain is getting in the front and rear floors.
I looked at many videos and the design flaw is that these Jeeps don't have a rubber gasket on the body panels, only on the doors.
Also, the roof rain gutters end at the front of the rear and front doors. When it rains, the water falls into the crack at the top of the doors and it ends up on the inside.
One owner used about a 1" wide one sided adhesive similar to yours on the middle black plastic areas on the body. He said it lasts about 6 months.
I live in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. It rains almost as much as Vancouver here.
This is a design flaw with the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator as they have removable roof panels and roofs.
I paid over $93,000.00 Canadian for this. My Jeep sits outside 24/7 and this is not acceptable!
I have an appointment at Willowbrook Motors on Wednesday.
I wondered why there are so many 2020 Jeep Gladiators for sale if they are so great. Now I know.
