Oh, Incidentally - check inside the HT terminal on the top of the coil - some coils are meant to have the HT lead connected straight into them (no plug) and have a threaded metal 'spike' for the HT wire to screw on to - might be why the plug didn't seem to fit.

Yeah I found them eventually. Was actually the rotary arm not moving properly
