Hi Genio In my experience, a misfire, even an intermittent one does stress these coil packs . That is exactly how this coil reacted at first intermittent , then constant . This coil pack stumbled for two years only 3-4 times until I had to change it . Hopefully , you don't get another misfire, but if you do :)

Great video Steve - I had a case were a PO300 misfire code was fixed with a spark plug change but admittedly I’m still uncertain when it’s a coil problem and when it’s just needing new plugs. My wife’s vehicle has a transversely mounted V6 and it’s suggested to move the three rear coils to the front as the rear of the engine gets hot - making the coils last longer. In your situation, I wonder if heat build up may have contributed to the misfire/coil problem? Thanks Steve, always something worthwhile watching on your channel, cheers
Coils are like plugs as they only go so far so hard access coils at 130k are best changed . Heat and moisture especially salt infused moisture sure affects the electronics . This one was easy to work on but some are a bear 😅😅 Cheers Ed
Same here. Car runs smoothly now, no shaking & check engine light went away. So I used the OBD reader again to make sure things runs smoothly. It still shows on the reader that P301 showing. It check engine light is gone & car runs smooth now. Should I be co concerned?
I have an 11 1.4 eco. Stabiltrac/traction control and cylinder 2 misfire. Flashing cel. Ive changed the plugs, coil pack, ground wire from battery, all the injectors and im still having the same issue. Any clue or advice? Codes are p0299 and p0302. Turbo and cylinder 2 codes...could this happen due to the timing chain? Getting frustrated...
@@SteveRobReviews true indeed! But yes unless I somehow got a faulty plug and coil pack I did check them. The parts I tried are the common diagnosis from others that had the same issues. I will say that the coil pack was from Amazon and definitely wasn't the acdelco variety. So I could reverify that one by getting another new one. Maybe I'll try that one again today and report back.
@ready2rise I can't say aftermarket coil packs are junk but I've yet had a new faulty AC Delco coil pack. It's definitely fixable with looking at scan data and understanding how to interpret it all.
I purchased a low cost bidirectional scanner over a year ago. It has been great but I would not suggest for someone that is not somewhat familiar with vehicles. You can get yourself in a lot of trouble really fast.

How come cylinder number is like that?????? from left(drive belt) it is 1, 2, 3, 4.. The firing order is 1-3-4-2. This means After #1 cylinder fire, then #3 cylinder fire.
Did anyone encountered the limb mode. I had a couple issues with the cruze mine is a 2ltr turbo charged diesel engine which is amazing regarding the power delivery anb all but recently my cruze went on limb mode and thought it might be the output speed sensor fixed it but turns out that it’s not the problem and my mechanic told it will be a gearbox issue and i have repaired my transmission which is on the way rn. So please let me know any face similar issues! Much appreciated and amazing video
@Brick squad 1017 Your definatey going to need a scan tool . Could be many things that can be tested and fixed forsure. Verify cylinder , fuel trims , is it mechanical ? Electrical? . Lots of testing forsure.

The Ac Delco coil pack seems to be working great . Buying origional parts that were installed at the factory in many cases are not available for the consumer. When I worked on the line at GM so many parts were only supplied to the factory and not even available at the dealer as they were given what would be an aftermarket part .

Mines all same symptoms replaced coil pack and all plugs and atill having same issues
Could be many things but I'd look at fuel trims for a vaccum leak but if it's running bad enough it should set a code.

@ready2rise That's a lot of parts , after all that I'd be verifying that the new parts are good . Lots of testing but it just has to be done.

I read once about a bad pcv valve. Take the hose off and see if it’s sucking air. If so, replace.

why a have oil on the sparks? and i have the same misfire
Could be a couple of things but oil fouled plugs indicate oil leaking into the combustion chamber thru the valves above or the rings below .

There are two different cylinder designations - cylinder identification number and then there is cylinder firing order.

Being ice cold didn't help but when it broke it felt like the clip had been heat baked a million times and just shattered HAHA
