Tom Mahon, Redmayne 1860's Head Cutter drafts a pair of bespoke +2's for a 2 piece shooting suit. Part two - A bespoke coat pattern cut using rock of eye method.
your videos have always been absolutely a joy to watch and learn! Who would have known +2 being that challenging to draft?! I'm again on constant replay mode with this video. Thank you for sharing and would love to watch the coat pattern being drafted as well!
Uuuh that was great. Your method seems better compared to standard German method when you draft front and back on top of each other. It is very tricky. I really love what you are doing. Thank you.
Mr. Tom, WOW!!!! Your vision and skill set is amazing. I hope that there are several young people under your tutelage. Thank you for sharing another fantastic video. 2023 I still have my hopes up for a pint with you and a suit made. Bill from Detroit Michigan USA🍻🍻
Hi Thom! I have always been a fan! I'd like to learn your rule on how to define the rear crotch point. how much do you extend from the front outwards? What is a "normal" front and back centre line split (I notice the inch which is added to the centre back waist). Thanks!
You're an artist! I will like more videos like this...
This was an absolute joy to watch. Thank you for bringing us to the drafting/cutting table! I'm looking forward to the video of the coat

So great to see another video by you. Always welcome. And just in time for the Glorious 12th!
I guess the fabric is from Johnston of Elgin? It doesn't have the name on the selvage but the selvage has the same color and style as my JOE fabric.
Simply amazing skill. Loved the video and also that beautiful watch.
Wonderful video and channel. Subscribed.
Thank you and welcome, Best, Tom.

Glad to see that even Tom wears jeans occasionally! It gives me hope - I may make a gentleman yet!
Hate to tell you but "gentlemen" are born, not made.
