Very useful tutorial. One reminder; when you delete that EQ dimension it actually warns to keep the EQ constrain or keep it. So if you say "keep it". So if you dont want to see it, you can just delete it but keep the constrait (so you do not need to "hide" it, it will remain there as a constraint). In order to review the deleted but remaining constraint afterwards, you can click on "reveal constraints" button on lower right.
Can I still move one of the dimensions around like upward or downward of the dimension next to it? Because after making the dimensions of the whole wall, they are all stick into 1 unit.
I am currently taking a summer revit course and your videos are live saving. I dont want to email my profesor everytime I have a question so your videos answers a lot of my questions. Thank you!
can you set the different tick marks on each side of a dimension? for example I want one end to be a diagonal tick mark and the other an open dot tick mark
I’m going to be doing as-builds and some design builds. I used to AutoCad, now I’m going to be using Revit 2019. Do I have to have Revit MEP to do the MEP work like you show in your great videos?
Just one thing I don't like about dimensions in Revit is the spot elevation command because of not allowing us to align spots. I really need to align spots when I make facade dimensions. Thank you for the tutorial and if you know how to solve this problem let us know.
Nice tutorial, again Milos. But there is missing one thing - how to make effectively dimension aligned with that sloped wall. You mentioned linear dimension, but only in main directions.
How can i rewrite the dimension withou changing a model ? When i get some crazy numbers like 734 or 1611 in window family opening and i want them to be 730 or 1600 without cahning anything in 3D....
Thanks for the videos man I have a question how do you save the sitings and families in Revit, so you don't have to copy past the families and make the sitting every time opening a new project.
I love your videos. I was wondering if you think you could model a log home. It's been extremely hard to deal with on my end and the tutorials out there already aren't very good.
Hi Sir Balkan I have a question that regards to the line weight of the dimension. In this case line weight is 0.1mm on Edit Type Properties. But it looks like 5mm and so obvious when using through line. How can we make it a real 0.1mm? Please advice thank you! By the way I'm one of your subscriber and fanatics I learned a lot on your tutorials. Keep it up. Thank you!
You didn't dimension the length of that angled wall section. Safe to assume that's just not a feature in Revit? I know AutoCAD has a sort of pull-off dimensioning feature, where you can just select a line and it will dimension its length end-to-end. I am flabbergasted that I can't do that in Revit. My workaround is to draw a detail line formatted to try and conceal it in the framing member and dimension that end to end. Dimensioning endpoint to endpoint of the framing member yields extremely unintuitive results - never the one I need.
you did not give dimensions to the "INCLINED WALL" in "INCLINED DIMENSION" for which it was made and that is the reason why i watched your video because i don't know how to dimension the inclined wall
It exist a offset for the dimension? Example , I dimension the wall windows but I want that the end point dimension will be 4’ . You can do that in Auto Cad. So Revit is putting dimension by eye ?Woooowwww this programs is for architecture and engineering , this = to (Precision). not putting things by eye . Revit it a joke but a bad one
I can’t wait to be a master at revit. Thank you so much.

I’m going to be doing as-builds and some design builds. I used to AutoCad, now I’m going to be using Revit 2019. Do I have to have Revit MEP to do the MEP work like you show in your great videos?
how do you do continuous dimensioning like picking up points along. witness line in 2019 seems not working.
