I can't even tell you how many times I've run into challenges with Revit and Balkan Architect has been the last instruction on the topic I utilized (because after watching I didn't need help anymore) . He's covers the content thoroughly, so you can follow along, without being pedantic. Thank you, sincerely Sir.
One of the best tutorials from Balkan since its helpful for those who make Structural details. I really appreciated and I would like to get more such nice details for different construction aspects.
thats amazing!! didn’t imagine that revit can provide something like that! , but in my opinion nothing can replace autocad for this job :) thank u for ur time and effort in making these amazing tutorials!
Love it. Your work is priceless tbh......but PLEASE do a video on Revit railings and the odd things that Revit does with them. I'm talking about connecting separate landing/stair rails to other stair rails at different levels. Multi-storey stairs feature still doesn't solve the issues.
Incredible. Most of that is new to me. The biggest problem I have in the program is getting sections and details out of the model that are decent. My only issue with this video is that it seems very time consuming. There is a point where I just end up drawing details with limes and components.
wow...it takes a lot of time and effort, should be another way around it??/..... wonder if it is better to do details in AutoCAd and then just import them..But amazing video overall, thank you for sharing.
One thing I will add, with details, usually its nice to have a library of details, that you can click and paste, and I prefer using drafting views because of this. For example, I do residential drafting, I do not want to re-dim, and re-detail, everytime I use the same detail, which is a lot...I use to do it this way, but way to much mucking around, for something I've drafted over and over again. One other thing that I do not like about Revit, is not so much on the initial drawing, but drawings change, when you move things, you lose your detail, and dims, and have to re-work the details. Revit should allow for unreferenced dims, similiar to ArchiCAD. Maybe make them in italics, or faded, something, that when you move a wall your dims don't disapear on your details, hence why I like using drafting views.
I feel that the way forward is to use details views as it allows you to have a library of details and simply drop them into your project, you can then use the call out to refer to the view, again and again, using "Reference Other View" option in the Callout creation.
We don’t use the callout tool in practice. We duplicate the view. If you create a callout and some twit deletes it on a drawing you loose all the work you did working up the detail. If you duplicate a section then reference it you’ll still have the view if the callout is accidentally deleted.
Hello balkan A. I love your videos. My question: Is it possible to lengthen a layer in a roof? my roof is vary thik with insulation, but the overhang is quiet thinner only the top layer of cladding. Normaly i make 2 roofs but that is not ok. What to do? Klaus form DK
hey balkan.. hav some trouble with few things in revit 1. gradient hatch in revit 2 . feets and fractional inches is there but its not like architecture or engineering in autocad can u say how to import that dimension style 3. how to import a new text style in revit .. in my case arial baltic 4. row heights in schedule ... having a new parameters in schedule is one of the solution i already know but other than that.. .. do one enscape tutorial.. it'll help ur channel
Feet and fractional inches, do not stack...This makes me angry, the text editing, notes, annotations in Revit suck to, Come on its 2018, Text style I think you need to install it into your windows operating system, but I do agree, revit needs someone like a Steve Jobs, to improve the look and feel of the software, add some pentables, etc. Its a pain working in B&W, even more painful to create different views. I guess the thing with revit, as a designer, I want nice text, I want stacked fractions, I want my drawings to have "Personality", the type you would see on a pencil drawing. Sketch rendering would be another feature I would add, see ArchiCAD. Also the family editor, there should be editing done inside the revit environment, as well as in the family editor, similiar to the way blocks are in AutoCAD. it should also have better cut and paste between the Revit environment and the family editor. My 2 Cents
Why are you using concrete for flooring and beams in a what looks like a residential house? In my country concrete is used as a slab flooring but only got level 1 and I'm medium to large buildings we then use concrete for multi story flooring
I have encountered problems with the Cut Profile issue. Time and again Revit warns against crossing lines or other issues which 'Cannot be Ignored'. Is there a way of showing up how to properly cut profiles?
The OOTB break lines look so bad. For my firm, I created a line-based 2-pick break line with a jog line that can be adjusted based on view scale, so all break lines throughout the project will have the same size jog line.
trying to learn soft so I am easily understanding everytNice tutorialng but I don't tNice tutorialnk it is for complete beginners who just opened the soft literally 5

Amazing explaining bro , thanks for the video 💪
you are a legend!!!
Awesome, can you please do a detail drawing showing the foundation also?
For the Insulation tool, instead of having to measure the width, they really need to add a "pick points" option.
You are the best!!!!! Thank you very much
using soft, can't wait to get my hands on it.

You can lock the details to the building elements

James Pike ironic that you said “it’s 2018” yet you still use feet and inches. Everyone should be using metric these days.
thanks
Thanks god that you not from India 😀 .. Keep it up bro 💪
I am curious, If he was from India, what was going to happen?
Great!
