A happy childhood gives us the strong core of confidence. Seen so many broken people due to unhappy homes. Nurture your children. Give them your time and attention and love. Don’t push your own experiences and expectations on them. Talk to them and treat them with respect.

OMG this is profound- I have seen this over and over again. A mother telling her child how horrible her own childhood was, and they should be grateful/feel pity for their mother, etc. This does NOT create a safe environment for their own children. And it makes them hate their grandparents!

I love your positivity, Lisa. Thank you for never making click bait “spilling tea” videos and instead focusing on uplifting content. It may not get as many views, but like you, I try to only let in the content that makes me feel good and not spend much time on drama or the news. Your videos always make me feel happy.

This was so on point Lisa!. This may sound crazy but I created the "lucky girl" life I wanted with intention. I was with a man for 13 years throughout my 30's and into my 40's. He was very negative and would criticize me constantly but we'd been together for so long and had bought a house so I stayed eventhough my mental health was declining. During this time I was also managing a company where my boss was very rude and I didn't have any vacation or time off for over 8 years. Something started to change in me and one day I up and left it all: my relationship, my home and my job; I just up and left! I found myself the cutest little studio where I lived alone for 1 year and was SO happy. After a year I decided I wanted love in my life again and one night (during a full moon lol!) I sat down, lit a candle and wrote a very concise list of exactly what I wanted my life to look like: A wonderful man who loved family and christmas and creating memories, a job that paid me well and allowed for a healthy work/life balance, a home with a million dollar view of the city and ocean. 2 weeks after I did this little "ritual", I met my husband. We've been together for 9 years (married for 5), I work at a wonderful place only 3 days a week which allows me 4 day weekends to go on getaways and to pursue my passion and hobbies and we live in a beautiful place with gorgeous views of the city, mountains and ocean. I believe that the reason I received this "luck" was because I promised myself that I would NOT settle for anything less than what I envisioned and when we treat ourselves with respect and only accept what we deserve, that's what we manifest. Love you Lisa. Hello from Vancouver canada

That's so funny. I was reading your comment and when you were describing where you live, I thought "bet it's Vancouver" and voila! There aren't that many places that tick all the boxes, city, ocean, mountains, and since I too live in Vancouver, I recognized it right away. Loved your comment, and am very happy for you that all turned out as you wished ☘

I am an academic librarian at a community college in NYC. Yesterday I spent about 25 minutes helping a student find calculus and chemistry textbooks books that she could borrow. She was pleasant, positive, upbeat, engaged in her courses, and energetic. She wore an Islamic head covering and her body was covered from head to toe with clothes and white boots on a 70 degree day. The only skin showing was her completely burned face and stubs for hands. Although, she did have two stubby fingers on her right hand which allowed her to turn the pages of the heavy books I held while she eagerly searched the table of contents. I think we could learn a lot from this woman.

Being “lucky” isn’t biblical. The Bible teaches us that we are loved and highly favored and that if we trust in God and accept Jesus as our savior we will live forever. Please be very clear in that.

May all of us remember that Jesus loves us beyond understanding and His plans for our lives are far more beautiful than all we dream of. Let Him take the lead. Life on this earth is short but our soul is eternal. let's choose in which eternity we want to go and pray for the power and the will of the only God there will ever be. Bless you.

I resonate with what you’re saying. But luck has nothing to do with it. I strive to be thankful and grateful for what I’ve been given. If there’s more out there, I trust the Lord to open the doors for those things and keep an open mind to new ideas for it all and try new things. Stay away from negativity. Keep my mind free from negative thoughts, which isn’t easy for me. Not how I grew up. God bless you ❤

Darling Svetlana, post-partum health problems are so under-treated. I've been there. Get help with the kids, and especially get some hormone balancing dietary advice. I didn't learn until a decade after having kids that your thyroid is one of the first things to suffer. Of course there's a lot of aspects to losing your identity, but nutrition is often the primary cause. Perhaps start with your protein?

I fought it for a long time, but going 100 percent carnivore has become the foundation and jumping off point for me to have a better life. At 54 I was completely tired and unmotivated. I was a vegan so I'm so glad that I was able to be open minded enough to try another way. I feel like a different person now--with the energy and motivation to dream again...to be joyful. You are exactly right, Lisa! This is one of the main reasons I love your channel so much! You are a very positive person! I am the same way. It really comes down to the individual, & the choice to be grateful. For starters, I've always been grateful to be a woman who was born in the USA in a time when women have had more freedoms than ever! I'm grateful for the beautiful sunsets at night, & my tall glass of home brewed iced tea. I'm grateful for the sky full of stars & the beautiful moon over the mountains...I could go on & on! I know I'm a lucky girl!

  • @littleninja71

Very interesting concept. I'd say that lucky is not tied to age, that progression is very rarely linear, and that sometimes saying we're lucky takes away from the efforts we put forth to remain positive, resilient, and confident with the assumption that the only way the good things came to us was by luck vs. intention.

I know I'm a lucky girl and what you said really resonated with me.
Two years ago my marriage fell apart when my husband left me for another woman. My life crumbled. But very shortly after that, I got a clear message in my head that said “This was meant to happen”. Even though it was hard to hear, I understand it now. I needed to grow and really learn to love myself. Now two years later, I feel empowered, happy, and vibrant. My next love has not arrived yet, but I KNOW, that is going to happen. And when I go on dates, I know I'm attractive and I feel magnetic. Like you Lisa, I love constantly learning and being appreciative of everything life has to offer.

Dang we got up this morning, made coffee and boom, our power went off. No idea why. So got my cell phone and watched Ms. Lisa. Thank you for keeping me sane this morning. LOL I have been watching these reality shows like the real estate one called Selling Sunset. Boy those people are unbelievably unhappy, going at each other. Even if one tries to be positive, another woman will pull them down. I even joined a Facebook group and find that just as negative. I need to dump that stuff. That stuff is toxic as all get out and unrealistic. I think I started to watch them because I was curious first about the houses but quickly found out that is not what is about at all. Anyway, it is so true to get rid of stuff like that, people who drag you down, negative thoughts. I know that is not always possible 100% of the time but it is worth it to try to do the best you can. I was a political junkie big time and gave that up long ago. I do stay informed but not 24/7. Interesting topic. Thanks for giving us all food for thought.

Omg I love this!!!! I try to model this for my 18 yr old daughter. It’s hard to explain that I feel lucky, love my life and KNOW everything will work out. My daughter says i sound like I’m bragging but I’m not. I teach special Ed preschool students, adore my husband and cannot imagine a better daughter than I have. Why are we made to feel like we can’t love our lives!

Thank you Lisa! I teared up listening to you. It’s funny, my middle name is Joy and everyone calls me joy because, honestly, my past joyful outlook and personality. i’m 53 now and seemed to have lost my joy. I blame much of that on daily severe pain I deal with bc of a back injury and failed back surgery. I do have other joys in my life and i thank God often for them. however, when it comes to me personally, i just don’t feel joyful. I am going to work on it more. one by one! even with pain, i know i can do some things to get there ☺️be blessed & full of joy!

Hi Lisa. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences with other people who may be feeling the same or experiencing similar situations. I’m 54 yo and can relate to much of what you’re talking about. I always try to stay positive and be thankful for my many blessings. I remember being 19-20yo wishing I could win the lottery so I could move to a nicer home. I didn’t win the lottery loI, but went back to school and became a nurse, and remember thinking my wish came true! I didn’t win the lottery, but I was able to build my first, maybe my forever home at age 32yo. I have 2 wonderful children, and although my first marriage with their father wasn’t meant to last, I’ve remarried and have a wonderful husband who treats me with respect and unconditionally loves me.
On another note, I’ve been doing the carnivore diet for about 6 weeks, and have been having problems with leg cramps, not sleeping well, fatigue and just not feeling as good. I usually feel happier and more positive than I have been for the past few weeks. I started the carnivore due to IBS symptoms and having that menopause stomach flab lol! Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!😊😍

I love your attitude about the news. I haven't watched TV or commercials over 5 years. My clients will give me updates. The news is junkfood for the soul of the worst kind. Bad news sells. My sister wanted to be in broadcasting on college and her college classes told her people listen to bad news more often so that's what's broadcasted. This was in the early 80's and it's only gotten worse with the prescription commercials...tell you the symptoms and sell you the medication that never cures....Society will finally find out one day that emotions cause a lot of dis-ease

This is the attitude I’ve had all my life. I suppose because my mother instilled it in me & my dad had an attitude of “endless possibilities”. When my husband met me he said I was the luckiest person he had ever met! I didn’t think of it as being lucky, but I guess that’s how it comes across. I am also a lifelong learner and that helps a lot! Never stagnant & always striving for improvement. ❤

Hi Lisa, I enjoy watching your videos. :) You made some good points in this video. It is important to fill our minds with good things. I personally don’t believe in luck. I believe every good and perfect gift comes from above. What I have learned is that I am one of those people who has had a negativity bent. Perhaps some form of self-protection or coping mechanism. I do believe it’s good to set goals. In the past I have had my head in the clouds and had “magical thinking”. Through a lot of disappointments and disillusionments, which was extremely painful…I realized that I was not being realistic. I guess it is good to balance being realistic with positive thoughts, though not in a magical way in which “all of my dreams come true”. The truth is that we don’t always get what we want and I think that is a good thing. Not everything that I thought I wanted was good for me. I can’t call myself a “lucky girl” because again I don’t believe in luck. I can call myself blessed because I do believe that every good and perfect gift comes from above.

Hey Lisa, thanks for this! I honestly tried really hard to not judge by thinking “of course you’re lucky, look at your life!” But I think that’s the whole point, you built that life and are just reaping the fortunes of what you sowed. With that being said, could you please share: What are you reading/watching? Who do you listen to?

I’m a loss for words; but this message is SO TRUE. Mindset & self perception will navigate your entire life, so both need to be strong & positive. At 65 my life is living proof of that. After a lifetime of trauma I took one year to seriously work on myself. As a result I’ve found the love of my life & have completely changed the direction of my future! Thank you for a beautiful reminder of how “Lucky” we really are Lisa! 😘💕🍀

This is probably one of the best videos I've ever seen you make and I've watched you for years, although not consistently.
I have been a very sarcastic and negative minded person most of my life and the reason is more primarily because it was too be humorous but also a defense mechanism. I'm an only child of a single alcoholic mother, so it served me to have a tough exterior. That said, I'm 54 years old now and in the last few years I've really tried to change this based on things that would be now categorized as the lucky girl syndrome.
I've been a news and political junkie for years. I've told people things that I could see we're going to happen happening even when no one believed it and then they came back to me to say, "wow you really saw that coming" and I probably prided in myself in always knowing what's going o, but it is to my own detriment because the negativity that is involved in being able to see the writing on the walls, especially with bad things happening, is not a blessing at all. As a Christian, being rooted in knowing that God loves us and that He has our backs is so important. I think the number one thing that Christians never get right is to really truly understand how much God loves us. It's so much like the parent-child relationship, like when we see our children disappoint us, you know you would never for any reason or circumstance be able to stop loving them, yet as Believers we somehow miss this mark with God, and it changes the entire trajectory of our lives in positivity and in peace when we get that right.
One of the things I can add to this that might be helpful to people, is writing things down. When we were young and there were no phones, we all prided ourselves in our penmanship and handwriting and so forth, and I find now as an adult that writing things down in a list or in a journal is super helpful. Especially just venting to it like you're blabbing it to somebody about all the things you're upset about. It helps you to cast that negativity out of your own mind and heart, like parking it somewhere else out of you raelf, and the other thing that is a super helpful tool is making a list of every little thing, not just goals, but things that you're going to do, even if it means just washing clothes, going to the market and washing your car. When you write those things down and then you cross them out, drawing that line through them totally motivates you to do more. I will sometimes list every single thing that I want to purchase, every single thing that I already purchased and I need to return, every single thing that I still need to do, every little thing that I have done and just sit there and draw lines throughout my list over the course of however long it takes and it really makes me feel like I've accomplished so much. That is a big motivator for people who have a hard time feeling like they're ever getting anything done.
Lastly I just want to say you've always been such a breath of fresh air to see on TH-cam. Someone who's always been very genuine and honest about everything, never really putting up a facade like so many people do as influencers or people on the internet. I truly appreciate you for that and I hope that God is blessing you and your family richly, everyday❤

@@TraceyBergum thank you, Tracey. It's so nice to hear that someone else thinks some of the things I do... sometimes I say if someone had to live inside my head for a day, they'd be looking for the escape hatch in no time! Lol... I'm always active in my mind and I wonder what some would think if they could see inside there. I told my son recently, "I think I'm going to donate my brain to science because there's a LOT going on in there!" ☺️
