I have a '24 Ecoboost and it is nearly identical to this model. Ford undersells itself, however, in the topic of highway miles. I took it for a 5 hour drive on the Interstate, going between 65-72 MPH, and it averaged 36.7 MPG at the end of the trip. The trip included stops and backed up traffic due to accidents and weather. In perfect conditions, I could have gotten 40 MPG. Incredible for a sports car.
The Mustang is legendary...my brother had a 1966 which was a classic. Great review. I was wondering if you were going to be able to get out of back seat. Kudos for getting back there.
Very true, I had a 2014 but I’m sure I’ll have another at some point. Not the best back seat but it’s nice to have for storage and emergency passengers 👍🏼

Happy new year Scott! My theory is that the GT’s new 5.0 is reasonably overrated, and not many true enthusiasts want to buy the ecoboost. I’ve seen the new ecoboost stock do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds whereas I don’t believe I’ve seen the GT’s 5.0 break the 4’s. So in the last 10 years the GT hasn’t really made many improvements in performance, all while costing more and more every year. Just not what the people want, even though the cars are still really cool 👍🏼
Compared to other turbocharged engines, the ecoboost is one of if not the most reliable range of engines available. If you’re strictly looking for reliability, I’d steer you towards something naturally aspirated but as far as turbos, this is a good choice 👍🏼
Don’t say that. Inline engines are becoming more popular because the dealership companies are saying that they are more reliable and better fuel efficiency. The V6 engines are getting old and starting to consider them “The Grandfather” of car engines. Even GM motors went with an inline engine for there Buick. Inline engines are better and reliable. I’m telling you. You will never go wrong. I’m driving a 2015 Ford Mustang Ecoboost Premium with the same engine. Inline 4 Turbo. Great engine. And to this day, it never fails me. Ford discontinued the V6 engine in 2017 because of the gas mileage. That’s one of the reasons or the only reason. So when you buy a Ford Mustang, you will have choice between the 2 engines: The 2.3 or 2.4 liter inline 4 turbo or the V8 which is the GT model and Dark Horse. I’m a Mustang fan, but not a fan of the 1980s model. Go test drive one. You will like it. If you don’t like it, there are other options, but not as reliable as the Ford Mustang. BMW has technical issues, but it uses an inline engines. Toyota Supra is really small but it has an inline engine. It cost more for a Supra for the base model than a Ford Mustang Ecoboost after taxes and fees. Try it out.

You have to think about the state he is located in. Every state has their own tax purposes. So maybe where he lives at cost more. Also, think about inflation as well. Inflation has brought the prices up to a lot of things. Not just vehicles. The other reason is the features he got. Think about that as well. Where I live at, the Ecoboost Premium cost between $35,000 to $40,000. But the taxes are cheaper where I live at. I drive the 2015 Ecoboost Premium. If I trade mines in for that newer 2025 model, I would be under $40,000 because of the taxes and the trade-in value. Even if I get the fully loaded model. You have to read and look into those things.

I just thought of this. I bet the reclining seats being manual is for safety reasons.

A lot of people say they would not pay that price for a 4cylinders, in my mind i prefer 4cilinders with 315hp than a v6 with the same power

Coming from a DH owner, for the price of the ecoboost your better off with a gr corolla, or civic type R or just get a gt with a couple options.
