- During the Motor Sportive Day event in France, I have filmed a MAD Ford Sierra RS Cosworth equipped with an insane antilag system doing some accelerations and revs. The bangs it made was like a gun going off ahah!

Proper anti-lag. Awesome. I believe it was developed for the Escort Cosworth to keep the turbo spinning while off the gas. Not like the fart can button you get on the new Focus RS. There’s one near me and AARRGGGHH, does my effing head in. It sounds awful. Ford, take note. In fact I used to have an old Sierra 1.6 with a broken exhaust. Sounded identical.
However I agree. The engine sounds like a bag of bolts and it doesn’t appear that quick either.
1. Any turbocharged petrol car can have anti-lag, launch control and pops & bangs with the correct software. Never been a fan of ford tbh but that doest look like 560hp, more like 400hp cus those Sierra's arent heavy to start with.

Alex P He's just taking them for a ride and going easy on the throttle. That's also why you find a lot of comments complaining that it's slow.

Basically keeps the fuel pumping when the throttle has been released. The pops and bangs are caused when unburnt fuel explodes on the hot exhaust. Thats a basic description at least
Dean Scott yes, but you forgot to say why it's used. The little fuel/air mixture explosions are to keep the turbocharger spool spinning.
