Could you possibly do “sound of winter” - bush, and “my song” - jerry Cantrell? There’s no tutorials on TH-cam and you’re the best teacher on TH-cam Ryan!
Alice and Chains unplugged always brightens the day. Man I bet your floor looks like a woodpecker got loose in the house in that room with all the bells and clipboards flying around. Thanks again for another great lesson.
My son (13 years old) entered recently into a Pearl Jam phase. We actually listened 5 hours of PJ on the way back from Italy last Thusday. I told him about your channel and the video about your video with Stone Gossard. He still didn´t believe a was "friend" (if you allow it) with a TH-camr. I showed him this video. After seeing the video he said : "cool". I guess from a teenager it´s a great compliment...
I allow and encourage it, oh encourager of the campfire version! say hello to your son for me, and I await my 11 year old's pearl jam phase. He has been present for every step of my great friendship blossoming with Stone and couldn't possibly care less :) :) :)
16? I'm worried mine.'ll break cos I have 5 going. Sound Matching is so cool. example: I use 10hr Thunder & Lightning, 'live' Ocean Storms and I just love Blizzards. Cartography by Ed Vedder plays 24/7 on low volume whilst the unearthly deep voice of angelic Carl McCoy blasts out on max, today.
I realize something. When I practice an old song and I making chords acording the song "it bring me back memories from that time". (girlfriends, parties, old friends, etc). THANK YOU RYAN FOR MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Ill put you a nickname "RYAN DELORIAN"
@@RyanLendt Hi Ryan, Is there any possibility sometime in the future you could do a tutorial of Long gone by Chris Cornell? Acoustic? Also maybe Dead Wishes? I’m sure you’ve got no end of people asking you for tutorials so appreciate if you ever can get around to those songs. Many thanks Ryan! Many many thanks, Steve.
Sorry my grammar is all over the place in my previous message, apologies. That was meant to read - if some time in the future you could do.... Apologies how the previous read. I'm a polite English lad really. Cheers
I started the day playing plush (whole step down), decided to play Daughter. So I had retune to it's whacked tuning, which made me think of Oceans. So then I went to open D. I put down my guitar for a bit and see you've done an AIC "How-to" so of course that means retune to half step down. I don't even know what "standard" tuning is anymore. Great lesson. I do love me some AIC. Side note: because of AIC I do leave at least one guitar in 1/2 step down, but it's too hot to want to turn on the amp so it's all acoustic for now. So, feel free to do as many "unplugged" tutorials as you want 🙂
AHA, I got it! Alice in Chains. Confession, I don't really know their stuff. I'm a PJ, EVsolo, FOTN and adore all the great oldies like George Harrison.
@@kerryreedus333 I was living in San Diego when Alice in Chains Facelift came out (a year before PJ released 10) and was immediately a huge fan. So AIC was my introduction to the "Seattle sound." As much as I loved 10 when it came out, PJ of my second favorite Seattle band; Soundgarden is #3, and Nirvana gets an honorable mention.
"Cut You In" by Jerry Cantrell is a deep-cut that I'd like to see/hear/learn. It sounds like he's using all that barre-chord-but-just-kidding-barre-chord thing.
very nice as always Ryan. Not a lot of good Tom Petty "Don't Come Around Here No More" tutorials out there, ... you thin you can add that to your list eventually?
I wish you guys that do these lesson videos would include the vocal melody. Like I'm trying to learn the vocal melody to Plush by ear and man I feel like I'm falling.
So you're the guy who will name and play all the songs if you were caught with Pearl Jam T-shirt and someone asked you 5 songs names (thank you for bringing grunge in my life, I like it so much, never liked it before)
Hey there musical genius. Please, I play ukulele because I'm an old lady with small hands. I'm often able to work out how to play tunes, just recently taught myself Cartography and Carving. I'm unable to work out PHOTOGRAPHS. Please, give me the chords! The chords should be supplied with the tunes if you ask me! Ryan, my dear, you taught me Can't Keep and Picture in a Frame, amongst others. One difficulty is that I am left handed, so saying pinky here and ring finger there does not work for me. I need notes and chords. You are the genius. Loved it when Stone came to see you, like wow man, wow.......
This channel is everything a 90's music fan could ask for thank you so much Ryan!
you have excellent taste sir ;)
When my favorite guitare teacher explain a song of my favorite band thx u 😍
"And if we change , well i love you anyways..."
cheers Dos!

luckily there's 80's linoleum on the floor so it's completely unscathed :)
I'm surprised that you don't have at least 100,000 views man, you are the best and simplest.
appreciate that Tori :)
I am a fan of your playing of the AIC songs! They are my favorite band and you make it easier for me to play them. Thank you.

you can offset the heat your amp gives off by leaving your refrigerator open

it's an honor UFEAR :)
I dont care what anyone says Taylors have such a beautiful rich sound.
who dares say they dont!?
Love this one. You think this could be made into a marsh mellow roasting version that includes the verse base line? Hmm 🤔
at the sacrifice of the slide into the chord. i feel like that's important
@@RyanLendt yeah I was trying to work it out but my my campfire building still requires a blowtorch.
just saying thanks after all this time, dude you taught me my Eddie Ate Dynamite ....
