Joy Williams is amazing. Her songs touch my heart. I just know that when she starts touring again I will be at a show. With lots of tissues. Front Porch has hit a chord that cannot be unstrummed.
The third song she's singing called The Trouble with Wanting, the title got it wrong, not From This Valley. Love her so much btw! I know her from The Civil Wars, the best duo I ever know!
I'm a picky listener, but some music just hits you *exactly right* and you don't want to change ANYTHING. You can just take it in and *experience it* together with the performer. It's one of the best feelings in the world.

Joy has more than enough talent to carry a performance with her own band....unfortunately her work with John Paul set an amazing standard, with those ethereal other worldly harmonies...solo, both of them are extraordinary, but together....superextraordinary.....
